Summary: We represent the priesthood who minister the things of God. We cannot define our blessings because our blessings are limitless. As the Word says, these blessings are pressed down, shaken together, and running over and they are more than enough. So walk in

Priestly Covenant Blessings

Deuteronomy 18:1-2;5 - The priests, the Levites-all the tribe of Levi-shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel; they shall eat the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and His portion. Therefore they shall have no inheritance among their brethren; the Lord is their inheritance, as He said to them. For the Lord your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of the Lord, him and his sons forever.

Money on its own is not a blessing. Money is part of the blessings but it is not the Biblical definition of blessings. There are things that money cannot buy.

What are spiritual blessings?

• living in a peaceful environment

• living a life which is stress-free

• having your family around you

• living in health and healing

• enjoying a long and fruitful life

• having sufficiency in all things

• being safe from harm

• fulfilling your divine purpose

It is possible to have all these blessings here on earth. God wants to release blessings in your life, but you may have to re-position yourself in order to receive these blessings.

1 John 4:17 - Because as He is, so are we in this world.

We are living in the now and God wants us to experience all these blessings.

A lot of believers do not walk in their blessings because they think they do not deserve it. You do not necessarily have to work for these blessings. The blessings of the Lord can be accessed by being obedient and speaking them over your life by faith.

Abraham was God’s covenant partner. He was a man of faith and he pleased God. When you please God, God is going to please you. A happy father is a giving father. Abraham believed God and he did things which were right in the sight of God.

God called Moses to take the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. After Moses died, God raised up Joshua to divide the Promised Land as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel.

Of the 12 tribes, only 11 were permitted to inherit land which had clearly defined boundaries for each tribe.

The remaining tribe of Levi were the priests who ministered to God, to the people, and presented the people to God. They were representatives of God and were not allowed to receive any land.

The other tribes received an inheritance that was clearly defined and had limited prescribed boundaries. God had something else in mind for His anointed priests.

He did not want them to inherit land, because He wanted them to inherit Him. He wanted them to understand that when they inherited Him, they inherited undefined blessings without limits and without boundaries. They did not have an inheritance of material things because they (the priests) would be the blessings and they would release the blessings of the Lord on God’s people and on the nation.

They were not discriminated against or shortchanged but received the best because they inherited God, all His power, all His wealth, and all His authority. That was God’s plan for those who ministered to the Lord and represented the things of God to the people.

Throughout the history of humankind, land has always been important. Throughout the ages, almost every war that has been fought has been fought over land.

God did not want the priests to be at war which meant that they would never have to fight. He wanted them to live in peace.

The priests would never have to fight a war because they represent God who is the God of peace, the God of love, the God of reconciliation, the God who redeems, and the God who forgives. They would not have to fight over land because they were not warriors, but peacemakers. That was their purpose and their inheritance. Not physical possessions with its limitations, but unlimited potential.

How does this apply to you and I?

1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Because of the work on the cross and the blood of Jesus, we are priests under the New Covenant. We represent the tribe of Levi. We are the tribe that does not receive defined, limited blessings. We are not the tribe that is in constant conflict and fighting wars. We are the peacemakers who inherit God and everything that God is. The blessings allocated to the tribe of Levi are allocated to you and me. This is our inheritance. That is who we are.

We are who God is and we are the possessions, we are the blessings. Because we inherit God, we inherit all that He is and all that He has. We have every blessing because of who we are. It is our God-given inherited right because we are washed in the blood of the Lamb. We do not have to beg for anything.

We represent the priesthood who minister the things of God. We cannot define our blessings because our blessings are limitless. As the Word says, these blessings are pressed down, shaken together, and running over and they are more than enough. So walk in your spiritual blessings.

God owns everything. The earth belongs to Him and everything that is in the earth. God has made us heirs of everything that belongs to Him and we are co-rulers with Him over all that He owns. He does not rule over us – we rule with Him.

That is why you are called to lead and not to follow. We are seated with Jesus Christ in heavenly places. We are seated with Him so that we can rule with Him. That is the authority that He has given to His children.

We are partners with Him and He includes us in everything He is doing and what He is going to do in the future.

But being part of God’s Kingdom means we have responsibilities.

Although we are free, we have responsibilities. Even Jesus has responsibilities. He is responsible for interceding for you. He is responsible to the Father. He is responsible for the anointing that comes upon your life.

Many believers today desire the blessings of God, but do not want any responsibility. The reason why there are so many Christians today that live far below their potential, is because they do not want to take responsibility for their position in Christ and the call on their life.

If you are a partner in any business I am sure you would want your partner to be like you and to uphold the same standards as you. In order to be a co-ruler with Christ, He requires us to have the same standards as He has.

The standard that God has is the standard of His Word and if His Word says we need to be holy, then we need to live a life of holiness.

If we want to experience the full blessings as priests of the Most High God, we need to make changes and re-position ourselves so that we can come under the covenant requirements that God has for us.

It is not hard to serve God. It is harder to serve the devil because he is a merciless taskmaster.

These are the conditions that Peter sets out for all born-again believers who desire the blessings of the Lord upon their lives:

• abstain from fleshly lusts

• perform good works that your good works may be seen by others

• to obey the laws of the land

• although we are free, we must not misuse our liberty

• to honor all people

• to show love towards one another

When the prodigal son walked away from who he was, he landed up in a pigsty and only when he came back to the place where he was supposed to be, did he receive his inheritance. There are too many Christians today groveling in pigsty’s, living far below the potential that God has anointed them for, because they have walked away from where they are supposed to be.

So, what is my responsibility? Living a life of holiness and ministering God’s standard. Why does God want you to be in the priesthood or a priest – this was the responsibility of the tribe of Levi.

The Bible teaches that the priests were responsible for releasing the blessings upon the nation. If we are not walking in these blessings, we will not be able to release the blessings on our nation.

Our responsibility is to put the name of Jesus on the nation.

We are the only people that have a right to put the name of Jesus on our nation. Nations suffer political upheaval, wars, financial disasters, and moral decline, because believers do not realize that they are the anointed priests of the Most High God and that they are not applying the name of Jesus on their nation.

The world economy historically, experiences cycles of ups and downs. We are living in the last days and that means world economies are going to experience a continuous down cycle and will never bounce back. Things will continue to go from bad to worse.

Prophetically, that is what we can expect to happen in the last days.

But the economies of the world do not affect the economy of God. The world systems will suffer financially, but heaven never suffers from financial failure because everything in heaven and on earth belongs to God and we are the heirs. We are who He is. We do not pray for the blessings because we are the blessings.

There are too many people that live under the curse. It is time for the priests to stand up and to release the blessings upon their families and their nations.

We are living in the last days and perilous times are coming. In order to survive supernaturally in the harsh times that are coming upon the earth, we need to take responsibility and step into our God-ordained positions as priests and exercise the mandate which God has given us. Do not seek material things. By exercising your priestly duties, blessings will be manifest in your life.
