Summary: YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW GREAT GOD IS, THEN LOOK AROUND! YOU WANT TO KNOW IF HE IS SUPERNATURAL, THEN LOOK AROUND! YOU WANT TO KNOW IF HE CAN CHANGE PEOPLES LIVES, THEN LOOK AROUND!

1-Assurance-The foundation of our hope is our faith in God.

What you and I are assured of, we don’t worry about, we don’t fret about!

Phil. 4:6-Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication (appeal made to somebody in authority) with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

How is it that we are going to face some needs in our life, and the future without being anxious?

I would get in a car that had bald tires and motor with over 100,000 miles on it and drive 2 or 3 hours away from home and never worry or be anxious about it but I come to God’s word and read something and think about how super natural that is and back off from really believing completely that God can do those kind of things.

2-Anticipation-Evidence of things not seen

When you and I exercise faith, we are projecting in the future.

We are saying, “I am able to see by faith, what the human eye can’t see.

Elisha and the servant-2 Kings 6:8-18-He saw beyond what he saw earlier!

God wants us to be able to see what the world cannot see!

Tanglewood Fellowship Hall!

3-Awareness-By faith we understand

The believer is aware of things the non-believer is not!

The almost car wreak in Rockdale.

I have never seen God visibly but the awareness of His presence is as good to me as seeing Him face to face.

Faith is not God’s challenge to accept something without proof.

YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW GREAT GOD IS, THEN LOOK AROUND!

YOU WANT TO KNOW IF HE IS SUPERNATURAL, THEN LOOK AROUND!

YOU WANT TO KNOW IF HE CAN CHANGE PEOPLES LIVES, THEN LOOK AROUND!

4-Accessible-How does a person reach God?

One way, it isn’t by works, it isn’t by intellect, it isn’t by giving, the only way is faith!

He has taken the wealthiest, the poorest, the intelligent, the ignorant, and at the foot of the cross, everyone is on level ground.

Everything we receive, we receive by faith.

Our access to Him is by faith.

He who comes to God must believe that He is!

He is what?

That He is a personal God, not some far of God, but one who cares about you and your needs, fears, hopes, your dreams…..

5-Authority-Acts 3:1-8-Peter exercised the faith he had in Christ, what was his faith?

His faith was Jesus Christ of Nazareth had the power to raise that man off his sick bed.

Start with the little things, start with the things you are anxious about right now.

What’s the one thing you want him to change in your life?

Remember you are anticipating what God can do, not what you can do!

6-Action-By faith prepared something……

Faith is a word of action!

Faith involves a man’s mind…to think positively

Faith involves a man’s emotion…to feel God’s presence

Faith involves a man’s will…I will put my trust in God!

Faith involves his hands and feet…he gets up and does his part.

Peter raises him up, take up your bed and walk, go wash your eyes, dip in the Jordan seven times…..

You can not tell God that you trust Him or believe in Him and do nothing about it.

Why is it that us believers see so little of the super natural power of God in our life?

Because we are not really trusting God, we are having a weak-hearted belief about Him.

We don’t have that Assurance, that Anticipation, that Awareness, that Authority, and that Action that faith generates in a persons life!

You have the capacity to believe God for something, as much as anyone else!

If you knew God would answer your prayer without fail, what would you be willing to ask God for?

Matthew 7:7-Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8-For everyone who ask receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Mark 9:23-Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

24-Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
