Summary: It is the desire of God to grant release and relief to His people. However, God's people must play their part in the divine principle for God to move His hands or send help. Man y believers expect God to do His part without the man's part - this will not

DIVINE RELEASE

Text::Mk.11:2-3, Isa.49:25

Introduction

An Illustration: Around 8pm in the evening, a Sister was driving home after a Bible study. She got to a check point where police were checking, and was waved to stop. The officer came to her and asked her to come down and open the boot of her car. As she was about to come down, the officer touched her, and that was the last she could remembered as she found herself in a far away bush in Ekiti Sate.

In the bush were other people that must have been kidnapped the same way or in a manner similar to the way she was transported to this location. There, they were made to line up, and was passed through some rituals and so called cleansing before presentation to the priest for sacrifice. During this time she had realised that she was kidnapped, and all she could do was to pray silently in tongues. There were at least some other brethren in the crowd who also were praying in tongues. When it came to her turn for presentation, the priest was taken aback and asked; “where did you get this type of meat?” she was asked to step aside for awhile.

In her presence, many of the other captured people were brutally slaughtered and their blood and other body parts extracted into a bowl probably for further usage in their wicked and demonic rituals. After 2 days the priest asked his people to return 4 of the brethren to where they took them. They were led into a long journey into the bush for days, before they were left by their captors to find their way to the main road. It was at the main road that they discovered that they were in Ekiti State. This was almost 2 weeks after they had been kidnapped. This is a divine release orchestrated from above as no man could have accomplished such a deliverance from the jugular of the devil incarnate priest in the thick forest who is perpetrating evil in the name of wealth.

Brethren, this is definitely your season of divine release. The Lord is granting total freedom from every entanglement created or planned for you by the devil as you listen to this message in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

WHAT IS DIVINE RELEASE?

Let’s first of all examine the word “Release”. According to dictionary.com, Release means:

a) To free from confinement, bondage, obligation, pain, etc.; let go: to release a prisoner; to release someone from a debt.

b) To free from anything that restrains, fastens, etc.: to release a catapult.

c) To allow to be known, issued, done, or exhibited: to release an article for publication.

d) In Law, it is to give up, relinquish, or surrender (a right, claim, etc.).

e) Some Synonyms are: ‘loose, deliver, free, dismiss, discharge, liberate, emancipate’ may all mean to set at liberty, let loose, or let go.

When God releases a man, it is like granting amnesty to the individual. What is Amnesty? From online world dictionary, Amnesty means:

a) A general pardon for offenses, especially political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.

b) In Law, it is an act of forgiveness for past offenses, especially to a class of persons as a whole.

c) A forgetting or overlooking of any past offense.

WHAT DIVINE RELEASE ENTAILS

Now, we will examine what constitute divine release based on the experiences of patriarchs in the scriptures:

a. Release from problems, imprisonment, sufferings and the like.

In the book of Jeremiah 52: 31-34, king Jehoaichim was released from prison by king Nebuchadnezzar and was set on high. Also Joseph and Peter in Acts 12. Furthermore, in the book of Exodus, the Lord decided to grant a divine amnesty to the children of Israel.

b. Release of provision –

In the book of Exodus, God sent manna and meat to the children of Israel in the wilderness for almost 40 years of their sojourn.

c. Release of Help:

King Uzziah in II Chron.32:1-16 received marvelous help from God, and he prospered and did great things.

d. Release of power:

In the book of Acts, power was released upon the 120 disciples and the Apostles; and they performed great signs and wonders for all to see. For example, when Peter and John went for prayers, the power of God came upon the man at the beautiful gate, and he received his healings and walked in to the temple to join others for prayers.

e. Release of Blessings:

Solomon was a man that God released His blessings upon in great measure. He was the richest man in his days, he had peace and security in his domain, people gave many precious gifts to him because God has open and effectual door unto him. What did he do to make heaven to release such a huge blessing upon an individual? He was a worshipper and a true giver. If you will worship God in truth and in spirit, and decide to offer your first and your best to God Him, He will surely release great quantum of heavenly blessing upon you. Pray like this: Father, I receive the spirit of worship and the grace of giving in the name of Jesus.

WHEN THERE IS DIVINE RELEASE…..

