Summary: Allowing GOD to Work in your Spirit

Allowing GOD to Work in your Spirit

2 Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

After much time pondering this scripture that God placed for deliverance today it is clear that we must understand that a farmer is the person engaged in agriculture, raising living organisms for food or raw materials. Whereas a Gardener practices the cultivating and growth of plants; yet the difference between a Gardener and Farmer is one works for beautification and the other more for food. Yet both are similar due to the process that is required in growing plants. Now the process of a successful farmer the steps that he must follow to have a great harvest are quite important. First there is the tilling of the field which is preparing the soil for planting. Next the farmer must fertilize the field which is to ensure that proper nutrients for the seeds that are to be planted. Then there is the planting of the seeds in the field. Understand that time, inspiration, nurturing, and harvesting are important in the farmer’s process. So let each of us think about it when the springtime comes, we all take time to prepare our pots and yards for nurturing beautiful flowers in the summer. It is clear that in this message we all are the fields in which our father in heaven tills fertilizes, plants, and harvests are done in each of daily by our heavenly father. Throughout the word of God there are several examples of how God toils in our souls and lives to bring forth a beautiful blossom in each of us. For instance, when Moses was a great leader in the Egyptian culture yet he was stripped and banished from the land he knew to go to the mountains where he heard the voice of God in the burning bush which lead him to be a great leader of God’s people. Another instance in the word of God is JOB who was a man that praise we God yet he faced strong adversities and in spite of how it looked losing everything he owned and loved he still held strong to his faith and continued in patience to praise our father in heaven! Yet when we look at our walk in this life how many times we have faced a situations or circumstances and question why now. There are 4 key points that must be addressed in this message today:

1. Respect of Time and Salvation – preparing

2. Finding the inspiration – planting

3. Spiritual Guard – nurturing

4. Glorify God – Harvesting

Now each of these points is important for us to blossom in the realms of God.

Let's begin with verse 15 which gives us “And consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation” this section it is clear that we must respect time. First let me give the definition of time and salvation. Time is defined as the measure or measurable period during which an action process or condition; Also to set the tempo, speed, or duration of. Salvation is defined as deliverance from the power of sin. When we look at this scripture we have to regard the time in which we live as a time of salvation in The Lord; Just as the Farmer makes preparations for the planting season. He first plows the soils then he tills it with fertilizers in preparation to receive the planting of the seeds. We have to view our personal walk in life as a garden because when we all think back in each of our life's journey how God has plowed in our souls which generated the desire in our hearts, minds and souls to change from living life in the fast lane as in the movie fast and furious; to walking in our salvation waiting for God to begin to plant into our souls deeper wisdom from his scripture. See we have to understand that the life in Christ Jesus is not an easy journey yet it is full of many learning experiences. Remember in Jeremiah 18:1-5 Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you. See God is planting his word in our hearts just as he stated he would write his convent in our hearts.

Nevertheless, when we face an adversity in this journey in life it is God preparing us as the farmer prepares the field for the planting. So look at it this way when God is prepping us he is tilling in our souls for that which is unclean in our spiritual life. In Paul's letters in Romans 2:4 do you presume upon the riches of his kindness and forbearance of The Lord as salvation? We have realized that when God is plowing in his garden he is prepping us with is kindness to grant us repentance of our sins. See ask yourself this question are ready for Christ return right now this minute. If we truly think about it we have to be like either the potter in Jeremiah place ourselves back on the potter’s wheel and allow God to reshape us. The same as with the Gardner because of the prepping of the land is not done just once but yearly because the seasons change throughout the year. Therefore we must respect our time in The Lord for it is there we gain our salvation. Allow him full authority in each of our lives to reshape each of us.

Now that we have been plowed and tilled it is seeding time this is where we as God's children must go deeper into his word daily through his divine inspiration. Inspiration is defined as the action or power of moving the intellect or emotions. In this stage of our spiritual growth allow for our father in heaven to plant his seeds of biblical knowledge into our minds, bodies, and souls. See when we study his word we are being seeded with wisdom in prepping us to go forth reaching others through divine insight. It is clear that as we patiently await the return of Christ we are to put on our spiritual armor as stated in Ephesians 6:10-19

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel. In this message the key is to be bold workers for The Lord. Allowing Gods inspirations he has for each of us to be as Paul and Peter. Understand that as we gain new insight in Christ Jesus we must also plant the same seed into others by this quote "Reach One, Teach One" for we are all ambassadors for Christ. Though some are called and anointed by his hand we must work closer together for the same goal to saving souls. In Deuteronomy 7:9; Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth his covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. Clearly God keeps his word and he honors his promises. Understand that the God I serve See let's tie these to verses together we have to respect the time for it is a component of salvation and await as Job did which develops patience in each of us. By being inspired the scriptures reveal mind of God. For his mind is vastly greater than our mind and will often be perceived as strange and complex. But tell me what is complex when God has given unto each of us salvation and eternal life. .

It is clear that farming is hard work and requires dedication for we have plowed the field and seeded the field we must now toil the field by guarding off things that can destroy all of our hard work. See this is what we are to do in verses 17 we are protect our spiritual life by first forgiving ourselves from not just the past but also of any sin that we may done. Also keep in mind that we want our Spiritual Light to shine not an artificial light that we can turn with a switch but the light of GOD to shine from the inside to the outside. Understand that when God shines from the inside nothing can separate us from his everlasting Salvation.

Then we have to have the forgiving spirit for others and after forgiving, we must pose LOVE for God, Self and others. See when we walk in faith and not by sight is when God uses us as the harvest from the field.

Now by putting on the whole armor of God is how we are to protect our spiritual growth from the wickedness in this world. Bring us to our blossom moment in Christ for he has plowed deep in our spirit which is our salvation. He has inspired us by planting the word of God in each of us for his purpose. And he has charged each of us to guard our spirits from wickedness by nurturing the garden. And finally we are at the time in The Lord is ready to harvest the garden. So each of us are to shout praises unto our father in heaven for he sent his son to save us from our sins of this world. See it at this time that we can use Gods word to break any yolks, burdens, and chains that try to hold us back.

Understand that when praises go up blessings come down. Therefore the remedy against falling back is to grow in Grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let me leave you with this important message today it is time to Glorify our Lord for the harvest is ready. Now go forth in the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost reaching others in his name allowing him to use you as his vessel.

A farmer makes his living by sowing and reaping, if he fails to plant a harvest he fails to reap a harvest...so it is in the spiritual realm, unless we sow into the kingdom of GOD we cannot reap life everlasting. As in 1 Peter 4:1, for as much then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin. And even thou we all know that Satan is going tempt us realize that by wearing the WHOLE ARMOR of GOD when Satan comes to tempt you on the right, left, from the front, and even do a sneak attack from behind. But Know that the God I serve will station an Angel on your right, An angel on your left, one in the front, one in the back God even tells his angel to lay down an carry us when we get a little weak and he also tells one to protect us from above our heads. So know that the God we serve is an awesome GOD and almighty God, he is the lily of the Valley and the bright an Morning Star. Break Every Chain in the name of Jesus. Allow God to plow, plant, nurture, and harvest in your life and He will bring forth a refreshing anointing upon each of you. Let me leave this word with you Looking back, makes you smart; looking forward, makes you mature; looking down, makes you wise; looking up makes you strong.

That says the Word of GOD.
