With respect to their existence and nature, we find the Scriptures presenting the same progress and development as with many other subjects of revelation. Thus it is that the doctrine of angels becomes more distinct in the later periods of Jewish history and is more full and significant in the NT writings. Angels appear most frequently and conspicuously in connection with the coming and ministry of our Lord. His words concerning the angels are of unmistakable meaning and value. According to His teaching they are personal, sinless, immortal beings, existing in great number, and in close relation not only with individual men but also with the history of God's kingdom

ANGEL
There is harmony between the teachings of our Lord upon this subject and those of the apostles and other Scripture writers. Many questions that may be raised can receive no answer whatever from the Scriptures. Of the history of the angels we can know but little. It is clear that Satan and the fallen angels (demons) were created sinless and later fell
Aside from the teachings of Scripture there is nothing irrational, but quite the opposite, in believing in the existence of creatures superior to man in intelligence, as there are many inferior. But we depend wholly upon the Scriptures for our knowledge. The denial of the existence of angels, as that of a personal devil and demons, springs from the materialistic, unbelieving spirit, which in its most terrible form denies the existence of God.
The revelations of Scripture concerning angels are few, but nevertheless have great value:
1. They furnish a necessary safeguard against narrowness of thought as to the extent and variety of the creations of God.
2. They help us in acquiring the proper conception of Christ, who is above the angels, and the object of angelic worship.
3. They give a wonderful attractiveness to our conception of that unseen world to which we are hastening.
4. They set before us an example of joyous and perfect fulfillment of God's will. "Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven," i.e., by the angels.
5. They put to shame the horrible indifference of multitudes of mankind with respect to the great work of conversion. "There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents"
6. They broaden our view of the manifold mercies of God, whose angels are "sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation" (
7. They remind us of our high rank as human beings, and our exalted destiny as Christians. We, who are made but "a little lower than the angels" (KJV,

2. The Angelic Host: The phrase "the host of heaven" is applied to the stars, which were sometimes worshipped by idolatrous Jews

Guardian-Angel-Story
I think everyone really believes in or wants to believe in guardian angels. I have a guardian-angel-story (just one) but I believe some people have more guardian angel stories and experiences than others but the one thing we all have in common is that extraordinary feeling when you know your angel has helped and protected you in your time of need.
Traffic Angels
The term "traffic angels" refers to the numerous accounts of motorists who are mysteriously helped by guardian angels. Such inexplicable manifestations include impressions that tell a driver to stop or change lanes, help for a stranded motorist that comes out of nowhere, vehicles physically moved out of harm's way, and vehicles that avoid crashes.
Second Guardian-Angel-Story, In 1980, an elderly widow was driving when a large car towing a boat suddenly darted into her path. She froze in fear and saw her car heading toward a seemingly unavoidable collision. At that point, something or someone, materialized in the car, steered the vehicle into a ditch and then disappeared.
My Personal Guardian Angel Story
My experience happened when I was driving in a fairly heavy traffic area. It was pouring down rain and I was probably driving to fast for road conditions. Suddenly I was hydroplaning. My car kept making circles, jumped a curb, back into traffic and over the curb again. My car (twice) went between a road sign, a tree and a telephone pole. I hit the curb so hard that my tie rods were broken. I was not hurt and did not hit another car. I know for a fact that if my angel had not been riding with me that day, I would have hurt someone or I would be dead.
Have You Had A Near Death Experience?
CBN.com – It was December 14, 1994. Travis and Judy Wallace were traveling to Waco, Texas, from Dallas to celebrate Christmas with their daughter’s family. At one point Travis let Judy drive while he lay down behind the passenger seat to rest. Sometime later, Travis woke up and offered to drive. Judy said she was fine and Travis lay down again – this time behind the driver’s seat. Just seconds later, there was a deafening explosion.
The Wallaces never saw it coming. A tow truck traveling in the opposite direction was pulling a van. Somehow the axle of the van, with a tire still attached, broke loose. It flew in the air across the median and smashed into the windshield of the Wallaces car. The impact was so intense that the axle completely peeled back the roof off the car.
Officer Drew Roberts of the Dallas Police Department was behind the Wallaces and saw the collision. His expertise is investigating traffic accidents.
"It looked like dynamite went off in the car because the car literally exploded, and by exploded, I mean parts and pieces of the car went flying very high into the air," says Roberts.
Surprisingly, the car stayed in control and slowed to a stop. Experience told Officer Roberts what he would find.
"The massive damage done by this tire and axle, there was just no doubt in my mind that someone was just dead actually, or I expected to see a fatality and I expected to see the driver killed. I didn’t even see the passenger, but I expected the driver was dead," he says.
But to his amazement, he found two very dazed, but very alive people.
"The sound from that was unbelievable," recalls Travis Wallace. "It sounded like a '75 Howitzer. The amazing thing I couldn’t understand was where was the top of the car? I was dumfounded. All of a sudden -- it was a rainy day -- it was raining on us. I had no earthly idea what had happened to us."
His wife, Judy, had blacked out momentarily. When she came to, she managed to steer the car off the road. Broken glass covered her face and body.
"I awoke in all this wreckage and thought, What happened? Why is our car wrecked like this?" Judy Wallace explains. "The first thing that came to me was something terrible had happened and we were alive. I was saying, 'Thank You, Lord. Thank You' because I realized we were all right."
Not only were they alive, but they also walked away from the crash with only minor cuts and bruises. By all accounts Travis and Judy’s story is nothing short of a miracle. For instance, if Travis was driving as usual, Judy would have been in the passenger seat.
"If I had been sitting there, I would be dead because when I sit in the passenger seat, I lean the seat back and take a little nap," Judy says.
Seconds before the axle struck the car, Travis moved to the other side of the back seat.
"It was such a miracle. He had just been sitting there and saying, 'I’ll take over.' Why did he change sides and lie down and put his head behind the driver’s seat? That just saved him. If he had had his head behind the passenger seat, he would be dead," Judy says, emotional at the thought of what could have happened.
Even a seasoned police officer found it difficult to explain how the Wallaces survived such an impact.
Says Officer Roberts, "I have a hard time explaining it. I was showing the pictures to some of the other officers a minute ago, and they said, 'How can anyone live through this, no one seriously injured, no one killed?' In my personal opinion, I really believe it was a miracle."

