Romans 13:14 But be like the Lord Jesus Christ, so that when people see what you do, they will see Christ. Don't think about how to satisfy the desires of your sinful self.

I. Be Like the Lord Jesus Christ

II. People Will See Christ Not You

III. Don't Satisfy The Sinful Self

In everything we are created to be like God, we are all created in His Image, but sadly we have disobeyed Him by eating the fruit of the tree that He withold from us so we therefore became sinners, we died in our disobedience. Our solution, to this problem is accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Master, Lord and Savior, believed that the Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and died on the cross to save us from our sins, He died so that we can live, and after three days,He arose again from the third day, He ascended into Heaven and now sitted at the right hand of God.

I. Be Like the Lord Jesus Christ

Be like our Lord Jesus Christ, no servant can be better than his Master, no student can be better than his Teacher, it might be we can only be like Him. If He was persecuted, when He walked this earth, we will also be persecuted.

Galatians 3:27 You were baptized into union with Christ, and now you are clothed, so to speak, with the life of Christ himself.

Ephesians 4:24 and you must put on the new self, which is created in God's likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and holy.

Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new self. This is the new being which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in his own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge of himself.

Colossians 3:11 As a result, there is no longer any distinction between Gentiles and Jews, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarians, savages, slaves, and free, but Christ is all, Christ is in all.

Colossians 3:12 You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

II. People Will See Christ Not You

We are in Christ, when God the Father, sees us, He sees Jesus in us, not our sinful selves. It's His Grace, that made this, and we never did anything right or wrong to deserve this.

Romans 8:12 So then, my friends, we have an obligation, but it is not to live as our human nature wants us to.

Romans 8:13 For if you live according to your human nature, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death your sinful actions, you will live.

Galatians 5:16 What I say is this: let the Spirit direct your lives, and you will not satisfy the desires of the human nature.

Galatians 5:17 For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to what our human nature wants. These two are enemies, and this means that you cannot do what you want to do.

III. Don't Satisfy The Sinful Self

if you starve it, it will die. You need to put it to death. Don't feed it. If the problem is lust of the eyes, quit looking at it. God will help us overcome it, once we do our part.

Gal 5:24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires.

Colossians 3:5 You must put to death, then, the earthly desires at work in you, such as sexual immorality, indecency, lust, evil passions, and greed (for greed is a form of idolatry).

Colossians 3:6 Because of such things God's anger will come upon those who do not obey him.

Colossians 3:7 At one time you yourselves used to live according to such desires, when your life was dominated by them.

Colossians 3:8 But now you must get rid of all these things: anger, passion, and hateful feelings. No insults or obscene talk must ever come from your lips.

1 Peter 2:11 I appeal to you, my friends, as strangers and refugees in this world! Do not give in to bodily passions, which are always at war against the soul.

1Johnn 2:15 Do not love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you do not love the Father.

1John 2:16 Everything that belongs to the world---what the sinful self desires, what people see and want, and everything in this world that people are so proud of---none of this comes from the Father; it all comes from the world.

1John 2:17 The world and everything in it that people desire is passing away; but those who do the will of God live forever.
