VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Nevermore be necessary for one to teach, "Know the LORD"

"And it will nevermore be necessary for each one to teach his neighbor and his fellow citizen or each one his brother, saying, Know (perceive, have knowledge of, and get acquainted by experience with) the Lord,"

In Greek, it was rendered, "they shall not" considered as a double negative strengthening the denial, not at all, anymore, by no means, nor ever, never. Teach is "didasko" in Greek word, meaning to teach, to teach one.

We must never (double negative) teach anyone even our neighbors, or our brethren in church, "Know the LORD!" It's forbidden by GOD, because of the double negative that is attached with teaching of knowing the LORD.

The Bible mentioned "to teach" or didasko in Greek about 97 times, and it's always teaching GOD's WORD, not teaching "Know the LORD" for it's already an obvious practice during the Old Testament or Old Covenant, and we are no longer part or covered, or governed by the Old Testament but we're living sacrifices of the New Testament.

Even JESUS Himself never taught people in synagogues to know Him, He taught differently.

Matthew 4:23 (Amplified Bible)

4:23 And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.

1. JESUS taught them how to pray:

Luke 11:1 (Amplified Bible)

11:1 THEN HE was praying in a certain place; and when He stopped, one of His disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray, [just] as John taught his disciples.

2. JESUS taught them about His suffering, death, crucifixion and His resurrection:

Mark 8:31 (Amplified Bible)

8:31 And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must of necessity suffer many things and be tested and disapproved and rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be put to death, and after three days rise again [from death].

3. JESUS taught about the HOLY SPIRIT:

Luke 12:12 (Amplified Bible)

12:12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour and moment what [you] ought to say.

John 14:26 (Amplified Bible)

14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

The disciples taught the people these things:

1. What JESUS had done and what JESUS had taught, and they taught in JESUS' Name:

Acts 1:1 (Amplified Bible)

1:1 IN THE former account [which I prepared], O Theophilus, I made [a continuous report] dealing with all the things which Jesus began to do and to teach

Acts 4:18 (Amplified Bible)

4:18 [So] they summoned them and imperatively instructed them not to converse in any way or teach at all in or about the name of Jesus.

Acts 5:28 (Amplified Bible)

5:28 Saying, We definitely commanded and strictly charged you not to teach in or about this Name; yet here you have flooded Jerusalem with your doctrine and you intend to bring this Man’s blood upon us.

2. They taught JESUS is the CHRIST:

Acts 5:42 (Amplified Bible)

5:42 Yet [in spite of the threats] they never ceased for a single day, both in the temple area and at home, to teach and to proclaim the good news (Gospel) of Jesus [as] the Christ (the Messiah).

3. Apostle Paul taught the people his way of life in CHRIST: He instructed Timothy to teach in churches 3 things, (a) methods of proceeding, (b) course of conduct, and (c) way of life all three are all in CHRIST.

1 Corinthians 4:17 (Amplified Bible)

4:17 For this very cause I sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved and trustworthy child in the Lord, who will recall to your minds my methods of proceeding and course of conduct and way of life in Christ, such as I teach everywhere in each of the churches.

4. When they're teaching, they're teaching a doctrine:

1 Timothy 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

1:3 As I urged you when I was on my way to Macedonia, stay on where you are at Ephesus in order that you may warn and admonish and charge certain individuals not to teach any different doctrine,

Acts 5:28 (Amplified Bible)

5:28 Saying, We definitely commanded and strictly charged you not to teach in or about this Name; yet here you have flooded Jerusalem with your doctrine and you intend to bring this Man’s blood upon us.

5. They taught men not to have long hair

1 Corinthians 11:14 (Amplified Bible)

11:14 Does not the native sense of propriety (experience, common sense, reason) itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is a dishonor [humiliating and degrading] to him,

6. Paul taught Timothy to teach these things: (1 Timothy 4:11)

a. receive everything with thanksgiving

1 Timothy 4:4 (Amplified Bible)

4:4 For everything God has created is good, and nothing is to be thrown away or refused if it is received with thanksgiving.

b. nourish yourself in the truths of GOD NOT in tongues:

1 Timothy 4:6 (Amplified Bible)

4:6 If you lay all these instructions before the brethren, you will be a worthy steward and a good minister of Christ Jesus, ever nourishing your own self on the truths of the faith and of the good [Christian] instruction which you have closely followed.

c. refuse and avoid irrelevant legends and godless fictions

1 Timothy 4:7 (Amplified Bible)

4:7 But refuse and avoid irreverent legends (profane and impure and godless fictions, mere grandmothers’ tales) and silly myths, and express your disapproval of them. Train yourself toward godliness (piety), [keeping yourself spiritually fit].

d. spiritual training outweighs physical training on all points

1 Timothy 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

4:8 For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.

e. fix your hope in JESUS CHRIST, toil and strive for it (work hard for it)

1 Timothy 4:10 (Amplified Bible)

4:10 With a view to this we toil and strive, [yes and] suffer reproach, because we have [fixed our] hope on the living God, Who is the Savior (Preserver, Maintainer, Deliverer) of all men, especially of those who believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to Him).

B. For all will know Me, from the smallest to the greatest of them

"for all will know Me, from the smallest to the greatest of them"

Least or smallest came from the Greek word: "mikros / mikroteros" meaning:

a. small, little - of size: hence of stature, of length

b. of age: less by birth, younger

c. of time: short, brief, a little while, how little

d. of quantity: i.e. number, amount

e. of rank or influence

Greatest came from the Greek word: "megas" meaning:

a. great: of the external form or sensible appearance of things (or of persons)

b. in particular, of space and its dimensions, as respects

c. of number and quantity: numerous, large, abundant

d. of age: the elder

e. used of intensity and its degrees: with great effort, of the affections and emotions of the mind, of natural events powerfully affecting the senses: violent, mighty, strong

f. predicated of rank, as belonging to

g. splendid, prepared on a grand scale, stately

h. great things

The knowledge of JESUS is across the board, all people will know JESUS.

Isaiah 54:13 (Amplified Bible)

54:13 And all your [spiritual] children shall be disciples [taught by the Lord and obedient to His will], and great shall be the peace and undisturbed composure of your children.

Jeremiah 24:7 (Amplified Bible)

24:7 And I will give them a heart to know (recognize, understand, and be acquainted with) Me, that I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.

Habakkuk 2:14 (Amplified Bible)

2:14 But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Isaiah 11:9 (Amplified Bible)

11:9 They shall not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Thank You very much JESUS for Your WORD keeps me growing and for the HOLY SPIRIT who is my Teacher that reminds me.

John 14:26 (The Message)

14:26 The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you.