In the Bible death is viewed under form of an angel sent from God, a being deprived of all voluntary power.
The "angel of the Lord" smites 185,000 men in the Assyrian camp (II Kings xix. 35).
"The destroyer" ("ha-mashḥit") kills the first-born of the Egyptians (Ex. xii. 23), and the "destroying angel" ("mal'ak ha-mashḥit") rages among the people in Jerusalem (II Sam. xxiv. 15).
In I Chron. xxi. 15 the "angel of the Lord" is seen by David standing "between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem."
Job (xxxiii. 22) uses the general term "destroyer" ("memitim"), which tradition has identified with "destroying angels" ("mal'ake ḥabbalah") (Bacher, "Ag. Pal.
Amor." iii. 279, note 9), and Prov. xvi. 14 uses the term the "angels of death" ("mal'ake ha-mawet").

DEATH ANGEL
"I have had several episodes. However, most recently I experienced Him...last year. I am a nurse at a large hospital in Salem, MA. One of my patients called me to her bedside to tell me she was feeling "not quite right", and that she felt as if she was going to die. Up until that point the woman was in good health and was only admitted for diagnostic exams. Slowly, the woman began to loose consciousness and, in fact, started to die! All the time I was doing everything possible to regain her. I had called in several people for help, and soon the room was filled with nurses and doctors. I stood back from her bed by the doorway, giving the doctor a report of what transpired. I saw out of the corner of my eye the other people in the room. But, standing at the foot of (her) bed was someone dressed in black. I really didn't pay much attention to him because I was concentrating more on the patient. The person dressed in black walked away from her bedside and started to leave the room, and as I was standing in the doorway, I had to move for him to get out……..I did so saying, "Oh, excuse me." I felt a huge breeze as he brushed by me. I turned to the person next to me and asked who that was who just left? This person said, "No one just left." I gave a description of the person, but they still insisted that nobody just went out of the room. Just at that moment, the patient rapidly regained consciousness. It was at that point I realized who that person was all dressed in black."

"My encounter with Death wasn't directed at me. I was merely a bystander, who, for whatever reason, was allowed to watch Death "take a soul". I live on the 8th floor of a large apartment complex, and my living room window aligns exactly with my neighbor's bedroom window. Our windows are about 8 feet apart and across from one another. Last summer, late one evening, it was a particularly quiet night suddenly made even more silent. I was reading on my sofa directly under the window, when all of a sudden the usual "night-sounds", i.e., crickets, birds, even traffic just stopped. With my back to the window, I started to hear the sound of a low heart-beat, and then a strong wind rushed down between our two buildings. The sound of the wind was distinctly like huge, flapping wings and the wind grew so strong that it blew in the window and knocked over my lamp. I got up, peered out the window and the air smelled like wet earth and dying flowers. On my neighbor's window ledge was the most amazing dark shadow, crouching and looking in his window! I watched as it "floated" into my neighbor's opened window. The heart-beat sound was now pounding in my head to the point of giving me a headache. Inside my neighbor's room, all I could see was a flash of blue light, very low and subdued...and the sound of the heart-beat stopped. I felt suddenly strange, lightheaded, like all of the oxygen was taken out of the air. I fell back onto the sofa, and again the scented wind whooshed into my window and was gone as quick as it came. The night-sounds started up again immediately! The next thing I heard was my neighbor's family scrambling and turning on lights, so I yelled out the window if everything was all right. I was informed that their father was dead, so I rushed over to see if I could help in some way. When I arrived in his room, I felt faint again and started to tell his sister some of what I saw and felt. She, too, felt and heard similar things but saw nothing. As time went on and I got to talk to the whole family, no one else heard or saw anything but us.

I KNOW OF STORIES TOLD BY PEOPLE WHO WERE BYSTANDERS WHO SAW THE REACTION OF OTHERS TO DEATH AND THE DEATH ANGEL.
ONE WAS A PERSON IN THE HOSPITAL AND A NURSE WHO WAS ASSIGNED TO THIS PERSON WITNESSED THIS…
SHE WAS ATTENDANT THIS PERSON AND GOING AND COMING INTO THE ROOM WHEN SHE LEFT THE ROOM THEN RETURNED WHEN SHE HEARD A SCREAM, WHEN SHE GOT TO THE BED OF THIS PATIENT SHE SAW HIM OUT OF THE BED AND CROUCHED IN A CORNER BY HIS BED WITH THE MOST HORRIFIED EXPRESSION ON HIS FACE AND SCREAMING “PLEASE DON’T LET HIM TAKE ME” HE DIED SOON THEREAFTER.
