Summary: God anoints those that are submitted to His will and whatever they build in their lifetime, looks like God’s Kingdom. He always anoints His kings. We are His kings and represent His Kingdom on earth during our lifetime.

The Kingdom Anointing

God has an agenda for the earth and it is a Kingdom agenda. God wants to take what is in heaven and release it on the earth and He does this through anointed men and women.

God anoints those that are submitted to His will and whatever they build in their lifetime, looks like God’s Kingdom. He always anoints His kings. We are His kings and represent His Kingdom on earth during our lifetime. When God saves you and places His Spirit within you, He does not see you as a failure or someone who is not complete. When He sees you, He sees a king and this includes both genders. We are His kings and He sees us as co-rulers with Him and in order for us to fulfill our duties as members of the royal household, He anoints us. We cannot have a Kingdom mindset or rule without the anointing.

Throughout history, God has always anointed the Kings that He appointed in their season. The Bible tells us that God anointed Saul and then he became a king. The same applied to others like David, Solomon, and many more. They became king over God’s interests on the earth for their generation.

These kings not only ruled over an earthly kingdom, but they ruled over the things that belonged to God such as God’s people and God’s Law. We cannot fulfill our kingly responsibilities without the anointing of God. Even the King of kings, Jesus, was anointed by God when He was on earth. He did not preach the message of the Kingdom before he was anointed.

Acts 10:38 - How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

God does not only anoint the pastors of the church, but also anoints all His children because each and every one of us has a purpose to fulfill for Him. We cannot do this in our own power. We achieve so much more when we function in His power.

Isaiah 45 gives us a clear picture of our Kingdom assignment and shows us how God works through us. When a child is born to parents, there is a purpose for that child. They are born in that time and God has a purpose for that season. We are here to build God’s Kingdom and He uses people who are alive in that particular season.

Isaiah 45:1-2 - Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held- To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut. 'I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron.

This is how God speaks to us. He says “Thus says the Lord to His anointed, Cyrus.” Cyrus was alive at that time in history and God had something for him to do. This is how God will address you “Thus says the Lord to His anointed, …..” Go ahead and put your name in this blank space. All Spirit-filled believers are anointed and He has something to say to every one of us because He has something for each of us to do.

We have to change our view of how God sees us and addresses us. We tend to walk in condemnation and guilt and cannot achieve much for God because we feel that we are not worthy.

God called Cyrus by name. God knows your name because your name is known to Him and it is important to Him. Do not allow anyone to despise your name or to call you by other names. Make sure they call you by the name God calls you. People will give you names because they want to limit you or control you. There are those who may mock your name and that attitude comes from the enemy, because your name means something to God.

The name “Cyrus” meant something. He was anointed by God in His season so that he could perform supernatural deeds for the Kingdom of God.

Here are some secrets from Isaiah 45.

1. God anoints kings for the nations

Isaiah 45:1 - Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held- To subdue nations before him….

God cannot use us for the nations if we do not love the nations. That means all nations and even the nations we do not like. Yes, even the nations who come across our borders looking for better prospects in our country. Do not persecute or despise them, because God may have sent them to you so that you can equip them and disciple them. After that, you will be able to release them back into their own nations to preach the Kingdom message of love and hope. I meet so many Christian leaders who bemoan the fact that people of other ethnic groups are “invading” their church. May God open our eyes before it is too late!

When I planted my first church in Johannesburg, South Africa, the first people God sent to my church were people of all different nationalities. Quite frankly, I did not know what to do or how to minister to them. I went to the Lord and He told me to teach them to be leaders. God also told me to use them in my top leadership. I obeyed God and I have not regretted doing this because God has opened up the nations to me. We cannot do the work of the Kingdom if we do not love people.

We cannot be selective by loving some nations and rejecting others. We are not called to advance earthly kingdoms. We are anointed as kings for His Kingdom and we are called to advance His Kingdom agenda so that the nations can be blessed.

The anointing on our lives is an anointing that extends to every nation on earth.

2. God anoints kings for supernatural finances

Isaiah 45:3 - I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.

