EMPOWERED TO SUCCEED
Gen 49:1-28; Prov. 10:22

Most men if not all desire to succeed and excel in life, business, marriage, career, ministry as well as every facet of life yet only a few understand the unseen force that compels and propels any man to succeed in any field or place. One major thing that propels one to succeed irrespective of age, status, tribe, background or academic qualification is THE BLESSING OF GOD. The blessing of God is the empowerment, ability and authorization to succeed, be productive and fruitful as opposed to a curse which empowers to fail, irrespective of how much labour and resources invested. Solomon affirmed in Proverbs 10vs 22 that it is the blessing of the Lord that maketh rich and adds no sorrow with it. Without God’s blessing, our diligence and hardwork will result in hard life. When the labour of man lacks the the blessing of God, it remains unproductive, unprogressive and unprofitable. It is the blessing of God that makes a difference in our lives.
Jesus demonstrated in Matthew 14 vs 13-16 how as little as 5 loaves and 2 fishes with God’s blessing on it will achieve much. It is therefore not a matter of how much or how many we have at hand, but whether God has blessed it or not. Psalm 1:1-3 tells us whatever a blessed man does will prosper. The reverse is the case for a cursed man like Reuben (Genesis 49:1-4) who never excelled or succeeds in whatever task or assignment being given.
This brings us to the fact that the same way curses can be attracted, like Reuben did through his action, the blessing of God can also be attracted. We will mention a few:
1. Through Obedience to God, His word & constituted authorities- Gen 22:18, Job 36:11, Josh 1:8
2. The Pronouncement of a Father (Biological or Spiritual)- Genesis 27:27-41; 28:1-4, Deut 34:9
Never despise the prayers and blessing of fathers (and I dear say mothers also), because they hold the key to doing well in life.
3. Sacrificial Giving- Genesis 22:15-20, Gen 27:1-3,27
Sacrifices are the gateway to the unleashing of fatherly blessings over your life. Be committed to giving to your biological and spiritual fathers and mothers and you will attract their blessings and the blessings of God.
4. Tithes and offerings- Malachi 3:8-12, Luke 6:38
Committed tithers are undeniably blessed of God as against non-tithers who operate under a curse. Be faithful and consistent and you will enjoy God’s blessing upon your life.
5. Praises- Psalm 67:4-6
Every time you praise and exalt the name of the Lord, especially for His goodness in your life, you attract the empowerment to succeed in life.
In conclusion, I declare over you as you read: the Lord bless thee and keep thee. The Lord make His face to shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Amen
