The other day I was channel surfing when I came across a T.V documentary, on the history channel that I found very interesting. The documentary was presented as study, and it dealt about creation and the advances that man has made. Upon doing research I found that the concepts presented in this documentary were not something completely new, but they sure were new to me, as I had never heard of the things that they mentioned. Evidently there are a group of intellectuals who deny the theory of the evolution. So the theory of evolution as accepted by many intellectuals and scientists in the world is being challenged. What theory challenges the evolution theory that was introduced by Charles Darwin in 1859?[1]. The theory that challenges the evolution theory is that man is a hybrid being[2].
According to these people, man is a hybrid of the monkey and extraterrestrials, and this DNA graft is what has produced today’s man. These people explain that the hybrid theory explains the advances of man in such a short period of time. In other words, this theory explains how man went from being caveman to being pyramid builders, and all of the other advances in a short period of time.
Furthermore, according to these people the extraterrestrial beings continue visiting the planet, influencing the destiny of the humanity. And they cautioned that humanity should not accept these extraterrestrial beings as being exclusively benign. They explained that the war between the angels[3], that is to say, when Satan was cast out of heaven, was actually a battle between two factions of extraterrestrial beings. One faction was good and benign (those that represent God) and the other was evil (those that represent Satan). And the prettiest thing about all of this is that at times, they attempted to justify their beliefs and theories mentioning passages from the Bible, which supposedly proved what they were saying. Needless to say that they never referred to the Bible as the Word of God, that is to say something divine, but rather referred to it as a book of historical events. Where am I going with all of this?
What we are seeing take place is that the devil is trying to eliminate God from the equation. In other words, the devil is trying to convince humanity that neither he nor God exist. Satan wants humanity to believe that man was not created by God according to His image, but rather that man is a deliberate creation by a race of scientifically advanced extraterrestrial beings; unfortunately a good portion of humanity is being convinced (70% of American people believe that we are visited by aliens). But now we must ask: why is this happening? To answer our question, let’s now turn to the Word of God.
2 Timothy 4:1-4 - In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
The apostle Paul wrote this letter to Timothy to charge him with a great mission; the apostle Paul gave Timothy the mission of preaching the Gospel at all times. Although this letter was directed to Timothy at that time, it continues to speak to us today with the same metal. I say this because by just meditating a little on what we’ve finished reading, it’s not difficult to discern that in this small portion of the scriptures we find a good reflection of what we are seeing occur nowadays. In other words, we are seeing how man is willing to accept anything except the Word of God. Why has this happened?
The main reason as to why this has happened, and is happening today is because many have taken their eyes off from God. This is why through history, we find men whom have professed to be believers; men like Benjamin Franklin[4]; Thomas Jefferson[5] and John Adams[6]; have said things like: “Lighthouses are more useful than churches” - Benjamin Franklin. “This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it” – John Adams. “Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man” – Thomas Jefferson. As if all of this was not enough, Jefferson also edited the Bible eliminating from it all of Jesus’ miracles, and all statements that professed His divinity. This book is known as: The Jefferson Bible, or The Faith and Moral Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
What am I trying to say with all of this? What I’m saying is that the devil has inspired man to change God’s truth for fables. I say this because through history, and at present time, there has existed, and continue to exist, numerous people that have read and studied the Bible, but that have manipulated it to justify their actions. Through time numerous people have modified the true gospel, they have changed the true value of our King and Savior’s lessons, which completely rest upon Christ’s supremacy, for a modernist gospel, a gospel that doesn’t rest in God, a gospel that rests upon man and his supposed wisdom and understanding, and the theories of evolution and of hybrid beings are prime examples of this.
