9:5 Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.

VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Above the ark and overshadowing the mercy seat, are cherubims of Glory
"Above [the ark] and overshadowing the mercy seat were the representations of the cherubim [winged creatures which were the symbols] of glory."
Exodus 37:6-9 (Amplified Bible)
37:6 [Bezalel] made the mercy seat of pure gold, two cubits and a half its length and one cubit and a half its breadth.
37:7 And he made two cherubim of beaten gold; on the two ends of the mercy seat he made them,
37:8 One cherub at one end and one at the other end; of one piece with the mercy seat he made the cherubim at its two ends.
37:9 And the cherubim spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces to each other, looking down to the mercy seat.

It was a design made from Heaven, the patter showed to Moses in Heaven, was copied exactly as it is. These two cherubims represents GOD's throne, where GOD is seated between these two cherubims. Cherubims came from the Greek word: "cheroubim" meaning cherubs or kerubim which are a figure composed of various creatures, as a man, an ox, an eagle or lion.

3:24 So [God] drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the Garden of Eden the cherubim and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep and guard the way to the tree of life.
Ark of the covenant represents GOD overlooking the three major rebellions of man: (1) Aaron's rod that budded - represents man rebelling against GOD's instituted authority, (2) Ten Commandments - representing man's rebellion against GOD's laws, and (3) gold jar of manna - representing man's rebellion against GOD's provisions. GOD overlooked all of them because of JESUS.

The three major reasons why they can't go into detail regarding the things in the Tabernacle are: because of space and time, we cannot understand and lived it for now, and they are difficult to understand

The things of the tabernacle are there to remind us of CHRIST, as Center of the Universe.
