Summary: For someone in the middle of your storm, hear the word of the Lord (let us go over to the other side) You’ve got to make it, there is somebody on the other side of your storm who needs you to make it.

You’ve got to make it

Mark 4:35-41 and the same day when the even was come he saith unto them, let’s pass over unto the other side then look at chapter 5:1 and they came over to the other side of the sea

for somebody tonight that’s your word that your Rhema word, that’s what you need to hear tonight.

I’m talking to somebody who has a word from God:

*maybe God told you he was going to save your children.

*maybe he told you your ministry was going to another level of influence and effectiveness.

*Maybe he told you that you were going to meet that husband or wife you been believing for.

*Maybe he told you he was going to bless and prosper you financially, you’re going to get out of debt.

*You’ve got a word from God.

Tell your neighbor: I’ve got a word

(but your word is being challenged).

Is there anybody here who knows their word is being challenged?

Between your word and the other side or (manifestation) you’re going to have to fight the good fight of faith.

I came to help somebody tonight:

I came to tell you that the devil has enough power to challenge your word, but he doesn’t have enough power to change your word!

Jesus said (let us go)

*Divine presence (guaranteed).

There’s something about his presence that makes the difference, he doesn’t promise us exemption from problems. But he promises divine presence in the problems.

David said; Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil (for thou art with me)

Moses: was so dependent upon the presence of God, that he said (if your presence does not go with us, don’t take us from this place).

strength and honor are in his presence

Psalms 16:11 in his presence is fullness of joy

(I will never leave you nor forsake you)

there are people who start out with you, and they say you can always count on me, I’ll be there for you.

But when things get bad you look around and they’re either gone or become invisible.

When you got money you got friends, but a real friend is one who is still there when the money is gone.

(If you’ve got one real friend you are rich)

Jesus said: I’ll be that friend that sticketh closer than a brother, he was there before you had any money, before your position, before you had a beautiful house, the new car, before you were all dressed up.

He was there when you were in the projects, and you were walking to work, or riding the bus, and you got your clothes from the Goodwill store.

Somebody knows what I’m talking about: when you were trying to decide should I pay my electric bill or should I get some groceries. (He was there)

he promised us, no matter what comes your way in life I will be there with you.

Tell your neighbor: I’ve got a friend.

Our Scripture says: there arose a great storm (a great storm)

*arose: means it came up out of nowhere, no warning, no advance notice, everything was going good, smooth sailing (and all of a sudden) man its in-your-face.

You’re hearing the doctors report saying I’m sorry there’s nothing medical science can do for you.

You’re sitting across from that husband or wife and out of the clear blue sky they hit you with those words I want a divorce.

You went to work on the job you’ve had for 5 or 10 or 20 years, you thought you had job security, you had seniority, you had a nice little retirement building up. But they told you the economy is bad the company is downsizing we have to let you go and worst of all you lose all your benefits.

I know I’m talking to somebody, you saved and saved doing without so you could get that car you always wanted, then sickness hit you or you were injured on the job you miss one month’s payment and they came and got your car.

Storms come and sometimes they come up with no warning, and there are storms in every life, then there are real storms (real storms)

Living in a place called tornado Alley you learn the difference between a common everyday type storm and a super cell storm.

An every day type storm may have a little wind and rain maybe some thunder and lightning maybe even some pea size hail.

But a super cell can produce softball size hail it can produce wins over 100 miles an hour it can spawn multiple tornadoes it’s always filled with deadly lightning.

A super cell is self-perpetuating, the longer it lasts the stronger it gets.

The Bible says: it was a great storm.

Great storm: (bad storm, super cell)

I believe I’m talking to someone right now who is in a storm, and it’s not your everyday storm, it’s not just a little wind and rain and pea sized hail, it’s a super cell it’s a bad one.

And judging by your circumstances it looks hopeless, (the doctor says it’s hopeless, the banker says it’s hopeless, the lawyer says it’s hopeless, the marriage counselor says it’s hopeless, your enemies say it’s hopeless, and even your friends are starting to agree.

But I came to tell you it’s never hopeless, as long as there is a God in heaven there is hope.

The Bible says: their boat was now filled with water

(the devil wants to drown you)

drown you in debt, and drown you with sickness, drown you in fear and despair, drown you in depression and confusion.

But I have a word from the Lord for you, (you are unsinkable)

Tell the devil: you can’t drown me, I’m unsinkable, everything around me may go down but you can’t drown me.

(Your word, your destiny makes you unsinkable)

the destiny in you is greater than the storm you’re in.

*What do you do when you’re in the middle of your storm?

You go back to your word

(your word will get you through)

tell your neighbor: I’ve got a word

tell your neighbor: I’m coming through on the word.

The disciples said: Peter get back in this boat, you can’t walk on water (have you lost your mind?) But Peter said I’ve got a word (Jesus said come) and if I got a word (I’m unsinkable)

I feel some unsinkable faith in this place, (The devil has been trying to push you down, and hold you under water) but your faith won’t let him keep you down.

Tell your neighbor: a word is all you need; it don’t take the whole book, not even a chapter, not even a whole sentence, just one word, one word from God is all you need.

A word will do for you what money can’t do

A word will do for you what education can’t do

A word will do for you what friends can’t do

A word will open doors that were closed in your face.

A word will cause things to turn in your favor.

A word will hold you up when everything else is falling down.

*Let us go over to the other side*

Before I ever got in the storm: I got a word

.

