Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures
Mark 2: 1-5
1) After a few days, Jesus returned to Capernaum, and word got around that he was back home. 2) A crowd gathered, jamming the entrance so no one could get in or out. He was teaching the Word. 3) They brought a paraplegic to him, carried by four men. 4) When they weren’t able to get in because of the crowd, they removed part of the roof and lowered the paraplegic on his stretcher. 5) Impressed by their bold belief, Jesus said to the paraplegic, "Son, I forgive your sins."
Vs. 1 - We are losing 1) Time 2) Speed 3) Opportunity When Jesus returns back home we must be in the appropriate posture to receive.
Word Got Out – It was In the hearing of the people. = Ear = Reproductive Organ of the Spirit.
Romans 10:17- Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Vs. 2 – In this season God is trying to set you up to release in your spirit a breakthrough blessing so unexpected that you cannot afford to throw in the towel because there does not seem to be a point of access to Jesus for you to get what you need from him.
Vs. 3 – There were four faithful that brought the man sick of the palsy – the people you hang with need to be people who’s faith allows them to become creative in there approach of helping when you feel you’re in a paralytic state, they need to help you to get from one dimension to another dimension. People that hold a ladder larger than the norm are people who have the capability to create an abnormal opportunity.
Four: 4 - Deals with God’s creative works or Earth Creation (material completeness).
Normal People – 5 foot Ladder
Abnormal People – 20 foot Ladder
Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Vs. 4 – Abnormal access creates a phenomenon (occurrence) of divine access.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Taking off the roof was not a break in – It was a breakthrough where the power of wealth was going to be connected to you. You can never reconnect to the power of wealth if you stay connected to the power of debt.
