Summary: He that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;

Give Me My Mountain

Joshua 18:1-4 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh,

and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them. And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.

And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you? Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land,

and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.

Isaiah 57:13 When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but Give Me My Mountain

As the children of Israel finally began to take possession of their inheritance, we see that there

are seven tribes that for some reason, have failed

to receive their inheritance.

The same problem is in the church today; many of Gods people are living substandard lives because

they haven’t taken hold of the promises of God.

When the bible says they had not received their inheritance, it actually means that they had failed to drive out the enemy. It was an evident fact that their land, though promised to them by God, was inhabited by people who opposed their right to the land.

To possess their inheritance meant they had to dispossess the enemy. To drive them out.

The land belonged to the children of Israel by right of inheritance, by promise, but it was occupied and dominated by their enemies.

Joshua sternly questions and rebukes them, for not moving in faith concerning their inheritance.

How long are ye slack to go to possess the land,

which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?

The point is:

#1 The land had been given to them by God

#2 It was their responsibility to do whatever

they had to do in order to take possession of it.

Joshua was asking them how long they were going to hang back, and put off, possessing their inheritance.

How long were they going to be lazy, self-preserving, fearful, and unwilling to take back their land.

Give Me My Mountain

Similarities between this Old and New Testament

#1 By inheritance the land belonged to them,

Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.

#2 They must forcibly take of what was legally theirs.

#3 They were slack to take what was theirs.

We find this same scenario in the church world today.

We are the seed of Abraham, and heirs to the blessing.

Gal 3:13-14 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit, through faith.

Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Give Me My Mountain

But as it was then, even so is it today, there are enemies possessing our inheritance and we must be willing to fight for what is legally ours.

Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

One reason many of Gods people are cheated out of their inheritance is: because they don’t know what belongs to them, they are unfamiliar with the will.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,

I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God,

I will also forget thy children.

Another reason is: we are just plain slack,

slothful, lazy, (unwilling to fight for it).

Many Christians would rather live a low level mediocre self-preserving life, and do without their rights and privileges as Sons and Daughters of God than have to engage the enemy in spiritual warfare.

We say things that make us feel better about ourselves,

Like, it’s not for us here anyway, it’s all in heaven

I SAY Give Me My Mountain

Our possessions are not over in heaven waiting for us to die so we can go over there and get them.

Our possessions are in Christ, waiting for us to rise up in faith, and drive out every enemy of our promises and take possession of what belongs to us through the redemptive work that God wrought in Christ Jesus.

The Promise land of the Old Testament was not a type of Heaven (There will not be any giants in heaven).

Our inheritance has to be obtained through faith.

2 Co 1:20 For all the promises of God (in him) are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Give Me My Mountain

We need a clear vision of our inheritance, our rights and privileges as Sons of God. The devil oppresses many of Gods people and keeps them in Bondage, because they do not know who they are in Christ.

But the truth is our inheritance came to us through Jesus death and he willed it to us, and it’s for right here right now. Give Me My Mountain

I don’t need money when I get to heaven

(I need it now) Give Me My Mountain

I don’t need healing when I get to heaven

(I need it now). Give Me My Mountain

I don’t need power over the devil when I get to heaven (I need it now). Give Me My Mountain

Joshua realized to get them motivated, they needed

to see, to get a revelation of what belonged to them.

Ephesians 1:17-18 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope

of his calling, and what the riches of the glory

of his inheritance in the saints,

He sent them to survey, to spy out the land, to take inventory. This is what we must do: We must get in the word and search out our inheritance and get a revelation of what belongs to us and see ourselves living in the fullness of the life Jesus brought.

It’s time to stake your claim: Give Me My Mountain

You may criticize the name it claim it philosophy but the fact is: If you do not stake your claim concerning the promises of God, and you do not personalize them you will never possess them. Give Me My Mountain

You can say: I believe the bible is true, I believe every promise from cover to cover, but if you do not know what those promises are and you do not personalize them and stake your claim concerning them, you will never experience them. Give Me My Mountain

Many of Gods people miss out on their inheritance because they are waiting for God to give them what is already theirs by inheritance. We are praying and asking for things that are already ours: How silly would it have been for those seven tribes to approach Joshua and say: Please give us our inheritance;

Please give us what God promised us. No, it was already theirs; they just had to possess it.

Eph 1:3 He (hath) blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

2Peter 1:3 According as his divine power (hath given) unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness

1 Co 3:21-23 Therefore let no man glory in men.

For all things (are) yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death,

or things present, or things to come; all (are) yours;

23 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.

Give Me My Mountain

Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

We are already delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of his son. Col 1:13

We are already the righteousness of God in Christ

We are already redeemed from the curse of the law, spiritual death, poverty and sickness. Gal 3:13-14

We are already healed by the stripes of Jesus

We have already been given power to tread on serpents and scorpions and all the power of the enemy.

Eph 1:6 We have already been raised up together and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

The question is not, whether or not, it belongs to you,

The question is, How long are you going to be slack concerning the promises of God, to take possession of that which God has already given you. How long are you going to let the devil cheat you out of what belongs to you. Jesus paid for it with his blood, it belongs to you but you will have to fight for it.

Anything worth having, is worth fighting for.

Whatever God has promised you is legally yours, every dream, every prophetic utterance, every promise and blessing of God that is in His Word. Now it’s up to you to stand up in faith and in the power of the Holy Ghost and say it’s mine. Give me my mountain

We need the Spirit of Rueben, Gad, and Manasseh.

They took their inheritance on this side of the Jordan

Numbers 32:32 We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.

Deut 3:18-19-20 Ye shall go over armed before your brethren until the Lord have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you,

The reason the 3 tribes were able to go ahead and fight for their brethren, was because they had received their inheritance already. Moses or Joshua didn’t give the children of Israel their inheritance, God did.

