Summary: A study of chapter 13 verses 11 through 18

Revelation 13: 11 – 18

What’s My Line?

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

When I was a kid there was this program called ‘What’s My Line?’ There was a host and a panel of three people. A person would walk on stage and write their name on a chalk board. The panel then asked questions of the individual to figure out what the person did. In our last study we played the game of ‘clue’ to see what our Bibles revealed about who the Antichrist is. Today we are going to play the game ‘What’s my line?’ to determine who the Prophet is.

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth

The Antichrist came up out of the ‘sea’. This beast which is the False Prophet comes up out of the earth. In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 23 we find this verse, “that on you may come all the righteous bloodshed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.”

Please notice the word used in this verse which is ‘earth’. The man Zechariah was slain in Jerusalem which is in Israel. In the New Testament "the earth" denotes the land of Israel.

So, we can write out the first portion of verse 11 to read “11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the land of Israel.”

and he had two horns like a lamb

I notice two things here – horns and lamb. First of all let us look at the significance of ‘a lamb’. The ‘Lamb’ has been from the book of Genesis a reference to the sacrificial system of Israel. Our Lord remarked about the life in the blood. We are saved by the Precious Blood of the Lamb of God. Therefore the listing by John that the False Prophet had the two horns of a lamb refers to Israel.

We are looking at the description of the False Prophet correct. I find it interesting that the prophets of old were the ones who offered a lamb for a sacrifice. We read for example in the book of Exodus chapter 20 this regarding God’s instruction to the prophet Moses, “An altar of earth you shall make for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you.”

This False Prophet is going to cause everyone on earth to worship the Image of the Beast. If someone refuses, then The False Prophet will offer these individual’s lives for his worship of the Beast.

Now what about the ‘two horns’? In our studies so far we have seen that horns can equal a nation. Here we have two ‘little horns’ so we have two leaders or nations that are involved.

As you know those who rule over others use the bullying tactic through strength [might] and power. We see in the book of Zechariah chapter 4 , “So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts,” So these two horns can equal two of the main characteristics of this False Prophet. This third person of the unholy trinity will have the power and legal might of the dragon to do his evil work.

God’s prophets are guided by our Precious Holy Spirit while earthly prophets count on their own actions and plans.

We will find out that this False Prophet imitates the prophet Elijah. So, I find this passage very interesting in the book of 1st Kings chapter 22 during Elijah’s ministry we see another prophet introduced by our Precious Holy Spirit. “1 Now three years passed without war between Syria and Israel. 2 Then it came to pass, in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went down to visit the king of Israel. 3 And the king of Israel said to his servants, “Do you know that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, but we hesitate to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?” 4 So he said to Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to fight at Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.” 5 Also Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire for the word of the LORD today.” 6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, “Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?” So they said, “Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.” 7 And Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not still a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of Him?” 8 So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say such things!” 9 Then the king of Israel called an officer and said, “Bring Micaiah the son of Imlah quickly!” 10 The king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, having put on their robes, sat each on his throne, at a threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them. 11 Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made horns of iron for himself; and he said, “Thus says the LORD: ‘With these you shall gore the Syrians until they are destroyed.’ ” 12 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, “Go up to Ramoth Gilead and prosper, for the LORD will deliver it into the king’s hand.” 13 Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Please, let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement.” 14 And Micaiah said, “As the LORD lives, whatever the LORD says to me, that I will speak.” 15 Then he came to the king; and the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall we refrain?” And he answered him, “Go and prosper, for the LORD will deliver it into the hand of the king!” 16 So the king said to him, “How many times shall I make you swear that you tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?” 17 Then he said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said, ‘These have no master. Let each return to his house in peace.’ ” 18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?” 19 Then Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. 20 And the LORD said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. 21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ 22 The LORD said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the LORD said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’ 23 Therefore look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against you.” 24 Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “Which way did the spirit from the LORD go from me to speak to you?” 25 And Micaiah said, “Indeed, you shall see on that day when you go into an inner chamber to hide!” 26 So the king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah, and return him to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son; 27 and say, ‘Thus says the king: “Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I come in peace.” ’ ” 28 But Micaiah said, “If you ever return in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me.” And he said, “Take heed, all you people!”

Now why does this passage stick out to me? After bringing Israelites into the ‘Promised Land’ they were 1 nation. Because of Solomon’s sins the kingdom was split after his death into two. Do you notice that the ‘two’ Jewish kings united together? This false prophet by the name of Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made horns of iron. [Two horns].

Now we fast forward to today’s time period and we see again a united Jewish nation. In 1948 the two horns or two little nations have become one nation called Israel.

and spoke like a dragon.

