BINDING CONTRACT
INTRODUCTION:
Have you ever made a “BINDING CONTRACT” with someone? Sure you have! We all have albeit maybe not legal in the “LEGAL SENSE” all the time. But a “PROMISE” in the eyes of God is a “BINDING CONTRACT!”
The word “BIND” literally means, “TO PLACE A CONTRACT ON SOMETHING!” Ergo the term, “BINDING CONTRACT!”
This is precisely what happens when you pray for something. When you pray for something in the “EARTHLY REALM”, God puts a “CONTRACT” on it in the “HEAVENLY REALM!” That is if you are praying in “ACCORDANCE” with God’s will!
That is a key issue with getting prayers answered, although your prayers are grounded two things, “ACCORDANCE & FAITH!” They both go together, hand in glove! If you want something enough to pray for it you have to have the “FAITH” to believe for it & the understanding of “GOD’S WILL” or “ACCORDANCE!”
God will not answer anything in the affirmative if it is not in “ACCORDANCE” with His Will!
Nhat’s not to say what you may be praying for is bad, but if it’s not in “ACCORDANCE” with His Will then don’t be surprised or disappointed if it doesn’t happen or you don’t get it!
Remember something! Your happiness, as you see it, is not His supreme concern! His “SUPREME CONCERN” is His “FULLNESS” in your life! If you have His “FULLNESS” in your life, you’ll know & understand happiness in a whole new regard and light!
The Word of God is full of His Promises to us as His Children! He watches over each and every single promise to fulfill them as His Word says!
When we stand “ON” His Word, He stands “BY” His Word! His Word is His “BOND!”
Sometimes we pray as if God doesn’t really want to answer our prayers! We pray as though we’re giving God a way out of answering us or our prayer! We sometimes pray as though we’re going to “OFFEND” God! Folk, we have no idea how “BADLY” God wants to “KEEP” His promises with us!
God loves nothing more than “KEEPING” His promises! He is actively waiting for us to call out, agree on and make a “BINDING CONTRACT” with Him concerning our needs & wants!
There is nothing God wants to do more than...
“PROVE HIS POWER BY KEEPING HIS PROMISES!”
Folk, scripture tells us to come “BOLDLY”
Hebrews 4:16 says “Let us therefore come BOLDLY to the throne of grace, that
we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need.”
“BOLDLY” is not demanding, “BOLDLY” is “CONFIDENCE” that God wants & will answer our prayers!
Don’t confuse “CONFIDENCE” with “ARROGANCE!” When you speak with “CONFIDENCE” you speak with “AUTHORITY” as though the words are yours!
Matthew 18:18
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Everybody who calls themselves a Christian knows this passage & quotes it quite often because they want something. If you didn’t catch it, I spoke towards this passage a moment ago without referencing it. I said...

God wants to bless you far more than you want to be blessed! And His capacity to give is far greater than your capacity to receive!
Everybody who calls themselves a Christian knows this passage & quotes it quite often because they want something. But so many do it without realizing or consulting God on what they are “BINDING” here on earth!
Here’s a passage for your consideration this morning!
Psalm 84:11
“No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly!”
Ah, there is the “RUB” as Shakespeare put it in Hamlet!
He can hardly wait to “KEEP” His promises! He can hardly wait to “PERFORM” His word! He can hardly wait to “ANSWER” our prayers! So it behooves us “WALK UPRIGHTLY” before Him!
That is the “KEY!” We can’t live less than “UPRIGHTLY” and expect God to “KEEP, PERFORM & ANSWER” our prayers if we’re not living “UPRIGHTLY!”
Folk, that doesn’t mean “PERFECT or PERFECTION” it means making God’s will “YOUR PRIORITY!” It means putting God “FIRST IN ALL THINGS!” It means “TAKING HIM AT HIS WORD, LITERALLY!” It means being “COMPLETE” in Him!
II Corinthians 13:11 tells us...
“Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind...and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”
Be “COMPLETE” in Him!
It’s not in His Nature to withhold “ANY GOOD THING” from us! But He most certainly won’t bless “DISOBEDIENCE” but He most certainly will bless “OBEDIENCE!”
So how do we do that? I’m glad you asked!
Romans 12:2 tells us... “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is
that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