The reality is that if we allow ourselves to be influenced by these demon inspired theories, then the creator no longer exists; salvation no longer exists. Our salvation no longer depends on God, it depends on man, or like I said earlier, it depends on extraterrestrials whom will guide humanity to live peacefully. But as God’s people, we must stand and say NO! We must stand and defend God’s Kingdom; we must stand and rebuke these theories and doctrines with the authority that God has given us. What authority has God given us? The answer to this question is made clear in Mark 16:17 when we read: “…And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues…” We must declare that man’s future doesn’t depend on extraterrestrials, our future depends on God. This is something that is well reflected in Lucas 18:29-30 where the Lord tells us: “…no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life…”
Something that helps the devil convince humanity that he doesn’t exist is that through time, man has deified himself. In other words, the scientific, mathematical, and literal advances have influenced man to reject the notion that God exists. And this is something that has occurred because man has failed to realize, or refuses to acknowledge that all of these advances and wisdom come from God. Look at how this is something that is well reflected in Ecclesiastes 2:26 when we read: “…To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind…” Now let’s ask ourselves: why does the devil want to convince man that he and God don’t exist? To answer this question, let’s ask ourselves another one.
Let me ask: how many of you have seen how skyscrapers are demolished? I’m sure that the majority of us, if not all, have at one point or another seen the documentaries of how they demolish old buildings. All of us have see that this task is never done from the top floor, this task is always done by carefully planting explosives at the base of the building and then detonating it, and once the base of the building explodes, the entire building comes crashing down in place. This is exactly the same thing that the enemy is attempting to do with all of this that we see and hear. The devil is trying to destroy the base; he is trying to destroy our faith. Our enemy knows that he can’t defeat God. This is something that is clearly declared in Philippians 2:9-11 when we read: “…Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father…”
The devil knows that with all of his cunning, wisdom, and power, he can’t demolish heaven, but he can try to tear down our faith, which is similar to a skyscraper. Similar in the sense that it begins here on earth and extends to the heavens. This is why we need to ensure that our faith is built on a solid foundation. We must ensure that our faith is built on the rock that is Jesus Christ. Our faith must be immovable, constant and victorious. In other words know that: “…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us...” (Romans 8:37).
Why does the devil have so much interest in convincing mankind that he doesn’t exist? The answer to this question is easy. If the devil can to convince mankind that neither he nor God exist, then there will be nothing to stop man from acting in complete opposition to what the Word of God teaches and reveals to us. In other words, there will be nothing to stop man from doing what is an abomination to God. And unfortunately this is something that the devil is doing quite effectively; I believe that the violence, immorality, sexual perversion, and the arrogant disregard of normal restraints that we see in the world are proof of this.
This is why we can’t allow ourselves to be influenced by the evil tide that runs through this world; we have to declare God’s truth. What is God’s truth? God’s truth is that Jesus ascended to heaven and is sitting at the right hand of the Father. This is something that we find clearly stated in Matthew 26:64 when we read: “…You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven…” And also in Mark 16:19 where we find that we are told: “…After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God…”
We have to declare that Jesus ascended to heaven to prepare a place for all those who believe in Him. It’s like we find in John 14:2-3 when we read: “…My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am…”
We have to declare that there is an almighty and just God, and that one day every human being will be judged by Him. This is something that is clearly stated in Revelations 20:11-12 when we read: “…Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books…”
In conclusion; over time, man has allowed his thinking to be influenced by many things. Among them are Greek philosophy and myths, which tried to explain the origins of the world. Roman philosophy, which sought to achieve peace through military power. In the middle ages it was the Catholic Church, who taught and still teaches that by works and through saints one can reach God’s favor and salvation. And in our own time, we can say with some certainty that science dominates a large portion of our culture.
Science has said that the universe and the world were created by an explosion (Big Bang Theory); science says that man is a descendant from the apes, or as it is best understood a product of evolution. However, both of these theories can be ruled out by someone with a little intelligence, as some scientists have stated that it’s impossible for things to have occurred by mere chance or randomly, including Darwin[7]. Now in our time, this new theory arises; the theory that we were not created by God, but that we are a hybrid product created by extraterrestrials.
As God’s children and as Christ’s church here on earth, we must allow our voices to be heard. God and only God is the creator of the heavens and the earth: “…In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…” (Genesis 1:1).
God and only God is the creator of man, and He created us as we are: “…Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them…” (Genesis 1:26-27).
God and only God has the power to make things better; however, there is something that we must do: “…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place…” (2 Chronicles 7:14-15).
The doctrines by the seducing spirits have people completely deceived; don’t allow yourself to be deceived. Seek Him and He shall answer: “…Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me…” (Revelations 3:20).