Our Lord Jesus warned us that we should be aware of deceit. The bible says Satan is a liar and the Father of all lies. Everything he does along with his associates – The Antichrist and The False Prophet- are nothing but lies and deceit.

12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

The reference to fire coming down from heaven specifically points to Elijah as indicated in the book of 1 Kings 18. Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.”.

Thus he will be the imitation prophet Elijah.

14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast

These words parallel Paul’s in 2 Thessalonians 2.9-10, ‘he whose coming is according to the working of Satan, with all powers and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceit of unrighteousness for those who are perishing’.

In chapter 19 we see this person called ‘The False Prophet. “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

It is interesting that John who wrote the book of Revelation listed a key reference to a future prophet as he spoke of our Lord Jesus’ confrontation with religious men.” 31 “If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. 32 There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true. 33 You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth. 34 Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved. 35 He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light. 36 But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. 37 And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. 41 “I do not receive honor from men. 42 But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. 43 I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44 How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Now here is a question for you, ‘what did Moses write our Lord Jesus Christ?’

Moses wrote of A New Prophet Like himself.

“15 “The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, 16 according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’17 “And the LORD said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. 18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

From Moses time the people of Israel were looking for the promised ‘Prophet’.

This truth is brought out when John the Baptist was confronted by the religious men in chapter 1 of John’s Gospel, “19 Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” 20 He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” 21 And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” 22 Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” 23 He said: “I am The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the LORD,” ’as the prophet Isaiah said.” 24 Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”26 John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know. 27 It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.” 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 21 we see that the people of Israel recognized that our Lord Jesus was that promised ‘Prophet’, “So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.” Also in John’s Gospel the people testified, “Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

So we see here the people waiting for Elijah and The Prophet like Moses. Today Jews celebrate Passover and they leave a vacant chair waiting for Elijah to show up.

Has the prophet Elijah come back yet? Now here is a neat point made by our Lord Jesus in Matthew’s Gospel chapter 17, “1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. 9 Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.” 10 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” 11 Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. 12 But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them of John the Baptist.

Do you see the significance of what our Lord has just said. Elijah has already come. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the promised ‘Prophet’ yet the religious leaders and unbelievers will not believe that He Is The Promised Prophet nor will they believe that Elijah has already come back. And then for the bomb shell – ‘43 I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.

Another prophet will come in his own name and the people will receive this false prophet who comes as an imitation Elijah.

telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

First I want to say something about this statement, “telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.” Please note again from verse three that the Antichrist did not die, his head was wounded. – “. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed.”. We will talk in more detail regarding the head wound when we look at chapter 17.

Now what about this image of the Beast? What is this all about? Remember in our previous study that we saw in Scripture how Satan is a ‘copy cat’. Right from the beginning he has been observing what our Great and Holy El Shaddai, Almighty God, Has been doing. We know from chapter 1, “26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

As you know from the book of Exodus chapter 20 our Holy Father, Adoni Yahweh instructed in His first four Commandments, how we are to respect Him. “1 And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 “You shall have no other gods before Me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. 7 “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Besides focusing attention and worship to their god, Satan, The False Prophet and Antichrist blaspheme our Great God. If you stop and look at all four again you will see how they violate all four of our Holy Supreme Ruler’s Commandments.

Now we know from Scripture that only God can give life. When confronted by the plagues Pharaoh’s magicians confessed this as we read in chapter 8 of the book of Exodus, “Now the magicians so worked with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. So there were lice on man and beast. Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the LORD had said.”

The False Prophet through deceit makes this image of the Beast look like it came to life – ‘14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast’ It is this plain and simple explanation.

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

There is no reason to assume that this mark is any more physical than the seal on believers, it rather represents submission to the beast and his claims. To bear the mark of the beast was, to the early church, to have sacrificed to Roma and the emperor. To them this bore a stigma that went beyond any other.

It parodies the mark given to the people of God and the marking with His name as we see in;

Revelation 7.3 “saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

Revelation 14, Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.

Please note that our Holy Father ‘seals’ all believers where? – On their ‘foreheads’. Satan wants the ‘Mark’ placed where? – either on the forehead or on the right hand.

So, first of all let’s see what the significance of the ‘forehead’ means and secondly what is the ‘seal of God?’Now stop and consider what the significance of the ‘forehead’ means? Are you starting to perceive where I am going with this idea? I just gave you a clue, what was it? It was the idea of ‘thinking’. Turn with me to the Gospel of John chapter 3 verse 33. I do not think there is any accident that we are at 333 [Father, Lord Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit].

