A God knows the thoughts of your heart.
1 In Christ’s earthly ministry He “Perceived” the hearts of men.
a “Perceived” in scripture means to know something from a spiritual perception, & not from information gained by experience or observation.
aa 8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? Matt 16:8 (KJV)
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Matt 22:18 (KJV)
8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Mark 2:8 (KJV)
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? Luke 5:22 (KJV)
bb He knew information / insight that had been revealed to Him by the Holy Spirit.
38 "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 (NASB)
b The Apostle Paul reveals there are 9 gifts of the Spirit.
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,10 and to another the effecting of miracles , and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Cor 12:7-10 (NASB)
3 Categories (power gifts, vocal gifts, mind gifts)
Vs. 8: Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Vs. 10: Discerning of Spirits
aa Wisdom: Solomon; Amazing insight & solve complex problems
bb Word of Knowledge: (Revelation Knowledge) Ability to search the Word of God & pull out deep things of God (types, shadows, patterns)
cc Discerning of Spirits: Detect / know spirits and discern the spirit of a person, discover real motives & hidden attitudes of the heart.
dd This mind gifts are to help the church deal with difficult people, situation, & the enemy working through them! (Also helpful for helping people who need a spiritual breakthrough)
c Jesus possessed all the gifts including the word gifts!
aa He knew people’s heart, motives, agenda...
bb Today, accused of being a psychic / mind reader but this was from the Holy Spirit, not Satan!
2 The devil has perverted / counterfeited the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the mind gifts.
a IL. Have you ever seen a counterfeit $3? No, because the treasury department hasn’t ever printed a real $3. $1, $5, $10, Yes!
aa There cannot be a copy without an original!
bb The devil has his imitation of mind gifts / psychic, mind readers, mediums, ect.) But if there is a counterfeit then there must be an original!
b Weak ministries & liberal theologians have scared & warned Christian’s about the dangers of all spiritual manifestations as some sort of demonic spirit
B Today, some of the most popular shows on cable have to do with paranormal, mind - readers, spiritual mediums, Psychics, ghost hunters
1 These alleged Psychics / Mediums claim to know something about you / your past ... appear to be accurate
a Some are out & out “con artists.”
aa IL. Secretary @ Psychics demonstration (Calling people by name, parents, loss of a loved one, ect)
bb Comes to her (Wrong name, SS. License plate)
b Sometimes these spiritists tap into a familiar spirit: acquainted with the person of the past / giving out information that is already known.
2 These familiar spirts are deceptive / evil ... Real.
a Just as God reveals insight by the Holy Spirit, the devil uses his demons to reveal false insight based on deception & mixed with facts already established,
b How does Satan know so much?
C We’re told only God knows the future, but there are certain things in the Spirit world known by angelic beings & Satan himself about the future. (The cross wasn’t one of them!)
6 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away;7 but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory;8 the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;1 Cor 2:6-8 (NASB)

When Satan is dismissed from heaven he has a short time on earth.
b 2 Chronicles speaks of king Ahab’s death being planned in heaven before it happens & angels were involved in setting up his death.
18 Micaiah said, "Therefore, hear the word of the Lord. I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing on His right and on His left.19 "The Lord said, 'Who will entice Ahab king of Israel to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?' And one said this while another said that.20 "Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord and said, 'I will entice him.' And the Lord said to him, 'How?'21 "He said, 'I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' Then He said, 'You are to entice him and prevail also. Go and do so.'22 "Now therefore, behold, the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, for the Lord has proclaimed disaster against you." 2 Chron 18:18-22 (NASB)
2 When information is released in the spirit world (whether satanic attack or angelic assignment) it CAN BE known for men to receive: Delivery is the question.
a Holy Spirit or familiar spirit
b We must be careful!
D When a person is arrested the person is read their Miranda Rights.
1 Spiritually, when you say your scared of being in a car wreck, dying young, cancer, kids turning out bad... your words aren’t just bouncing off the wall - they are released into the spiritual atmosphere.
a 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Prov 18:21 (NASB)
b The enemy can tailor make, customize a fear tactic to use against you.
2 Job is the case study.
5 When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send and consecrate them, rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, "Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did continually. Job 1:5 (NASB)
a There sons, three daughters; Job offered animal sacrifice for “Perhaps my sons cursed God in their hearts.”
b Job’s fear was cursing God.
aa Satan developed a plan of attack for Job
bb 11 "But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face." Job 1:11 (NASB)
5 "However, put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse You to Your face." Job 2:5 (NASB)
Took his health, wealth, family in an attempt to get Job to curse God.
cc Satan used Job’s words / actions to plan a negative future for him.
c It’s not necessary for Satan to read your mind when you’re telling him your doubts, unbelief, fear, who you’re angry at.
aa We’re like a pipe with water flowing out of it never refraining from negative talk.
bb Why does the devil have to read our minds when all he has to do is read our lips?
cc He uses my words against me (Facebook, texts, notes, conversation)
E Guard your mouth & mind.
1 We can control / guard what enters out mind be refusing to watch / hear something... our mouth is a tougher battle.
a It’s our actions / words that the enemy uses to sink us! Accuser of the brethren.
b Loose lips sink ships... & stops spiritual breakthrough.
aa Pray not seeing results (seeing regression)
bb Why do I even pray? What’s the use?
cc You are aborting the breakthrough with your word.
2 It’s common to pray & claim victory, breakthrough, healing & claim publically God knows / hears our prayers.
a A month later nothing has changed so we admit defeat, question God, prayer, faith. (Stop praying)
b God hears our prayers on “the day we pray”
12 Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. Dan 10:12 (NASB)
aa Heaven accounting of time is different than earth time.
bb Sun cycle a day, moon month, earth a year.
cc Time was made for the earth not for heaven
c 8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 2 Peter 3:8 (NASB)
aa We give up after 30 days earth time but in heaven it’s as though God hears you at the same time.
bb I know if I continue to open my mouth contrary to the power of faith the accuser of the brethren can legally use those words against me.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. Rev 12:10 (NASB)
3 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:6 (KJV)
a 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Heb 10:23 (KJV)
aa 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Rev 3:3 (KJV) Keep it!
bb “Hold fast” isn’t just saying it, but hold it so someone else doesn’t take it from you!
b 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Eph 6:13 (NASB) Stand your ground without moving!
F 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Heb 4:14 (NASB)

bb He’s preparing a place for us for eternity, access to the Father.
cc He’s our advocate before Him now!
23 The former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing,24 but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently.25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. b I believe He’s on my side right now!
2 The devil can throw darts & place thoughts in your mind, but if your mind is already filled with good & godly thoughts, they are duds...
a He will read your lips & attack with that information
b 12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment. James 5:12 (NASB)
c The less we say, the less he knows, & the less he knows, the better off we are.