God is not a man that he should lie neither is he the son of man that he should repent, hath he said it, will he not do it hath he spoken it shall he not make it good? Nu 23:19

I got a word: but God never said there wouldn’t be any obstacles, he never said there wouldn’t be any problems, he never said there wouldn’t be things that rise up against me.

He never said there wouldn’t be attacks on my marriage. He never said sickness wouldn’t attack my body. He never said that I would never have to fight a financial battle. He never said your children would be the perfect angels. That they would never rebel or get on drugs or go to prison.

He never said people wouldn’t lie on you, and stab you in the back, and steal from you. He never said you’d never have a broken heart, or there wouldn’t be times when you’d cry yourself to sleep.

But what he said was let us go (let’s go) we’re together in this, you’re not alone

Over to the other side (Over) tell your neighbor you got to get over it.

If you’re going to get to the other side there are some things you have to get over. Somebody lied on you: get over it.

Somebody cheated on you: get over it.

Somebody abused you: mentally, emotionally, sexually, physically, and you hate them you’re holding unforgiveness in your heart towards that person or persons (you have to get over it).

Your destiny depends on it, to get to the other side you have to get over it.

Don’t let what somebody did to you or didn’t do stop your destiny, it’s not worth it, they’re not worth it.

No man or woman is worth your destiny.

No amount of money is worth your destiny.

Tell your neighbor: it’s time to get over it.

The Bible says the boat was now filled with water:

nothing from the outside can hurt you, in other words nothing from the outside can stop your destiny it’s what you let in that has the potential to drag you down. The boat was now filled with water.

I’m talking to somebody who has let bitterness and resentment and unforgiveness get into your boat, you let anger and jealousy and a critical spirit into your life.

And the only way to get to the other side is to get over it (get it out)

tell your neighbor: get it out (your life depends on it, your destiny depends on it).

Get it out before it kills you, get it out before it drags you down, get it out before it destroys your marriage, get it out before it kills your ministry, get it out before you say something or do something that you can’t undo.

I don’t know who I’m talking to but God said: you better get it out.

Verse 38 says: and he (Jesus) was in the hinder part of the ship asleep on a pillow.

How could Jesus be sleeping, be resting, be at peace, be calm, in the same storm the same circumstances that were causing the disciples to freak out?

The answer is: he believed the word he spoke, he believed the words that came out of his own mouth.

He had declared: we are going over to the other side, and he believed that the word he spoke was more powerful than anything he had to go through to get there.

He was sleeping on the word.

He was resting on the word.

He was counting on the word.

You have to learn how to rest on the word.

But you also need to know how to fight with the word.

1Timothy 1:18 according to the prophecies that went before on the, that thou abide them might just war a good warfare.

One of the most powerful weapons you have is your prophetic word.

That word doesn’t do you any good buried in a dresser drawer.

It doesn’t do you any good in a binder, with a 150 other prophecies.

You have to put that word in your mouth and declare it.

Ye shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto you. Job 22:28.

I need to tell somebody tonight that you need to quit sitting around waiting for some prophet to come by and give you a word.

I believe in prophecy and personal prophecy and I prophesy.

But God wants you to know that you are the prophet of your own destiny.

Just like Ezekiel and the Valley of dry bones, nothing changed until he started prophesying.

I can prophesy over you till I’m blue in the face but if you don’t stir up your faith and open your mouth and prophesy to your own dry bone conditions (nothing is going to change).

Tell your neighbor: wake up

you’ve got to wake up the prophet.

I’m trying to close now: but before I do the Lord said to tell you (you’ve got to make it) it’s critical that you make it.

There is somebody on the other side of your storm whose life depends on you making it over.

There is somebody who is bound and you are the one who is going to set them free.

Someone is sick, and you’re going to lay hands on them and bring healing to them.

Someone is suicidal and you’re the one who is going to speak the word in season and restore hope to them and drive the darkness out of their lives.

Somebody is going through the greatest storm of their lives and you’re going to share how you made it through (and they’re going to make it because you didn’t quit). I’ve got to make it, you’ve got to make it.

I’ve got to make it not just for myself but for my children, my grandchildren, my brothers and sisters that are following behind.

The Bible says that there were other boats (little boats that were with them).

Somebody is following you, somebody’s watching you, (you’ve got to make it).

For somebody who is still in enemy territory under Satanic captivity.

Somebody’s been praying and you’re the answer to their prayer.

Somebody’s waiting for you to show up and deliver them from their Devils.

You can’t go under, you can’t drown, you can’t quit, you can’t give up.

Somebody needs you.

When Jesus got to the other side: immediately he was met by a man possessed by devils (he needed them to make it this man needed Jesus to make it he needed the disciples to reach him) Jesus set him free.

You’ve got to make it; somebody’s life depends on it.

Somebody’s marriage depends on it.

Somebody’s ministry depends on it.

Somebody’s sanity depends on.

I know you’re going through hell but you’re going to make it, you’re in the middle of the worst storm of your life but you’re going to make it.

Everything you see and everything you feel and everything you hear is threatening to take you down but you’re going to make it.

And when you get to the other side your testimony is going to be a lifeline to somebody who feels it’s impossible, who feels their dream their vision their hope will never come to pass.

You’ve got to make it; somebody’s waiting on you.

Now I want you to take somebody by the hand and for the next few minutes I want you to prophesy to them and I want you to speak life to them, and I want you to tell them, you’re going to make it (you’ve got to make it) you can’t go down you can’t go under you’ve got to make it.

I won’t let you quit, I won’t let you give up, I won’t let go.

We’re in this together.

You’ve got to make it.
