The Alpha and Omega

8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning saith the Lord, "which is and which was and which is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:8 KJV

Jesus Christ declares that he is "the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Who is and who was and who is to come, for he is the Almighty." MB

He is the first letter of the Greek alphabet Alpha, which in Greek numerals has a value of one, and the last letter of the Greek alphabet Omega, which literally means great.

He is all things. He is number one and all greatness.

We have all heard of Jesus Christ, and hopefully all of us have become part of his family.

However do we really know the depth of Christ.

For instance in the Bible there are at least 251 names that describe Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In Revelation 1:8 He declares that he is the Alpha and the Omega, yes he is the great “I Am” God Almighty.

Introduction

In Matthew 22:32 God says; 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

I would like you to consider the question that Micah asked in Micah 7:18-19. Micah starts verse 18 off with a question, "Who is a God like unto thee,”

So our theme for the message this morning is: “Who is the Alpha and Omega like unto thee” that can:

Look at what Micah 7:18-19 says;

18 Who is a God like unto thee, Pardoneth iniquity and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage?

He retaineth not his anger forever, because He delighteth in mercy.

19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us, and will subdue our iniquities. You thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:18-19 KJV
