Rev.16: #53~1-12~pt.3 GODS GREAT WRATH POURS OUT 5-8-10
Today we’ll continue here in chapter 16: talking about “the bowl judgments”, these are the final and most intense of the horrors that are coming on the earth dwellers, these bowl judgments climax with the return of the Lord Jesus Christ as He defeats His enemies at the battle of Armageddon.
Let me remind us that there are 3 sets of judgments that we’re told about to do with the Tribulation.
There are the 7 seals, the 7 trumpets and the 7 bowl judgments, with the bowl judgments being the most intense and painful and horrific.
~~ We left off I believe it was in verse 12 talking about the “GREAT RIVER EUPHRATES” but we’re in no hurry~~
Ø Lets read over these verses and try to hook back up.
1And I heard a great voice**{GOD} out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways,**{different duties} and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.**

3And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

4And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. {not as blood, but blood, all fresh water, drinking water}
5And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, (is) and wast, {always has been} and shalt be, {forevermore} because thou hast judged thus.
6For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. {Notice; it’s God that gives them blood to drink and its because of the saints and Prophets they have killed, they martyred}

7And I heard another {VOICE} out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
This voice is likely the tribulation Martyrs that were calling out from under the Altar back in chapter 6:9-11 when they cried out for vengeance, remember this is the day of vengeance, the day of grace as we think of it is over, but let me say that there will be people saved in the Tribulation that never heard the truth before the rapture, they were left behind when the rapture happened back in chapter 4: but there will be multitudes that will be saved when they hear the preaching of the Jewish missionaries**{144000} that we read about back in chapter 7:
The True Church is not on earth in any part of the Tribulation, we’ll be taken off the scene, we’re safe in Christ Jesus, He is our Ark, and the flood waters so to speak of the Tribulation can never touch us.
Ø A good way to understand this is to recall that God told Noah back in
Genesis 7:1 & 16 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come** thou and all thy house into the ark;--- 16And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. **--Notice; God told Noah and his family to come in.
Verse 1-And the LORD said unto Noah, Come** thou and all thy house into the ark;---
Gen.7:verse 1 God told Noah to “come inside” this reveals to us that God was in the Ark as HE spoke. And verse 16 tells us that God closed the door, HE shut Noah and Noah’s family in, NOTICE; God closed the door, it wasn’t Noah that closed the door, it was God.
Let me say that Noah or any member of his family possible could have fell down inside the Ark but they could never fell out, it was impossible to get out, and let me say that no one else could get in, and the reason why is because God shut the door.
Are you IN CHRIST? If so you’re safe.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now**no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
We’re in the family into which we were born physically, and we’ll always be in this same family, we may change our name or even move to the other side of the world but we’ll always remain in the family we were born in, the DNA will be there, have you been born again of the Holy Spirit? If you have then you’re a member of Gods royal family.
And let me say, if your not you can still enter by the DOOR, its still not too late.
Jesus said in John 10:6-- Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep--
I may not be the best son Gods ever had and I’m sure I’m not and far from it, but never the less I’m one of His children. There’s obedient children and there are disobedient children, and often times God will correct His children, if we were not His then HE’D never correct us, He don’t chasten the devils children, only His, so if your in Christ Jesus {Who is the DOOR of our ARK} you’ll go in the rapture, whether we’re obedient or disobedient children is entirely up to us, this involves our works which will determine our rewards when we all stand at the judgment seat of Christ.
I’ll have more to say about rewards later in this chapter Lord willing.

8And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him*{the sun} to scorch men with fire. 9And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Like the fourth trumpet, the fourth bowl also is a judgment that affects the starry heaven, specifically the sun.
In the fourth trumpet the judgment extends to a third part of the sun, moon, and stars, resulting in the darkening of a third part of the day and of the night.
But the 4th bowl is to do with only the sun and increases rather than decreases the sun’s intensity and the result is that men are scorched with fire.
This divine judgment is apparently upon the entire earth, ands it does not bring men to repentance but only increases their blasphemy, even though they recognize that the plagues are comeing from the God whom they reject.
We don’t believe that true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ will suffer from this plague,**{tribulation saints} and possibly creatures other than men may also escape, because the verse say’s--
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God—true believers would never blaspheme Gods Holy Name.