When we are obedient to our specific call, God will release specific finances. God has called us for supernatural things and He has supernatural finances for the task. When God anointed Cyrus, He anointed his finances. Where will these finances come from? They are hidden in secret places and only God knows where they are. Stop looking to people as your source. Make God your Source.

We are called for big things that require huge resources. When we pursue our purpose, we are fulfilling God’s plan for His Kingdom and He will provide our needs. Just as a large project requires large finances, so do our individual purposes require supernatural finances.

God sets you up for great and mighty blessings that come through you pursuing that purpose and it involves huge finances. God looks at your life and says “before I release your destiny through revelation, know and understand that I first provided the resources for the journey you are about to take.”

Your purpose will have everything to do with building God’s Kingdom and not your own kingdom. There are only two kingdoms and anything that does not build His Kingdom benefits Satan’s kingdom. Your purpose is to benefit God’s Kingdom.

Genesis 15:5 - Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."

Abraham sat inside his tent and what he saw inside of that tent, became the size and extent of his vision. He could not see further than the sides and the roof of his tent. God had to bring him outside of his tent so that he could really have an idea of the size of the vision God had for him.

God showed him the stars in order to give him an idea what his purpose would entail. God does not want us to be misinformed and that is why He shows us pictures.

That is the way God communicated His heart to Abraham thousands of years ago by showing him the stars in the heavens. God illustrated how enormous one person’s calling can be. God can do the same for you and me. But we must be prepared to step out of the place that limits our vision.

It’s time for each and every one of us to step out of our limitations so that our eyes can be enlightened and see the big things God has prepared for us especially in these last days.

3. God anoints kings for a relationship

Isaiah 45:4 - For Jacob My servant's sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.

God is a very personal God and is concerned with the well-being of every individual. God knew you even before you came to know Him.

God built up a close relationship with Jacob even though he did not always walk fully in the ways of God. However, God knew that a mighty nation would be birthed from the life of Jacob.

4. God anoints kings for a purpose

Isaiah 45:5-7 - I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting That there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.

The Bible tells us that the steps of a good man or good woman are ordered by the Lord. God orchestrates and anoints the steps of His kings. Yes, there are times when we do not know where we are going as we follow God’s plans. Be careful not to plan your future steps in too much detail and be ready for God to change your steps.

God will always take you to a good place. To you, it may not seem like the right place and you may ask God why He has taken you to the church where you are at or you may wonder why you are in the job you are doing now, but anointed kings will always go to the right place. The journey may not always be great, but the destination will be right for you. We must walk by faith and be led by His Spirit.

In order for you be successful, you will have to work with God. Cooperate with the Holy Spirit. Never process things in your head, because the Spirit-brain resides in your Spirit-man and not in your head. If you process things in the flesh-brain, your journey with God will not make any sense at all and you will tend to change course.

Work with God and learn the lesson from Jonah. God ordered his steps to Nineveh, but Jonah bought a ticket and ordered his own steps in the opposite direction and eventually his steps took him into the smelly belly of a large fish. The devil will always take you to a place where it smells bad. When he realized his mistake he called out to God and was given a second chance.

The phrase “first time right” is used by big business and this should apply to God’s business as well.

God has anointed you for a purpose. He has taken you through this tremendous journey of ups and downs. David said the following:

Psalm 23:4 - Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

What is God’s rod and staff? It is the presence, power, and influence of the Holy Spirit. You cannot reach the right place without going through struggles and obstacles. So many Christians lose their purpose in the darkest moments of their lives. Do not stop walking because your breakthrough is just beyond the valley of the shadow of death!

5. God anoints kings for revival

Isaiah 45:8 - Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord, have created it.

This generation is going to witness the greatest revival in history. Be ready for it. We are anointed for this revival. The glory of God is going to cover the earth and God is going to use His kings to take the glory to the nations. We are the seed of salvation which will be sown into the nations in the coming days. We are born for it, we are kept alive for it, and we are anointed for it.

