Summary: In all of history past, and all of time to come there is one person who stands alone, he is above all others, and there is salvation in no other name (this person is Jesus)!

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

“My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.”

Song Of Solomon 5:10

The Jewish Bible says, “The man I love is radiant, He stands out among tens of thousands.”

Travel wherever you desire. Investigate all the religions of the world. At the end of your travels and investigation you will conclude that there are many gods in the world (India alone has over thirty three million), but you will discover – There’s nobody like Jesus.

According to statistics, approximately 85 billion people have lived on Planet Earth since its creation. At the present time there are approximately 8 billion people living on Planet Earth. If Jesus’ coming is not in the very near future, multitudes more will be born. But the truth is there has never been anyone, there’s not anyone, and there will never will be anyone like Jesus!

He’s higher than the highest, greater than the greatest, mightier than the mightiest, and lovelier than the loveliest. He always was, always is, and will always be. He’s unmovable, unchangeable, and undefeatable!

Anytime Jesus and the devil get in the same arena, Jesus will defeat the devil every time. Jesus has never lost a fight with the devil. Some people say, “Someday Jesus will defeat the devil.” The good news is Jesus has already defeated the devil. Jesus has already defeated the devil in three worlds.

First, Jesus has already defeated satan in Heaven when He kicked him out. It really wasn’t a fight. Jesus said OUT and out he went! That’s why Jesus said:

“… I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”

Luke 10:18

Second, Jesus has already defeated satan on Earth when He arose victorious from the grave. If satan had known beforehand the outcome of the Cross, he would never have instigated it.

“Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”

1 Corinthians 2:8

Why? Because it is written:

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

Colossians 2:15

Third, satan has already been defeated in Hell. Before Jesus physically walked out of the grave He took a trip! Yes, He took a trip to the uttermost parts of the earth. To a compartment where the saints of old who had died since the beginning of time were being held, waiting on the Messiah. He made a trip to Hell where He opened the door and led them out of their captivity.

“Wherefore he saith, when He ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?”

Ephesians 4:8-9

Up until this time satan had the keys of death. But this day Jesus took the keys not only of death from the hands of satan, but also the keys of Hell.

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Revelation 1:17-18

Satan does not have the keys of death and Hell - Jesus has the keys. He has them today, He will have them tomorrow, and He will have them forever. Satan is already defeated! He is not going to be defeated someday in the future. He is already defeated! Jesus is not going to someday be victorious. He is already victorious! There is no God like our God!

“For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?”

Psalms 89:6

There’s no God like the God we serve. He’s more than a king; He’s the King of Kings! He’s not just a lord; He is Lord of Lords!

“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Revelation 19:16

Not only is there nobody like Jesus, there is no other name like the name of Jesus!

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;”

Philippians 2:9-10

The name of Jesus is above cancer, heart-trouble, arthritis, high-blood pressure, and every other disease known to man. The name of Jesus is also above humanism, communism, Islam, and every other religion or sect that is upon the earth.

At the name of “Jesus” every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord. Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Hitler, and every wicked leader that has ever lived will someday bow before Him. Every false christ, all religious leaders, and even the atheist will someday bow before Him and openly confess that He is Lord of Lords.

Every man and woman who has ever lived, along with those who are alive today, or will live in the future regardless of their color or class in society will bow before Him. Everything in heaven, on the earth, and even the creatures under the earth will someday bow before Him and confess that He is Lord. Even satan himself will have to bow and confess Him as the Christ.

There is no name like the name of Jesus. How did He receive His name? By inheritance.

“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.”

Hebrews 1:3-4

He received His name by inheritance just like I received my name by inheritance from my father. Jesus received His name by inheritance from His Father.

Regardless of what man may preach and teach today, Jesus is still the only name that brings salvation.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12

Salvation is not in a church or a religion. Salvation can’t be earned. Salvation doesn’t come through Buddha, Mohammad, or any other religious leader. Salvation only comes through the name of Jesus! His name and His name alone will bring salvation to a lost and dying world.

There is nobody like Jesus. Who do you know except Jesus who was born in a manger, lived for thirty three and a half years, was crucified on a cross, was buried in a borrowed tomb and three days later arose victoriously? Then He walked among men for forty days, was taken up into a cloud, and today sits at the right hand of the Father.

