Summary: Jesus is showing us the path of life, and He wants us to see Him while we are on this journey. Just like Moses had to turn when he saw the burning bush, God wants us to see and turn from the direction we are going and to follow Him.

Did You See Jesus Walking?

Psalm 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I am entitling this today: “Did you see Jesus walking?”

In Psalm 16:1 we see where David is asking God to preserve him; He is letting God know that is where his trust is.

David had an understanding of who God was and he was going to trust Him.

David was being led down a path that was taking him somewhere.

We are all going down a road this morning and that road is taking us somewhere.

Look at your neighbor and say, “My road is taking me somewhere”.

Many people look to other things besides God, and that will never lead them down the right road.

David had a Godly heritage, and because he was willing to listen to their counsel, God had him on the move.

Psalm 16:7

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

Christ by dwelling in a human body “learned obedience”

Hebrews 5:8

8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Jesus did not have to learn to be obedient, because that would imply that He was a sinner by nature, but He learned obedience which is a whole other thing.

In other words, he had to go through it, this life.

David had knowledge that God could and would instruct him during the night season.

Job 33:14-18

14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

18 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

David knew that God was a God who would give him counsel, and was able to instruct him in the night seasons.

According to verse eight, David had set the Lord always before him and he was not going to be moved.

If we, as believers, always set the Lord first then we will not be moved.

Are we setting the Lord first in our lives?

Is Jesus at your right hand?

Do you know that God is your answer and you will not go under?

Psalm 16:10

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

This verse pertained to Paradise which is where the believer would go before Jesus came and died upon the Cross.

When Jesus died, He went to Hell and He took the keys of death from Satan.

When it says: neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Christ saw no corruption in the grave simply because He atoned for all sin; therefore there was not any doubt that He was raised from the dead.

Psalm 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

The path of light is the Resurrection.

Christ would be elevated to the very Throne of God.

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Psalm 16:11 says: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

At thy right hand, there are pleasures forevermore.

Hebrews 7:26-27

26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

Jesus is making intercession for you this morning.

I have entitled this today; “Did you see Jesus walking?”

3-31-11

I dreamed that Susan and I were pulling out from a driveway onto the road. I saw Jesus walking; I asked Susan, “Did you see Jesus walking?” She said “Yes”. We were going to turn the vehicle around.

Interpretation

Psalm 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Jesus is showing us the path of life, and He wants us to see Him while we are on this journey.

Just like Moses had to turn when he saw the burning bush, God wants us to see and turn from the direction we are going and to follow Him.

Do we see Jesus and do we recognize Him when we do?

Whenever Jesus does something that goes beyond our understanding, do we have a hard time recognizing Him?

Mathew 14:22-33

22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. {boisterous: or, strong}

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Jesus was telling the Disciples that He would meet them on the other side.

The disciples saw something that did not make sense in their reasoning.

Jesus had sent them into a tough situation, and now comes walking on the sea to set them free.

Look at verse 26.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

They did not recognize who Jesus was even when He was in their situation.

Mathew 14:28

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

“My sheep know my voice and none other will they follow.”

Peter knew the voice of the Master.

Mathew 14:29

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Peter saw Jesus walking, listened to His voice and followed.

We see where Peter walked on water and then we see where he started to think about what he was doing and started to doubt and started to sink.

Mathew 14:31

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Have we seen Jesus walking in our situations?

Some of us have and still don’t realize that He is there.

Sometimes we have to go through the storm of life and sometimes God might send us.

What I do know is that no harm will come to the believer.

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

We need to be like David and ask the Lord to preserve us.

We need to show God that we trust Him.

Psalm 16:7

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

3-25-11

I dreamed that four of us had gone mushroom hunting. I was finding mushrooms that another individual had overlooked. I remember walking over the hills and through the valley. We got to the car and I counted the mushrooms, there were eight.

3-25-11

I dreamed that we were at World Harvest. The church was totally packed. Benny Hinn was there and the Spirit of God was moving. The service was now over and the people were leaving. Rod Parsley walked up to me and checked out my suit jacket, he was checking the size. He told me that he had a bunch of jackets at his house. His house and church were somehow connected. He took a cart of some kind and went to get them.

Scene change

I was talking to Rod Parsley afterwards and wondering when he was going to give me my jackets. He turned, looked at me, and said, “In God’s time brother, in God’s time.” I was still wondering when he was going to get the jackets, and again he said “in God’s time”.

Are we finding mushrooms others are overlooking?

Four my number, eight means a new beginning.

I’m not sure what all of this means, but what I do know is that God is going to bring into our church some that others might have overlooked.

In God’s time church!

Did you see Jesus walking?

Maybe this morning you need to see Him in your situation, you might not have a dream of Jesus, but if you open up the Bible you will see Him.

Maybe this morning you feel like a mushroom that others have overlooked?

If so come up around these altars, God has put you here for right now.

This is your season to flourish!

Ec 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Es 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