6. God anoints kings for submission

Isaiah 45:9-10 - "Woe to him who strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him who forms it, 'What are you making?' Or shall your handiwork say, 'He has no hands'? Woe to him who says to his father, 'What are you begetting?' Or to the woman, 'What have you brought forth?' "

Failure is an option. Our choices determine our final destination. We cannot have authority unless we are under authority.

The church is the institution that God has designed for us as a vehicle that will take us into the future.

In order to fulfill your purpose, you must be submitted to God’s earthly leaders. Most Christians fall away because they say that they are in submission to God, but they are not submitted under the authority of the church leadership. When strife comes into the church, they no longer trust their leaders and listen to those who having risen up in rebellion to the pastor.

God is calling His church to submit to their leaders. In these last days, God is going to give His leaders supernatural strategy and if you are not under submission, you will miss your part in God’s plan. It is as simple as that. That is the way God works and I have never seen Him work in any other way.

When you are under submission, God will make you part of His great plan. That is why we cannot do church outside of the church. You cannot do church in front of a television screen because God anoints men and women to lead God’s people so that they can fulfill their Godly assignments.

You cannot be a king if you not under submission to earthly kings.

There is one vision in the house and when believers come into the house with their own vision, they bring confusion and division.

The vision of the local church cannot be successful unless the people are in submission.

7. God anoints kings for new assignments

Isaiah 45:14-15 – Thus says the Lord: “The labor of Egypt and merchandise of Cush And of the Sabeans, men of stature, Shall come over to you, and they shall be yours; They shall walk behind you, They shall come over in chains; And they shall bow down to you.

They will make supplication to you, saying, ‘Surely God is in you, And there is no other; There is no other God.’ “ Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior!

Be ready for a new assignment from God. There are many examples in the Bible of people that God used for a specific task. They completed it, and God gave them a new assignment. For example, when Elijah completed his assignment on Mount Carmel, God told him that his new assignment was to prepare Elisha for ministry.

That could mean that God may move you to another ministry when your time is up. But be sure that it is God that is directing you and when you move, make sure you are released and that your leaders are in agreement with you. When you move on, ensure that you stay under submission to your next spiritual leaders.

Do not move when you are offended, because that is not God’s voice, but the voice of the enemy who wants to send you into a spiritual wilderness.

In order to successfully fulfill your Godly assignment, you need to be in the right place for it. New seasons come and God opens new doors.

8. God anoints kings for salvation

Isaiah 45:22 - "Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”

Our assignment is to the ends of the earth. We are carriers of the Good News and the anointing on our lives will connect us with the right nations.

9. God anoints kings for the next generation

Isaiah 45:25 - In the Lord all the descendants of Israel Shall be justified, and shall glory.

When you understand that God has anointed you as a king and you follow Him obediently, you will not have to worry about your children because God will protect them and ensure that the anointing that is on your life will flow onto them.

Do not worry about your children. They are in good hands and will fulfill the work that you have begun. That is God’s promise. As you fulfill your purpose, God will prepare the next generation for their assignment. That is how God works with families and nations.

Perhaps they are not in a spiritual place where you would want them to be right now, but be assured that when you look after God’s house He will look after your house. When you follow the Kings agenda day by day, everything will work out well. God has anointed you as a king.

Here is a prophetic Word for your life

“God has anointed you for something great. Do not take your eyes off of what God has called you to do and do not allow the devil to distract you. Present yourself to the King every day and follow His daily plan for your life. When you make Him the number one priority each and every day, then everything else will fall into place. You only have to put one thing in place and everything else will fall into place.

You will not have to work hard to make things work out. All you have to do is to make yourself available and things will work out for you. Do not worry about your business, because your business will take care of itself.

You will not have to do marketing for your business because you will be flooded with business. You will not have to advance your career, because God will promote you even though you do not have the skills and the knowledge, because your King is the God of all knowledge. God will give you secrets that others in business do not know and when you speak those secrets, the words that come from foolish lips will confound the wise. I will give you favor and position you in this season.”

Do not miss your destiny. Pursue God and see how God will bless you in this new season of your life.” – Dr Jeff