Jesus didn’t need a tomb of His own; all He needed was a borrowed tomb because He had already said:

“…Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

John 2:19

Hell didn’t have enough power to keep Jesus in the grave. Jesus didn’t have enough enemies, there weren’t enough Roman soldiers, and even a sealed tomb couldn’t keep Him in the grave. He was destined to go in the grave. Thank God, He was also destined to walk out of the grave! The grave couldn’t hold Him. Death couldn’t handle Him. The Roman soldiers couldn’t stop Him. He arose victorious from the grave defeating death itself.

“Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.”

Acts 2:24

Jesus Himself said:

“…Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Revelation 1:17-18

This verse in the Jewish Bible says, “I am the First and the Last, the living One. I was dead, but look I am alive forever and ever.” Jesus is alive forever. He will never die again. He will never see another spear, spike or cross. He will never be bruised or pierced again. All the blood He will ever shed has already been shed.

“For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.”

Romans 6:10

He is alive forever and ever!

When He comes the second time, and He will come, it will not be like the first time. The first time He came to die, the second time He comes He will raise the dead! The first time He came in meekness, the second time in majesty! The first time He came in poverty, the second time He will come in power! The first time He came and received a crown of thorns, the second time He comes He will have a crown of gold! The first time He came on a donkey, the second time He comes He will come on a white horse! The first time He came as a lamb, but the second time He comes, He will come as a lion!

“The Lion of the tribe of Judah.” The first time He came as a baby, but the second time He will come back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

He lives forever. The price has been paid. Salvation has been purchased. He tasted death once but now He lives and He lives forever! Jesus declared to John on the island of Patmos:

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:8

In today’s language what Jesus was really saying was, I’m the A and the Z! But I’m glad He’s also the B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, and Y! He’s the A and the Z and everything in between. Jesus is God’s alphabet to the world. He’s the:

· A-Almighty God

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

He’s the First and the Last. He is, was, and forever shall be. There was nobody before Him and there will be nobody after Him. Jesus Himself declared to the religious leaders of His day:

“Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” John 8:58

The Jews couldn’t understand what He said and responded by saying, “You’re not even fifty years old how can you say before Abraham was, you was?” What the Jews didn’t understand was that Jesus’ life did not begin when He was born in Bethlehem of Judea. That’s when He was manifested in the flesh. The truth is Jesus pre-existed before He even physically existed. He was from the beginning of time. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,---- and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” (From John 1:1, 14.)

You don’t just find Jesus in the New Testament; you find Him in both the Old and New Testaments. In the Old Testament we find Jesus throughout the scriptures. In Genesis He was the seed of the woman. In Exodus, He was the Passover Lamb. In Leviticus, He is the High Priest. In Numbers, He is the pillar of fire by night and the cloud by day. In Deuteronomy, He is the prophet like unto Moses. In Joshua, He is the Captain of our Salvation. In Judges, He is the Judge and Lawgiver. In Ruth, He is the Kinsman Redeemer. In 1st and 2nd Samuel, He is the trusted Prophet. In 1st and 2nd Kings and 1st and 2nd Chronicles, He is the reigning King. In Ezra, He is the faithful scribe. In Nehemiah, He is the rebuilder of broken lives. In Esther, He is our Mordecai. In Job, He is the Everlasting Redeemer. In Psalms, He is the Great Shepherd. In Proverbs and Ecclesiastes we see Him as wisdom. In Song of Solomon, He is the lover and bridegroom. In Isaiah, He is the Prince of Peace. In Jeremiah, we see Him as righteousness. In Lamentations, He is the weeping prophet. In Ezekiel, He is the wonderful four-faced man. In Daniel, He is the fourth man in the fire. In Hosea, He is the faithful husband. In Joel, He is the Lord that utters His voice before His army. In Amos, He is the burden bearer. In Obadiah, He is the One that is mighty to save. In Jonah, He is the forgiving missionary. In Micah, He is the messenger with beautiful feet. In Nahum, He is the avenger of God’s elect. In Habakkuk, He is God’s evangelist. In Zephaniah, He is our precious savior. In Haggai, He is the restorer of God’s heritage.

In Zechariah, He is the fountain opened up to the house of David. In Malachi, He is the son of righteousness with healing in His wings. There’s nobody like Jesus!

