Summary: Work by faith.

II Kings 3:

6And king Jehoram went out of Samaria the same time, and numbered all Israel.

7And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.

8And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the wilderness of Edom.

9So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days’ journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

10And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!

11But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may inquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.

2Ki 3:15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.

2Ki 3:16 And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.

2Ki 3:17 For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

2Ki 3:18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.

2Ki 3:19 And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.

•Three Kings not to mention all their armies, and animals found themselves in a desperate situation (they had went seven days in the wilderness and they had no water).

•This is a dilemma: water is a necessity of life, it’s not an extra or luxury it’s necessary to sustain life.

•Without it you die.

•The King of Israel starts blaming God for their dilemma (it was his fault not Gods).

•This King was a bad influence:

•If it hadn’t been for King Jehoshaphat who knew the power of a word from God they would have all died in the wilderness.

•(He asked is there not a prophet here that we may inquire of the Lord).

•Jehoshaphat knew: one word from God can change everything.

•You need to surround yourself with people that would walk a mile or 5 miles 10 miles to hear a word from God, because they know one word from God can change your world.

•I’m prophesying that today somebody is going to take action on the word from God that is going to break the drought and shift you into abundance and overflow, shift you into a new season.

•This is your day for a breakthrough, for a turnaround.

•Make this valley full of ditches (not exactly the word you want to hear when you’re in the middle of a desert dying of thirst) make this valley full of ditches.

•If you have ever dug ditches then you know it’s hard work. And it’s especially difficult when the ground is hard and dry.

•Here they were in a wilderness, a dry, desert valley place, a low place.

•And in this place, this low dry desert place, the word of the Lord says dig ditches

•It was hard slow and difficult work (no doubt their hands were bleeding their backs were sore, their arms were aching their shoulders were aching and to top it all off, their thirst was becoming unbearable).

•I’m talking to some people right now who have been in that same place: that low dry place everything is hard, it’s difficult, it takes a great amount of effort.

•You have to force yourself to praise the Lord.

oYou have to force yourself to pray.

oYou have to force yourself to read the Bible.

oYou have to force yourself to go to church.

•And it feels like you’re so dry and empty and your mind is saying this is ridiculous and the devil is telling you it’s not worth it.

•The devil is telling you it’s over, it’s dead, and it’s never going to happen.

•(Those dreams and visions) those prophecies, are never going to come to pass.

oYou’re never going to launch that ministry.

oYou’re never going to see those children saved.

oYou never going to start that business.

oYou’re never going to get out of debt.

•And when you look at your present circumstances and what you’re feeling (the temptation is to agree with him).

•But somebody needs to make up in your mind that you are going to hold on to your promise and hold on to that prophecy and hold on to that dream and that vision and keep digging.

•I know it’s hard work, I know it’s difficult, I know sometimes it doesn’t make sense, I know sometimes you don’t feel like it, but you have to keep digging.

•You may be in the greatest drought season of your life, everything around you seems to be dried up.

•But the only way to get through it is to keep on moving, keep on digging, keep on praying, keep on praising, keep on sowing, keep on coming to church.

•What do you do when you’re going through the fire? (You keep on walking).

•What do you do when you’re going through the Red Sea and the Egyptian army is closing in on you? (You keep on walking).

•What do you do when you find yourself in the Valley of the shadow of death? (You keep on walking).

•What you don’t realize is that in that low dry place where you are digging and your hands are bleeding and your muscles are aching and you got dirt in your hair and in your mouth and under your fingernails.

•What you don’t realize is this: (you are building a landing strip for God’s blessings in your life).

•You are the one who determines how deep and how wide is his provisions, his glory, and his anointing in your life.

•You are creating the capacity to receive a greater glory, a greater power, a greater anointing, a greater blessing than you have ever had in your life.

oI know the devil meant it to kill you.

oI know he meant to drive you out of the church.

oI know he meant to convince you that it was hopeless.

oI know it’s been hard, and it’s been dry, and I know you felt like everybody was throwing dirt in your face.

