Summary: Mankind has be degraded in so many ways by society but God's perspective of man has not changed. So what do God think about mankind?

What is Man?

Psalms 8:1-9

Society has done everything to degrade the life of man. There are people in our society that either believes that they are better than others and then there are those who look down on themselves and feel worthless.

Psalms 144:3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! Or the son of man that thou makest account of him!

Job 7:17 What is man that thou shouldest magnify him? And that thou shouldest set thy heart upon him?

David says when I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

Certainly the galaxies are fascinating to study and beyond the depths of the knowledge of man but David in comparison says to God…

Vs.4 What is man that thou art mindful of him?

1. Man Is Divinely Prepared

See: Genesis 1:26-27 Man made in the image and likeness of God

See: 1 Thessa. 5:23 Man as God is a person that possesses a body, soul and spirit!

He is not like the rest of the created creatures!

The evolutionists would want you to believe that you and all of creation evolved from the same substance.

And: Genesis 2:7 Man formed from the dust of the ground and God breathed into him the breath of life.

Everything previously was spoken into existence but man God carefully formed.

Mention: Psalms 8:5 Thou was made a little lower than the angels and not a little above the apes.

Mention: 1 Cor. 15:45 The first Adam was made a living soul

Mention: Psalms 139:14 I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and my soul knoweth right well.

2. Man is Divinely Positioned

Psalms 8:6 Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.

See: Genesis 1:26, and let him have dominion over…

Mention: Genesis 2:19-20 Adam named every creature (He wasn’t dumb)

And: Genesis 9:1-2 Into your hands they are delivered

3. Man is Divinely Protected

See: Genesis 9:3-6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man his blood be shed…

We did not need Woe vs. Wade to tell us what to do with an innocent child in the womb because God had already spoken!

See: Genesis 9:9-13 God makes a covenant with man not to destroy all of mankind by a flood. He later makes a New Covenant which brings us to my last point.

4. Man has a Divine Provision

All of creation dies and goes back to the earth but man is given a divine provision.

See: Eccl. 3:17-22 Who knoweth the spirit of man goeth upward and the spirit of the beast goeth downward.

See: Eccl. 12:7 The spirit returns unto God who gave it.

See: Hebrews 2:5-10 That divine provision was Jesus who tasted death for every man (not creature).

God was so mindful of man He stepped out of heavens glory in the person of His Son and died on Cavalry’s cross for man’s sins.

In this man has a choice that is not given to any other creature heaven or hell. Which will you choose?