Look in the New Testament; it is the same as in the Old Testament. In Matthew we see Him as Messiah. In Mark we see Him as the wonder worker. In Luke we see Him as the Son of man. In John, He is the Son of God. In Acts we see Him through the Holy Ghost. In Romans, He is the Justifier. In 1st and 2nd Corinthians, He is the Sanctifier. In Galatians, He is the Redeemer from the curse of the law. In Ephesians, He is the Christ who is full of unsearchable riches. In Philippians, He is the God that supplies all of our needs according to His riches in glory. In Colossians we see Him as the fullness of the Godhead. In 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, He is the soon coming King. In 1st and 2nd Timothy, He is the Redeemer between God and man. In Titus we see Him as the faithful pastor. In Philemon we see Him as a friend that sticks closer than a brother. In Hebrews, He is the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant. In James we see Him as the Great Physician. In 1st and 2nd Peter, He is the Chief Shepherd. In 1st and 2nd and 3rd John we see Him as “Love.” In Jude, He is the Lord that cometh with ten thousand of His saints. In Revelation we find Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There’s nobody like Jesus!

In the Old Testament you see Him as Jesus veiled, but in the New Testament you see Him as Jesus unveiled. In the Old Testament we see Him wrapped, but in the New Testament we see Jesus unwrapped. In the Old Testament He is Jesus contained, but in the New Testament He is Jesus explained. In the Old Testament we see Him concealed, but in the New Testament He is revealed. In the Old Testament we see Him in picture, but in the New Testament we see Him in person. In the Old Testament we see Him in a shadow, but in the New Testament we see Him in substance.

Somebody once said, “Jesus was one of a kind.” The truth is He is more than “one of a kind.” He is the only One of an only kind. He’s in a class all of His own.

He can’t be duplicated. You can’t clone Jesus. There will never be anyone else like Him. He was all God and all man in the same body. He was not half God and half man, as some would say. A thousand times, No! He was one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. There’s nobody like Jesus!

God robed Himself in flesh and came to earth through Jesus:

“Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2:6-8

God robed Himself in flesh, came to earth, and as a man faced temptation:

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

Hebrews 4:15

He faced temptation and overcame. Because He overcame we can also overcome. If Jesus would have yielded to a temptation it would be the temptation that satan would also destroy us with. But because Jesus was an overcomer, you can also be an overcomer.

His birth was unlike any other birth that the world had ever seen or will ever see. Jesus had an earthly mother and a heavenly Father. Isaiah prophesied two thousand years before Christ was born and said:

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

Matthew 1:23

When the angel appeared to Mary he tells her she would give birth to a son and she should call His name Jesus. Mary asked:

“…How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?”

Luke 1:34

But Gabriel answers her by saying:

“…The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

Luke 1:35

Who do you know but Jesus who had an earthly mother and a heavenly Father? When Jesus walked on earth some of the things He did He did on His mother’s side, or on the earthly side. Other things He did, He did on His Father’s side, or on the heavenly side.

Jesus inherited some things from His mother and other things from His Father. Certain things about me come from my mother’s side and other things from my father’s side. The same is true with Jesus. On His mother’s side He was the Son of man. On His Father’s side He was the Son of God. On His mother’s side He was of the seed of Abraham. On His Father’s side He was before Abraham. On His mother’s side He was the seed of David, but on His Father’s side He was the root of David. On His mother’s side He was physical, but on His Father’s side He was spiritual. On His mother’s side He was temporary, but on His Father’s side He was Eternal. On His mother’s side He was about six feet tall, but on His Father’s side He fills all of space. On His mother’s side He preached the Word, but on His Father’s side He is the Word! On His mother’s side He walked by the sea, but on His Father’s side He walked on the sea! On His mother’s side He said, “I’m hungry,” but on His Father’s side He fed thousands! On His mother’s side He died on a cross,

but on His Father’s side He arose from the grave! On His mother’s side He got his body, but on His Father’s side He got His Blood! On His mother’s side He was thirty-three years old, but on His Father’s side He is the ancient of days!

When Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary the Holy Ghost literally planted the life of God’s son into Mary’s womb. In a natural birth blood cells in the child come from both parents as is determined at the time of conception. However this did not happen in the birth of Jesus. Since conception did not occur naturally Mary did not supply any of the blood cells. This means the blood came from the Father. That’s why the Blood of Jesus is free from sin. The Blood of Jesus was not contaminated; it is the most precious blood that the world has ever known.

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

1 Peter 1:18-19

Because the Blood of Jesus was free from sin and was not contaminated, His Blood cleanses us from all sin.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

1 John 1:7

Because His Blood is free from sin, we are able to joyfully sing the old songs of the church such as “Power in the Blood” and “There is a fountain filled with Blood.” These old songs contain more than just words; they contain a truth that will set people free.

There’s nobody like Jesus! Who do you know but Jesus who can take a streetwalker and make them a tongue-talker? Take somebody from the dope pit and place them behind a pulpit! Take somebody from the guttermost and save them to the uttermost! Take a nobody and make them a somebody!

