VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. There is a testament
"For where there is a testament,"
Testament or "diatheke" in Greek word, meaning:
1) a disposition, arrangement, of any sort, which one wishes to be valid, the last disposition which one makes of his earthly possessions after his death, a testament or will
2) a compact, a covenant, a testament
GOD wrote a contract between GOD and Man, and the necessity of death of the testator who is the LORD JESUS CHRIST took care of the dying part.

26:28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which [ratifies the agreement and] is being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST sets out this new testament or new covenant with us, also strengthened, made us what we ought to be and equip us with everything good that we may carry out His will.
B. Death of the testator is a necessity
"there must also of necessity be the death of the testator"
Testator or "diatithemai" in Greek word, means:
1) to arrange, dispose of, one’s own affairs
2) to make a covenant, enter into a covenant, with one
The LORD JESUS CHRIST Himself made this new covenant with the house of Israel after those days (old covenant days) so He is the Maker or testator.
Hebrews 8:10 (Amplified Bible)
8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
The FATHER appointed a kingdom to JESUS, now JESUS confers or is the testator of this kingdom for us.
Luke 22:29 (Amplified Bible)
22:29 And as My Father has appointed a kingdom and conferred it on Me, so do I confer on you [the privilege and decree],
The LORD JESUS CHRIST set up and concluded with us a new testament, agreement or covenant so the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the Testator.
Hebrews 10:16 (Amplified Bible)
10:16 This is the agreement (testament, covenant) that I will set up and conclude with them after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their hearts, and I will inscribe them on their minds (on their inmost thoughts and understanding),
It would have been enough that the LORD JESUS CHRIST died on the cross, it was a necessity for the testator and it established the new testament to be effective, yet after 3 days He rose again from the dead and seated at the right hand of GOD with us.