•But I came to tell you: it’s a setup, God is getting ready to flip the script and you’re going to see the fruit of your labor.

oGod is not unrighteous to forget your labor of love.

oBe not weary in well doing for in due season you shall reap if you faint not.

•This is somebody’s due season.

•It’s a new season:

•Elijah said: I hear the sound of an abundance of rain (he picked it up in the spirit).

•I believe today somebody is picking it up in the spirit (somebody has just caught the sound of the abundance of rain in their spirit).

•I came into this house today not just to preach but I came to prophesy.

•I’m anointed to tell somebody the drought is over.

•It’s a new season

•I’m prophesying to somebody who has been in a spiritual drought (that drought is breaking today).

•Tell your neighbor: the season is changing.

•I know I’m not talking to everybody, but I’m talking to somebody.

•If you’ve never been in a spiritual drought than this message won’t mean much to you, but there is somebody listening to me who has been in an dry place and it seems like the heavens are brass and it hasn’t rained in a while and it feels like God moved and didn’t leave any forwarding address.

•But I came to tell you: the drought is breaking, and in the same place, (I said in the same place) where the enemy said it’s over. In the same place where the enemy said I’m going to destroy you.

oI’m going to destroy your ministry.

oI’m going to destroy your marriage.

oI’m going to destroy your family.

oI’m going to destroy your health.

oI’m going to destroy you financially.

•In that same place where the devil said it’s going to end you’re going to dry up and die.

•I came to tell you: you’re getting ready to tap Into a fresh anointing and a brand-new supply of the glory and the power of God and you’re going to rise up with a new boldness and a new faith and determination and a new anointing and you’re going to go into the enemy’s camp and you’re going to take back everything he stole from you during the drought.

•There’s a drought breaking anointing here right now.

•I feel somebody is getting up in their faith.

•Somebody is standing up on the inside.

•Somebody’s caught the scent of water*

•Job 14:7-9 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

•8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

•9 Yet (through the scent of water) it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

•Did you hear that? The scent of water: not the actual water or taste of water, but just the scent of it.

•I’m trying to preach but I feel I need to encourage someone:

•Somebody is catching the scent of water right now.

•You can’t feel it, you can’t see it you can’t taste it (but you smelled it).

oPush your neighbor and tell them: I smell it, I smell it.

oThe scent of water is in the air.

oThe scent of breakthrough is in the air.

oThe scent of miracles is in the air.

oThe scent of revival is in the air.

oThe scent of a new anointing is in the air.

oI feel the wind changing.

oI feel a shift in the atmosphere.

o(it was hot and dry, but I feel a change, I feel humidity in the air).

•I can’t see any difference yet, but I feel it in the atmosphere.

•The atmosphere is getting heavy, the atmosphere is getting thick.

•Somebody needs to lift your hands and give God praise right now: the glory of the Lord is here, his presence is in this house.

o(I feel the spirit of drought breaking)

oThe wind is blowing: The season is changing.

oI smell water. oI smell life. oI smell joy.

oI smell restoration. oI smell deliverance.

oI smell a new level of anointing.

•No wonder the devil has fought you so hard, no wonder he’s tried to kill you in the wilderness.

oHe knew if you ever got to the water he wouldn’t have a chance.

oHe knew if you’ve ever tapped Into that hidden power that he wouldn’t have a chance, you would tear him up.

oThe Bible says you will (not see) wind nor rain, yet that Valley shall be filled with water.

•Somebody today: you’re tapping into hidden power.

•The devil thought he had you, he got you out in a low dry place, and he thought he had you.

•He (couldn’t see) any water around anywhere and he thought you would die of thirst.

•And he thought that you would just fold your hands and you would quit.

oHe thought you would just throw in the towel and give up.

oHe thought that you would fall apart.

oHe thought you would have a nervous breakdown.

oHe thought you would get angry and bitter and resentful and critical.

oHe thought you would just sit down and cry.

•He never counted on you digging ditches.

•You see my friend the devil don’t know everything.