There’s nobody like Jesus! He’s the One that made us- it was not ourselves. The heavens declare His glory and the firmament show His handiwork! You can’t define His endless love. He’s enduringly strong, empoweringly sincere, eternally steadfast, immortally graceful, immensely powerful, and impartially merciful.

He does not have to have you. He can survive without me. He stands alone. He’s unique and He’s unparalleled. He’s unprecedented. He’s unmovable and impeachable. He is Supreme and pre-eminent. He satisfies. He provides strength for the weak. He’s available for the tempted and He refreshes those that are tired. There’s nobody like Jesus!

He guards and guides. He heals the sick and cleanses the leper. He forgives sinners and delivers the captives. He defends the poor and blesses the aged. He regards the young and rewards the diligent. He watches over the righteous and beautifies the meek. There’s nobody like Jesus!

He’s the doorway of salvation. Buddha says, “Come this way.” Mohammed says, “Come this way.” But Jesus declares:

“…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 14:6

He’s the doorway of salvation, the only way to deliverance. He’s the pathway to peace and the Highway of Holiness. He’s the gateway to glory. He’s the master of the mighty. He’s the captain of the conquerors and the Head of the Host. He’s the leader of the legislators and the overseer of the overcomer. He’s the governor of all governors and the Prince of all princes. There’s nobody like Jesus!

He was Abel’s sacrifice and Noah’s rainbow. He was Abraham’s ram and Isaac’s well. He was Moses’ rod and Elijah’s mantle. He was Elisha’s staff and Gideon’s fleece. He was Samuel’s anointing oil and David’s slingshot. He was Daniel’s vision and Peter’s shadow. He was Stephens’s signs and wonders and Paul’s handkerchief, and He was John’s pearly white city. There’s nobody like Jesus!

He’s a Father to the orphans, a husband to the widow, and a spring of water in a weary dry land. He’s the bright and morning star. He’s honey in the rock. He’s the brightness of God’s glory. He’s the rose of Sharon and the Lily of the valley. He is the express image of God, the pearl of great prize. And let us not forget, He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! And the government rests upon His shoulders!

He’s my rod, my staff, and He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies, and yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil! Psalms 23:5-6.

He’s the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. He’s the Creator of all and the Keeper of creation. He always was, always is, and always will be. He’s unmoved, unchanged, undefeated, and never outdone. His office is manifold. His promises are sure. His goodness is limitless and His mercy is everlasting.

His Word never changes, His love will endure, and His grace is sufficient. He is caring, loving, eternal, and faithful. He is great, Holy, jealous, and zealous. He is mighty, merciful, true, and everlasting. He reigns in righteousness. His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

He was bruised and brought healing. He was pierced and eases pain. He was persecuted and brought freedom. He was killed and brought life. He is risen and brings power. He reigns and brings peace. He is Light, Love, and Lord. He is goodness, kindness, and gentleness. He is Holy, righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure. His ways are alone, right, and true. His Word is eternal and His will is unchanging. He is Redeemer, Savior, Guide, and Peace. He is my joy, my comfort, my Lord, and the Ruler of my life.

He will never leave me, overlook me, forsake me, mislead me, or forget me. He is everything for everybody everywhere, every time, in every way.

If you fall, He will lift you up. If you fail, He will forgive. If you are weak, He is strong. If you get lost, He is the Way. If you hurt, He is your healing. When you are broke He will mend you. If you are blind He will lead you. When you are hungry, He will feed you. If you face trials, He’ll be with you. When you face persecution, He will shield you. When you have a problem He will comfort you. When you are facing loss He will provide for you. In death He will be with you.

The world can’t understand Him. Armies cannot defeat Him. Schools can’t explain Him. World leaders can’t ignore Him. Pilate couldn’t stand it when he found out he couldn’t stop Him. Pilate couldn’t find any fault in Him. The witness couldn’t get their testimonies to agree. The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him. Herod couldn’t kill Him. Death couldn’t handle Him, and the grave couldn’t hold Him.

He is indescribable because He is incomprehendable. He’s irresistible because He is invisible. You can’t get Him off your hands and you can’t get Him off of your minds. You can’t outlive Him yet you can’t live without Him.

You can’t impeach Him, He’s not going to resign, and you can’t vote Him out. There was nobody before Him and there will be nobody after Him. Travel where you desire and investigate all the religions of the world. You will find…
