Summary: At times we don’t need a lecture, we don’t need the ‘Red Sea’ miracle to be narrated, we don’t need a long advice, we don’t need a sermon – all we need when we stand broken, forlorn and discouraged is a kind word,

When you have nowhere to go except to His throne!

Psalm 119:50”This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life.”

At times we don’t need a lecture, we don’t need the ‘Red Sea’ miracle to be narrated, we don’t need a long advice, we don’t need a sermon – all we need when we stand broken, forlorn and discouraged is a kind word, hearing ears or comforting arms! Is anybody listening to me? Frustration at times gets on your nerves! At times a healthy chat with a kind person who loves you for who you are, without judging you turns out to be the best medical therapy ever on earth! People see the outside of you which is wonderfully camouflaged with a smile; yet, the inside is bleeding! The heart looks for someone who can understand the pain, the worry, the angst and the agony!

There are lot of struggles, pain, frustration, disappointments, humiliation, defeats and tears in ministry and personally in the various projects that I handle. There is a flip side to the glorious testimonies that I share with you. Listen! When a teenager in our Abide School on whom I had invested lot of prayers, time, energy and tears turns rebellious and rude on me, it certainly breaks my heart to million pieces. When I catch my school children steal and lie; it hurts me hugely. When a church member whom I love and consider to be a good fruit of my ministry just vanishes away from me and stops attending our weekly meetings and just gives attendance on Sundays, it certainly causes immense pain. You have no idea of the pain! Frustration! I’m not talking of frustration of not getting tickets for your favorite movie or frustration when you don’t get your salary hike – I’m talking of something more deep. I am talking of being kicked from the ones whom you love and care, I am talking of being ridiculed and mocked when you invest your ‘all’ into serving God and His people. I know there is someone out there who needs this devotion! You know what, at times the people whom who love and close to you also don’t seem to understand you; is it not? Not to worry! This is just common. The Bible says, “HE has searched you and known you!” (Psalm 139:1) Glory to God! Relax!

There are good people suffering after numerous fasting and prayers while the careless party- goers are enjoying! I know there are servants of God who are in deep pain for lack of support and understanding. Ministries dwindle and fall because of lack of support and encouragement! Today I strongly recommend you to lean on God and His Word and nothing else! I repeat nothing else! Everything else would fail and fall but His Rod and Staff would guide you in the deepest valley!

I write this after weeping and pouring out my heart out at His feet for more than an hour at 2 pm in the afternoon on Sunday! Imagine! I’m sure it is the most odd time for a prayer revival but when everything around you sinks you have nowhere to go except to His throne!

David said:”This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life!” Cheer up!