10And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness;**{pitch black as we around here might say} and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pain {s}*{more than one} and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
We read here-- because of their pains and their sores—
Lets notice that this is “bowl judgment number 5” and its telling about “their sores” which was caused by the opening of bowl judgment # 1, in verse 2
I find it interesting that “trumpet*** judgment number 5” is telling about the demonic monstrosities from hell stinging men for 5 months, and I’m sure that their stings has caused great pain and aggravates their sours because of it.—
Ø Listen as I read from chapter 9:1-6 and realize its trumpet judgment number 5.
1And the fifth angel sounded, {5th trumpet} and I saw a star**{angel} fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
{notice--GOD WILL HAVE HIS SAINTS MARKED with His seal}
5And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.—they’re not able to kill themselves, they can’t die, their continuously tormented.
CAN YOU IMAGINE, every way you turn there’s more attacking you, their not going to kill people, they were commanded not to kill, but continually sting people for 5 months.
I guess most of us have been stung by yellow jackets and know what pain they bring, well these demonic creatures from hell will be many & painful like we’ve never experianced.
Ø Now listen to what they look like. In verses 7-10
7And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
No one has ever seen a horror movie that can match what’s going to take place.
Notice; who this 5th bowl plague falls on—16:10= the seat of the beast; and his kingdom
Again, this is not telling about true believers, because they will have repented of their sins and received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and I believe God will have His saints marked, so they are true believers, the Tribulation Saints.
And let me say that the Tribulation Saints are not and cannot be part of the Church, the True Church is ONE BODY, and the Body goes together, when you go into the next room of your house you can’t leave your hand or foot behind, the body goes all at one time.
And let me say too; that not any part of our body can make a single move unless it receives a message from the HEAD to do so.---and JESUS IS THE HEAD OF THE BODY.
The Tribulation Saints will be servants in Gods Temple.
Revelation 7:14-15 These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:--
So the darkening of the Antichrist’s throne & government) also brings with it great pain. From a scorching sun to total darkness they will be stumbling around in pitch black running into things, hitting and bumping their sores and scorched skin, they have no water, only blood to drink.
6For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink for they are worthy.
Notice, they not only have these terrible sores brought about by the 1st bowl of verse 2 and greatly intensified with the stinging of the scorpions in chapter 9:, but now increased heat, and no water. There will be great chaos, pain, and agony!
The fifth bowl judgment is directed to the throne of the beast and his subjects. We believe his head quarters will be in Rome.
This judgment brings darkness & pain, combined with the preceding judgment when sores were inflicted in the first bowl judgment that will be greatly intensified by the stings of the scorpions in chapter 9:
Ø In both trumpet and vial judgments, there is pain and torment. We’re told here that these wicked people even in their suffering and gnawing of their tongues for pain and severe agony continue to blaspheme God.
Again let me emphasize the sores inflicted in the first bowl are here in this judgment, aggravated and increased greatly by the stings of the scorpions in chapter 9:-these judgments will fall swiftly.

And still the earth dwellers blasphemed God because of these judgments and do not repent of their deeds, and we’re told again in verse 21 that they continue to blasphemed God, this is the last reference to their failure to repent.
You and I would think that surely after all of this that the earth dwellers would fall on their knees in humble repentance and call out to God for mercy, but in stead their blasphemy is deepened.

Ø Sinner friend if you might be listening, I want you to consider the situation that your in right
now as your listening, if you are so unfortunate as to be left behind at the rapture, “and you will be if you don’t receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour this side of the rapture, because your hearing the truth of Gods Word, you will witness 1st hand these plagues that we’re talking about today, if the rapture takes place while your in your lost condition you will experiace these horrors.
There are some I’m sure that don’t know what he or she must do to be saved, so listen and I’ll read to you from Gods Word how to be saved.
It would be a shame to hear what I’m talking about and not know how to be saved. Here is the Bible way to be saved.

Ø Jesus said in
John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,** {not as some body else has said} out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Romans 10:9-11 9That if thou*{put your name here, you are the THOU} shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,** {YOU ADMIT Jesus I know and confess that you are Lord} and shalt believe in thine heart**{not just a head knowledge but a heart knowledge as best as I know how} that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
IF YOU WILL PRAY THAT PRAYER OR WORDS SIMILAR TO THEM AND TRULY MEAN what your praying, on the authority of Gods Word you’re saved.
It don’t matter what you’ve done in your life, God is waiting for you to call on Him.
Jesus said in John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out--
And now that you’re a child of God get in a good Bible believing church, a church that preaches and teaches out of the old KJ Version.
I’m not saying that you can’t be saved sitting under another version of the Bible, its sorter like eating chicken soup, you can hear parts of the Bible under these other versions and get a piece of meat ever once in a while, but why not stay with the True Word of God and enjoy the whole chicken, don’t start out compromising, stay with the entire True Word of God.