33 He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. 34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. 35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. 36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Now please look at the book of Ephesians chapter 4, “25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Once you are ‘Born Again’ our Great and Wonderful Holy God gives us The Holy Spirit. He Is God’s Seal. He will stay with us until we die or until our Lord Jesus Christ returns.

Now before we go on let me ask to you know for sure you are ‘sealed’ by the Holy Spirit. If not let us pray right now. This is your prayer. Get on your knees and ask our Lord Jesus to receive this prayer as yours.

Dear Father God I believe in everything the Bible says is true. I know now that You Dear Jesus poured out your blood on the cross and died for me. I know that You arose again from the dead and You are in Heaven. I am sorry for all my sins. I ask Your Forgiveness and accept Your forgiveness due to Your Sacrifice for me. Please come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. As the Song of Songs chapter 8 states, ‘Set me as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm’ Please seal me with Your Holy Spirit which promises me that I am Yours and will be able to live with You for eternity.

Now what about the right hand? Take a look at chapter 10 of Revelation, ‘1 I  saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. 2 He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me,fn “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.” 5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven 6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, 7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets

What do you do when you take an oath? You raise your right hand and swear that you are telling the truth or affirming that you are giving allegiance to something. If a person will decide to take ‘The Beast’s Mark’ in effect he or she is swearing allegiance to the beast.

Through the ages this has always been a way by which despots could control people, by utilizing control of the means of trade and sources of sustenance. The beast continually reveals his beastliness. And when Christians find themselves suffering as a result of such activity they can take comfort in the thought that it is confirmation that they do not bear the ‘mark of the beast’. That any future anti-Christ would apply similar methods goes without saying.

Please remember that because of the natural and supernatural devastations there will be a tremendous shortage of food and other resources. This will then make it easy for The Antichrist and False Prophet to control these actions of people who are still alive.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

If you take some time in the bible you can see the significance of numbers; Since we have been identifying what certain words mean, let us list some things regarding the significance of a certain number;

One - Denotes absolute singleness.

. Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."

Two - Symbolizes witness and support.

o There were two great lights of creation (Genesis 1:16).

o Two cherubim guarded the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25:22).

o Two witnesses establish truth (

Three - Signifies completion or perfection, and unity. Three is the number of Persons in the Trinity.

Many significant events in the Bible happened "on the third day" (Hosea 6:2).

Jonah spent three days and three nights in the belly of the fish (Matthew 12:40).

Four - Relates to the earth.

o Earth has four seasons: winter, spring, summer, fall.

o There are four primary directions: north, south, east, west.

Five - A number associated with grace.

o Five Levitical offerings (Leviticus 1-5).

o Jesus multiplied five loaves of barely to feed 5,000 (Matthew 14:17).

Six - The number of man.

o Adam and Eve were created on the sixth day (Genesis 1:31).

Seven - Refers to the number of God, divine perfection or completeness.

o On the seventh day God rested after completing the creation (Genesis 2:2).

o God's Word is pure, like silver purified seven times in the fire (Psalm 12:6).

Eight - May signify new beginnings,

Eight people survived the flood (Genesis 7:13, 23).

o Circumcision took place on the eighth day (Genesis 17:12).

Nine - May mean fullness of blessing, although many scholars don't assign any special meaning to this number either.

o There are nine fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (ESV)

Ten - Relates to human governments and law.

1. The Ten Commandments were the Tablets of the Law (Exodus 20:1-17, Deuteronomy 5:6-21).

Six is the number for man. Seven is perfection which Is our Mighty God. But the number itself is significant. Six is one short of seven, the number of divine perfection, it thus represents shortfall from perfection. And six hundred and sixty six is six intensified.

There are also three sixes in a row indicating a trinity that comes short of God’s perfection, and remarkably it is the sum of all the numbers that make up the square of six. In other words it hugely stresses that which comes short of God.

Furthermore in Greek letters it represents chi (six hundred) and xi (sixty) and digamma, the latter in numerical use is very similar to the sigma ending (six). Chi and final sigma represent a shortening (first and last letter) of Christos and xi bears the shape of a serpent. It may thus pictorially represent anti-Christ, a devil indwelt messiah.

So, having listed all of the points which our Precious Holy Spirit reveals can you now say who the False Prophet is? Let’s list them one more time for you

. Came up from the earth [land] = Israel

. Two Horns = Unity. – Might & Power

. Lamb = Sacrificial system of Israel

. Uses deceit

. Imitates The Prophet Elijah

. Lord Jesus’ remark – Elijah has already come

. Jews still are waiting for Elijah to come

So, with this information, your answer is?
