For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

But in the middle of these high achievers he list 3 families that did do anything significant did not defeat armies and lions defeat giants yet god say they deserve to be in my hall of fame and have heroes status in the kingdom of god even though they never lifted a sword or fought a battle
Only one reason because they saved their families

The first thing that God established was not the church but it was family it was the home, when God made a man he said it is not good for a man to be alone so he made him a eve and here is the first family on earth

8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
The devil came to the first home that first family and attacked with deception when he was through with family they were destroyed and full of fear and begin to fight and Cain killed able. That is what the devil wants to do to every home, his desire is to destroy and confuse that home and bring fear into that home and get the kids on drugs and alcohol and destroy the home
Satan knows if he can destroy the family unit he can destroy the moral fibre of society.
John 2 – wedding feast 2 Jesus also was invited with His disciples to the wedding.
Jesus performed his first miracle at the marriage feast to say to the devil you destroyed the first family and I am going to restore the family

1 cor 11:3 But I want you to know and realize that Christ is the Head of every man, the head of a woman is her husband, and the Head of Christ is God.
God put the most emphasis on the husband
o God wants strong men, he want men to involved in the home
o God made man the head, God is going to hold the man responsible what does it mean
o He has to guard and be in charge in the home

Noah Followed God’s Instructions God gave Noah specific, defined directions on how to build the ark. He knew that Noah didn’t know how to build it. God told him to build it 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and three stories high. Genesis 6:22 says, “Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him,so did he.” Now if Noah had built it 250 feet long and four stories high, it would have capsized.

Noah’s boat was not the most beautiful thing to ride around in. The ark was made of gopher wood. It was basically a floating barge. It was huge, rectangular and

1. From the man
a. God did not allow Adam to stay alone he would only have known self-centeredness and he would never really be like God.

a. Real accountability only come when you can become naked, transparent and intimate it involves what you want to show what is happening with you, allot of marriage have been infected because of lack of intimacy

b. Think about what things have been said – the root of every issue is something said
c. We understand that words are seeds – everything started with word “In the beginning was the word” if God started with words then Satan would come and pervert the use of words
d. It so important to what is said – we say things we will be surprised to what we say stick around
e. Great relationships are not great relationships because people aren’t talking but rather on what is said we have to say.
f. Men need to start saying some things not just assume.
g. Satan parallels the system of God.
Honour \ words
Men you can never tell your wife she is beautiful and glad you are my wife. People never get tired of hearing how much you love them and proud of them.
How many relationships can be saved, how many marriages could have been saved.

o Get you reason because there is doubt in reasoning. There is a battle to say God is right or doubt.

This is what you can expect:
• It is set in reason: have to give you something to reason on that is why we have to settle that the word is the final authority.
• That is why walk by faith not by what we feel.
• Make contact with desires and feelings to move to reason against what was clear that god said before feeling got involved.

• People that start reasoning the holiness of marriage and family, you think that God did not tell me to marry him or her \ I was never really in love and you get a lot of reasons and the contradictions.

God told Noah to put the pitch that seals the boat on the outside and on the inside. It’s harder to put pitch on the inside because you have to get down in the belly of that boat
• A father is a protector.

• A father can’t just be present, he must be engaged in the lives of his children.
• Fathers must spend quality time with their sons and daughters, and set a godly example.

Rahab the prostitute – the bible said Joshua sent 2 spies and they were in danger and they hid in her house and she made a deal I will hide you if I can be saved and my family can be saved so when judgment comes to the evil city that they will saved.
a. I can’t save them but if I can get them into the house the will be saved

acts 16:31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
iii. People were sleeping everywhere sometimes it is not comfortable or convenient to serve god.
1. Sometimes the bed is comfortable and don’t feel like getting up and taking you family to church
2. Sometimes it is not convenient bring you family to church
iv. God said she is a family hero because you understand getting you family into church, when there is destruction coming to homes and family are being destroyed there is one thing that you can do to be a hero to your family and to God to keep you family in the house
1. Don’t allow your children permission to go to church you take them to church
b. Your kids will go through things but if you brought them to the house of God the will not get away from it.
provebs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it.
a. There is power in church sometimes it is hard they sleepy don’t send them bring them.
i. You need to see yourself as God sees you when you bring your family to church you are a hero.
Moses parents
By not be afraid to hide their son. Because the hid the child
They were not intimidated by what other parent allow their children to do. They hid their child and not afraid and intimidated by what other parents do

Innocence is a precious thing in a child; as long as you can there is wisdom to hide your child
