A. Rejoice in the LORD

"FOR THE rest, my brethren, delight yourselves in the Lord and continue to rejoice that you are in Him."

1. With all heart

Zephaniah 3:14 (Amplified Bible)

Sing, O Daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice, be in high spirits and glory with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem [in that day].

2. Greatly

Zechariah 9:9 (Amplified Bible)

Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you; He is [uncompromisingly] just and having salvation [triumphant and victorious], patient, meek, lowly, and riding on a donkey, upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Matthew 21:5 (Amplified Bible)

Say to the Daughter of Zion [inhabitants of Jerusalem], Behold, your King is coming to you, lowly and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey [a beast of burden].

John 12:14-15 (Amplified Bible)

And Jesus, having found a young donkey, rode upon it, [just] as it is written in the Scriptures,

Do not fear, O Daughter of Zion! Look! Your King is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!

3. Glad and sing for joy

Psalms 5:11 (Amplified Bible)

But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.

4. Our names are written in Heaven - our correct motivation to rejoice

Luke 10:20 (Amplified Bible)

Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are enrolled in heaven.

5. Rejoice with those who rejoice

Romans 12:15 (Amplified Bible)

Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief].

6. Always

1 Thessalonians 5:16 (Amplified Bible)

Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always);

B. Reading the same things - a safeguard for life

"To keep writing to you [over and over] of the same things is not irksome to me, and it is [a precaution] for your safety."

1. Will of GOD for us is to be safe -- Safety First

Psalms 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

Hosea 2:18 (Amplified Bible)

And in that day will I make a covenant for Israel with the living creatures of the open country and with the birds of the heavens and with the creeping things of the ground. And I will break the bow and the sword and [abolish battle equipment and] conflict out of the land and will make you lie down safely.

John 17:12 (Amplified Bible)

While I was with them, I kept and preserved them in Your Name [in the knowledge and worship of You]. Those You have given Me I guarded and protected, and not one of them has perished or is lost except the son of perdition [Judas Iscariot—the one who is now doomed to destruction, destined to be lost], that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

Proverbs 18:10 (Amplified Bible)

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong.

Proverbs 28:26 (Amplified Bible)

He who leans on, trusts in, and is confident of his own mind and heart is a [self-confident] fool, but he who walks in skillful and godly Wisdom shall be delivered.

Proverbs 29:25 (Amplified Bible)

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts his confidence in the Lord is safe and set on high.

Psalms 27:5 (Amplified Bible)

For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

Psalms 37:3 (Amplified Bible)

Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.

If the desire of every normal man is to be safe in his work place, at home and to be safe everywhere he goes, how much more GOD's desire for us to be safe and GOD provided every way for us to be safe to travel to.

Isaiah 43:2 (Amplified Bible)

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.

It's not an issue if you will go through fiery trials, the issue is when, but when it happens GOD is always there, that if you go through it, you won't see the effect, you won't be harm because GOD protected and shielded you from it.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Rejoice in the LORD always and always remind ourselves to rejoice in the LORD.