•The devil thought that you were shallow…

o…that your faith was shallow…

o…that your praise was shallow…

•He thought that it was all surface, that it was all about emotions.

•And he thought that as soon as it got rough and as soon as it got hard and as soon as it got dry you’d go running back to Egypt.

•The truth is: I might have quit…

o…I might have turned around…

o…I might have thrown in the towel…

o…I might have given up on my dreams and on my hopes…

o…(but I got a word)…

oI got word that says: my season is changing.

oI got a word that says: water is on the way.

oI got a word that says: it’s going to get better.

•I got a word that says: weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.

•Tell your neighbor: I got a word.

•A word is all you need, all Peter needed was one word to put the thing that was going over his head under his feet.

•One word from God is all you need.

•(This valley shall be filled with water)

•I’m talking to somebody tonight: God said to tell you (It’s coming).

•It’s on its way.

•You can’t see it but it’s already been released from heaven.

•There is a breakthrough in the atmosphere

•And God said to tell you (it’s closer than you think).

You’re on the edge of your miracle; the drought is breaking right now,

oThe season is changing (that financial drought is breaking).

oThat spiritual drought is breaking.

oThat drought in your marriage is breaking.

oThat drought in your ministry is breaking.

oYou’re getting your joy back

oYou’re getting your fire back

oYou’re getting your vision back

oYou’re getting your passion back

•There is an under ground river running through this place, I hear the rumble in the spirit.

•Somebody’s about to break through.

•One more shovel full of dirt.

•I know your muscles are sore, your back is aching, I know you don’t feel like it.

•But just one more shout, one more thank you Jesus, one more Hallelujah.

•One more dance, one more march around the walls, and something’s going to happen.

•Something’s going to break.

•Your praise is building a landing strip:

•Your praise is creating an atmosphere for the power and the glory of God.

•Somebody needs to start praising God: like you already have it.

oStart praising him like the walls of debt have already fallen.

oStart praising him like the marriage is already restored.

oStart praising him like the sickness is already healed.

oStart praising him like the business is already started.

oStart praising him like you’ve already written that book.

oStart praising him like those children are already saved, filled with the Holy Ghost and working in the church.

oStart praising him like those doors of opportunity have already swung open.

oStart praising him like you already have that Husband God promised you, or that Wife God promised you.

•I smell the scent of water:

•Somebody’s tapping in right now, somebody has hit the anointing. Somebody has broken through.

•I hear the sound of the abundance of rain:

•It’s raining in this place right now, the rain of glory is in the house.

oThere’s healing in the rain…

oThere’s deliverance in the rain…

oThere’s miracles in the rain….

oThere’s breakthrough in the rain…

oThere’s joy in the rain…

•You can sit there looking cute with your umbrella up over your head, or you can fold that umbrella up, and start dancing in the rain.

•It’s a new season

•Now lets find out why God sent the water:

•It’s not just because you were thirsty, it wasn’t just because you were dry, and it wasn’t just because you were in trouble.

•God loves you and he wants your needs met, but he has bigger things in his sight (God doesn’t just want to meet your need, and rescue you, and deliver you)

•God wants you to be so filled up, and so fired up, and so powered up that you will stand up and make the devil sorry that he ever bothered you.

•God said: I’m going to give you the water, I’m going to quench your thirst, I’m going to meet your need, I’m going to deliver you, but that’s just beginning.

•2 kings 3:18-19 And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand. And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.

•This is what it’s all about, (It’s a new season) it’s turn around time…

•God said now you are going to be chasing the thing that was chasing you, and you are going to go into the enemies camp and knock down his walls and stop up his wells, and set people free.

•The devil didn’t want you to hear this message, but it’s too late you’ve got a word.

•You’re not going to die in the dessert: it’s a new season.

•It’s a turn around season.

•It’s the season for invading the enemy’s camp and taking back what he stole from you.

•It’s time for restoration.

•Somebody push your neighbor and tell them: It’s a new season, and I’m taking it all back.
