Isaiah Chapter 61:1-3 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
We are anointed to perform ministry.
Jesus was anointed for ministry
Acts 10:38 - How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
What must we do?
1. Do God’s will
Acts 13:22 - I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.
1 Peter 4:3 - For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.
* Fulfill your purpose on earth
* Finish the work
* Jesus finished the work
* Paul finished the race
2. Do God’s Word
James 1:22 - But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
* Obedience
* Relationship with God
* Freedom from bondage
3. Do good
1 Peter 4:19 - Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
* God is good
* Gives good things
* Go about doing good
* Ministry of compassion
2 Thessalonians 3:13 - But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.
4. Love
Hebrews 13:1-2 - Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
5. Do some things secretly
Matthew 6:3 - But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

6. Do this continuously
Galatians 6:9 - And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Luke 12:44 And the Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has.
Romans 2:7 - Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;

John 14:12 - "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

* Prayed
* Fulfilled His purpose
Doing the works of God is defeating the works of the devil by binding the strongman and plundering his house.
