Summary: Jesus had taught us the principle of prosperity in the Bible, a path that leads to blessings.

THE PRINCIPLE OF PROPEROUS LIFE

First of all we have to ask ourselves a question , can we live in the prosperous life? YES WE CAN!!

Before we start this afternoon, let us start with the background of this sermon first.

When our ancestors Adam and Eve committed their first sin, it opened up a gate for sin, and this gate allowed sin to enter this world. The consequences of sin are sicknesses, poverty, death that come to the man in this world. But the God that created us is an omniscient God, He knows all things, He had prepared a perfect plan of salvation for the consequences of sins, and the core and key of this plan is Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Lord that reigns death and hades. He declared, “I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” (Rev 1:18), without the permission of Jesus, no virus, sin, and terror could hurt you; without His permission, no storms, flood, beast, or any power could harm you. Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. (Rev 3:7) Jesus holds the key to every gates.

John 10:9

9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

The power of the evil and men could not close the gate that He had opened. It means even if the whole of hell come together to open the gate that He had closed, it would end up to be no avail. Today the key is no longer on the hands of the devil, but in the hands of Jesus. This means Jesus has the total sovereignty, He is our Lord. He wants to open up the gate of prosperity, the gate of health, the gate of prison, the gate of resurrection, then He wants to close up the gate of poverty, the gate of sicknesses, the gate of curses and the gate of death. Hallelujah!

So brothers and sisters, let me tell you this, you will surely be blessed. You can live a prosperous life. Hallelujah.

Jesus had taught us the principle of prosperity in the Bible, a path that leads to blessings. Today I want to share the revelations that God had given to me. Jesus had already opened the gate for us, we fit the terms and conditions of this blessing, what is next is, through this gate, we will receive the prosperity and blessings that our Heavenly Father had prepared for us.

Amen? Let us look at the first principle of a prosperous life

1. Obey the will of God

Abraham obeyed the will of God, when God called him to leave his homeland “Ur”, he chose to obey the will of God. What was God’s response when he did this? Let us look at

Genesis 12:1-3

12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

2

“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

3

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

The problem now is, how do we know what is the will of God?

Jeremiah 33:3

3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know

* *We have to pray to God. How long did you pray? Once a week or once a day? How long did your prayer last? 5 minutes? 10 minutes?

* Let us do an experiment! Let us all shout at the same time, Lord!!!

* Let me tell you this, there are millions of people praying to God everyday. Why must God listen to your prayer first? Why must God hear your voice first, why not mine? This is a question that we should really ponder about.

* So brothers and sisters, if we only pray for the sake of praying or just because it’s a religious ritual, I want to tell you this, this kind of prayer will not move God. You know when our church prays, we pray really loud, it doesn’t mean that we are more hungry when we proud louder, softer means not so hungry, but I believe that those who pray loud are hardly not hungry. Why did the Korean churches experience such great revival? Why are their brothers and sisters so greatly blessed? The greatest key is they are hungry and longing for God. How do I know? Because I can see that from the attitude they pray.

* *Demonstrate their prayer!

* Their members come to church since 4am in the morning for prayer meeting. Many of them are multi-millionaires, CEO, and they come to church at 4am in the morning. So brothers and sisters, the first principle of prosperity is to pray according to the will of God. In other words, your prayer have to be in the will of God, then your prayer will be very powerful. Because God could not ignore this type of prayer. Amen! Because in 1 John 5:14-15 it tell us that,

1 John 5:14-15

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

My second point is

2. Remember God in every little thing

Genesis 12:6-7

6 Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. 7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

In this scripture we can see that Abraham is a man that is always building the altar and praying. Right here he built an altar to remember God, remember what? He remembers how God had blessed him. He remembers that God had given him a piece of land. So the second principle of prosperity is, to remember God in every little thing. Maybe praying is a small matter to us, reading the bible is a small matter, helping the others, preaching the gospel is a small matter, then what is a “great matter” to us? The answer is: our problems. The problems that we are facing are the great matter to us, but guess what, our “great matter”is only a “small matter” in God’s eyes, on the opposite, what we thought to be a small matter is a great matter in God’s eyes. Let’s look at a scripture.

Matthew 10:42

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. KJV

We see a Jesus made a parable here, when we give a drink to a little on, what did Jesus say? Jesus said he shall in no wise lose his reward. This means Jesus remembers the little thing that he did. This parable tells us that God’s value system is different from ours. What we thought to be a small matter is great to God, but our “great matter” may just be a little matter to God.

So brothers and sisters, we have to understand the second principle of prosperity, we have to learn from Abraham, to remember God in every little thing. To remember all good things that He had done in our lives through thanksgiving and praise.

My Testimony: If you’re willing to remember God in every little thing, God will tell you, I will also remember you in every little thing, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know

So God tells us that whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much. Hallelujah! Tell your neighbor that remember God in every little thing.

3. Pray in Jesus’ name

The last principle is what pastor told us last week, to pray in Jesus’ name. Praying inJesus’ name is full of power.

Genesis 12:8

8 From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.

I remember last week pastor gave us some names of the Lord to help us to pray. The name of the Lord reveals His nature. Let us do an experiment:

Experiment: Hi brother, you look really handsome! How do you feel? Ok let me praise you in another way, wow your eyes are beautiful, they are full of energy, wow your sharp nose looks like tom cruise. Wow you full lips are really sexy, you are so handsome! How do you feel now compared to just now?

So brothers and sisters, it is the same when we pray in Jesus’ name, we have to know more about Jesus, we know Him through His names. Do you need healing? HE IS JEHOVAH RAPHAEL,YOUR HEALER, you have needs?HE IS JEHOVAH JIREH , YOUR PROVIDER,you are being treated unfairly? HE IS JEHOVAH TSIDKENU, YOUR RIGHTENOUS, you are in poverty? HE IS YOUR JEHOVAH M'Kaddesh - the Lord our Sanctifier.

So I want to encourage all of you to do the same. Abraham built an altar to declare the name of God. Today we no longer have to do so, what we have to do now is to open our mouth and declare the name of the Lord, because the bible says everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Hallelujah!!!

Conclusion:

Brothers and sisters, I understand that we all have our problems and obstacles. Maybe I can’t understand about your problems, maybe you will tell me, pastor it seems easy when you talk about it, but you do not understand how big is the problem that I’m facing right now, I can’t do anything. IT SEEMS LIKE THERE’S NO WAY OUT! Do you really think I can still experience the prosperity of God? I want to tell you in the name of Jesus, YES YOU CAN. Why? First, because this is the promise of God, second, because our God is a God that turns nothing into something, His name is Elohim. Third, because our God plans to prosper us not to harm us. Hallelujah!!!

Even if you’re facing a mountain in front of you now, I tell you, you can have the mountain in the name of jesus, with your mountain moving faith.

Brothers and sisters, the reason why I tell you there principles are not only so that you could be blessed, I pray that you will experience the unreasonable blessings of God, it is far greater than the blessings that are reasonable.
