A. Sympathizing with Paul, the prisoner of CHRIST
"For you did sympathize and suffer along with those who were imprisoned,"

We sympathize with Paul and other prisoners as all major churches I've seen have prison ministry as well. But we don't forget that the WORD of GOD cannot be imprisoned.

2:9 For that [Gospel] I am suffering affliction and even wearing chains like a criminal. But the Word of God is not chained or imprisoned!

The LORD prepared a place for us far better than the riches of this world. Unbelievers can't just say "he has gone into a better place" when this promise is made to the believers, to those who accepted the LORD JESUS CHRIST as LORD, MASTER and SAVIOR.

14:2 In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.
14:3 And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.