Whenever there’s divine release, some things had been found to be present that probably initiate the release: Some of them are:

a. Remembrance:

When God remembers, He sets forth the machineries to commence a release to an individual or a group and even nations. He remembered the covenant He had with Abraham, and sent a rescue mission led by Moses to release His people from the incarceration of Pharaoh of Egypt. May the Lord remember you for good in Jesus name.

b. A cry for Help:

Usually, it those in agonies or suffering that cries out for help. For example when armed robbers were attacking a neighbour, they cried out to others for help. When the suffering of the children of Israel in Egypt became unbearable, they cried unto God, and He heard them and sent help down. A king Asa was surrounded by about 3 kings in a war, he cried for help and God sent help. May you receive help today in Jesus name.

c. Favour or Kindness:

When favour or kindness is pursuing a man, it will arouse heaven to send host to release you. In IISam.9:1-13, there was a favour that was arouse due to the covenant between David and Jonathan. The son of Jonathan, Mephiboseth became a beneficiary of what he didn’t know about. He was released from Lodebar and brought to Jerusalem where he lived a good life till he died. There is a favour with your name on it, it will not rest until you meet in Jesus name.

STEPS TO YOUR DIVINE RELEASE

God is a God of order. He does not do things arbitrarily. He is a methodical God, and wish that His children also be like Him in thought and deeds. There are some key steps that everyone who desire divine release ought to know so that it will work for them. They are:

a. There must be a desire:

It is what you desire that you eventually acquire. What you think of is what you will become. If you are thinking of freedom, it will eventually come if you didn’t give up. Your thoughts will possess you, and what possesses you is what you develop passion for. What you have passion for is what you pursue, and what you pursue is what you receive at the end of the day.

b. You must be tired of your present situation:

Don’t let your present incarceration befuddle your thought and your life. You must rise above the frustration these problems have caused you. Your been fed-up with your lack of freedom will energise you to become creative to get things done in a better way. It is when we are pushed to the wall that some of us come up with great ideas that shape the world. Never be contented or satisfied with where you are, have great dream and ambition to be better than this tomorrow and you will surely get there.

c. There must be a cry for intervention:

A cry is basically asking for help in situation that are too big for us to bear or carry. A cry is a call to a life of prayer. How fervent are you in the place of prayer? In the book of Judges, we see the way and manner that divine release came for the children of Israel. Whenever they are in bondage of the oppressor, they will cry to the Lord, and He in turn will send a delivered to release them from the hand of the oppressors. He did these many times as soon as they cried unto Him. Have you cry to God today. Has God heard your voice today? If a child can cry to his natural father for help, and the father cannot but respond, so also we who are God’s children when we cry to our father in heaven, He will definitely respond.

d. Always do good to people around you:

Many of us are growing thick skin in doing good to people around us. This might not be unconnected with the evil that is rampant these days, however, we are instructed as dear children, not to be weary in well doing, for in due season, if we tarry not, the harvest shall come. Let’s learn to be good to people we meet on daily basis, render help whenever and wherever, for you don’t know whether you are ministering to angels. Jesus demanded this of us as He gave the directives in Matt.25:31-46 that as you do these to my people. You are also doing it to me.

e. Live a holy life:

A life of holiness is an attraction for God to divinely release help, provision, blessing and support to us at any time they are required. Holiness is a magnet to cause God to do many impossible things for the holy. In the front of holy people are open doors through which every blessing are other needs comes in unhindered. Such people are in the presence of God, so they can’t live a life of impossibility. Whatever they lay hands upon prospers, whosoever they associate with are blesses, and wherever they go, they become a light and reference point for others to emulate and follow. Holy living pay dividend now and in future.

THOSE WHO CANNOT BENEFIT FROM DIVINE RELEASE

In as much as God is willing to divinely release us, He won’t do it haphazardly. He has people that He will extend such a priviledge to as may be required. They are:

a. The unrepentant:

b. The rebels:

c. The Troublesome:

d. The Wicked:

e. The Unforgiving:

f. The Proud:

g. The Scorners:

Are you one of the above? Then you need to repent to receive divine release.

CONCLUSION:

God will only release those who are His and not those who are against Him. It is those who are His that He will release things into their hands such as power, blessings, provision etc. So don’t expect divine release if you are not on the Lord’s side because divine release is the dividend that God pays on our dependence on Him. The devil is not willing to release you, but it is the will of God that you are free. But if you are doing evil, then you are not ready for God to move on your behalf. If you will open the door of your heart right now to Him, He will come in and do you good. Shall we pray?
