Summary: Jesus himself is praying for his disciples. He says in his prayer, "I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are Thine."

Good "Prayerful" Saturday, Everyone!

Last Sunday Jesus taught us how to pray. This Sunday Jesus himself is praying for his disciples. He says in his prayer, "I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are Thine."

Wow, how more blessed can a person be that Jesus pray to the Father, for them? Well, I got some great news for YOU! Jesus is in heaven right this very second, sitting at the right hand of the Father Praying for YOU.

In John 17:1-26 Jesus is expressing the fact that what's Gods is His and what's His is ours and what's God's is ours and what's ours is Gods and that this world is NOT our home. I LOVE THIS PRAYER!!!

Friends, we as Christians are set apart from the world. In relationships, in choices we make, in our responses to situations, and in our love for one another including those who don't like us or even hate us. The world doesn't understand that kind of love. Jesus' kind of unconditional love is a love that passes all understanding...just like our faith and just like that peace we have while in this world. We have a peace that passes all understanding, knowing that no matter what happens in the world, we are not of it and will one day be taken out of it to a home in heaven, not built with human hands. Sooooooooooooooooo, let me conclude with this...I said all that to say this, and I quote John 17:20-21,

"I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me because of their testimony. [21] My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father—that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me." Dear friends, lets join together and pray for this world. Lets pray for each other. Lets pray for the sick. Lets pray for the lost. Knowing that my Savior is in heaven praying for me is one of the most comforting feelings a Christian could ever have. God Bless you all.

Sunday School is a great place to start learning about the One who is praying for you! Amen!