Give Me My Mountain

Jordan means death. Many Christians think they have to die before they can receive their inheritance.

They think they have to “cross Jordan”, in order to get the inheritance that God has already given them.

You don’t have to die to get your inheritance; you just have to show up at the reading of the will so you can find out what belongs to you. Jesus Christ was the express will of God for us, all of the riches of Heaven are contained in Christ. Give Me My Mountain

Heb 9:15-17 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16 For where a testament (or will) is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament (or will) is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

The will is of force, only after the death of the testator, the one who wrote the will. Jesus died to bring us into possession of our inheritance, To bring the kingdom of God to us: (thy kingdom come thy will be done).

But for some reason, Gods people are convinced that we have to die before we can have our inheritance.

Many of us were raised with a Someday, Somewhere, Somehow, Salvation that told us, everything was just over in the glory land, where the soul never dies, and that one of these days we’ll die and fly and eat our pie in the sky in the sweet bye and bye, I want to cry.

This is in total contradiction to the bibles teaching.

The bible doesn’t tell me I’m going to have power when I die, it says (Ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you.) Give Me My Mountain

It doesn’t tell me I have to wait till I get to heaven to be blessed, it says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Eph.

2Pe 1:3 His divine power hath given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

That means the blessing that he pronounced on Abraham is mine NOW, so, Give Me My Mountain

Deuteronomy 28:1-13 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways. And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee. The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath;

No where in those verses do I read that my blessing is waiting for me, on the Other Side Of Jordan.

Tell Your Neighbor: I love you and I don’t want to offend you, and if you want to wait till we all get to heaven to get blessed, that’s up to you. But I’ll just take mine NOW, Give Me My Mountain

I just believe I’ll take my Joy NOW

Give Me My Mountain

I just believe I’ll take my Peace NOW

Give Me My Mountain

I Just believe I’ll take my Prosperity NOW

Give Me My Mountain

I Just believe I’ll take my Power and Anointing NOW Give Me My Mountain

I just believe I’ll take my righteousness NOW

Give Me My Mountain

I Just believe I’ll take my Money NOW

Give Me My Mountain

I Just believe I’ll take my Healing NOW

Give Me My Mountain

You can wait till you get to heaven if you want to

But I just believe I’ll take mine NOW.

Give Me My Mountain

Jesus, is the Promised land of the Believer:

2Co 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God.

I have to obey the Lord, he told me to prophesy: Somebody listening to this message is going from a Zero to a Hero, going from the Underdog to the Wonder dog, going from the Wimp to the Warrior, from the Worrier to the Worshiper, from the Fretful to the Faithful, from the Rocking Chair to the Battlefield. God said to tell you that today the tables are turning; you’re never going to see yourself the same way again, today is a day of transformation.

Isaiah 57:13 When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth

his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall

inherit my holy mountain;

Josh 10:24-25 Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: (for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight).

Lu 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

You have to go after it; you have to engage the enemy in battle. God never promised you a life without battles (he promised you the victory, if you fight).

It’s amazing to me how many lazy people we have in the church today, who expect God to hand them everything on a silver platter. Even Jesus himself said: I give unto you power over all the power of the enemy (then he said) you must do the treading upon serpents and scorpions; you put the devil under your feet.

2 Co 10:3-5 He tells us that we have weapons of warfare that are mighty, given to us by God and with these weapons we can pull down strong holds, we can cast down imaginations and high arguments that exalt themselves above the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Joshua said to his captains: You see these kings under your feet; God will give us this kind of victory over every enemy that we fight against. Again we see that God has promised the victory but it is dependent upon action on our part. I’m reminded of the great walls that surrounded Jericho, (Josh. ch 6) God promised Joshua and the children of Israel that he would give them the city, (but they had to march around the city for seven days without saying a word, then on the seventh day and the final time around they were to blow their trumpets and shout the victory shout.

I believe one of the greatest problems we have in the church today, is many of Gods people are not properly trained and equipped to engage the enemy in battle.

I say that, not because they have not been told or taught, but because so many today are unwilling to embrace the mindset and the attitude of a warrior.

The majority of the church world is very comfortable with the Father/Child relationship with God, (meaning I’m his child, he’s supposed to take care of me).

That is absolutely true, and what a privilege it is to have such a wonderful relationship with our heavenly father (But we’re not talking about just waiting on Daddy God to do everything and give us everything)

We are talking about the fact that there is a devil who hates us who has a host of demons at his disposal who is absolutely set against the child of God and who wants to destroy us. We’re talking about the fact that we are supposed to be walking in Jesus footsteps doing the same things he did, healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, casting out devils, preaching deliverance to the captives and setting people free from the devils power.

Mk 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing,

it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

That’s why we, Put on the Whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The child of God is not supposed to lose in life:

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which (always) causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

My intent for this message is to stir up the warrior in you, I want you to realize you are more than a conqueror; I want you to recognize that greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. I want you to get mad at everything the devil is doing in your family, in your ministry, in your finances, in your health. I want you to rise up on the inside and tell the devil (enough is enough). I want you to realize that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and that you are seated with him in heaven places and the devil is under your feet. I want you to realize that in the mind of God you are the winner, You have the advantage, You have the Word of God, and you have The Power of The Holy Ghost, (You are anointed)

Tell your neighbor: I am anointed

Now say it to yourself: I am anointed

Now tell the devil: I am anointed

I’m anointed: The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me, The same anointing that was on Jesus is on me. I am anointed, I am anointed.

Ac 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

1Jo 2:20 But ye have an anointing from the Holy One,

2Co 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath (anointed us,) is God;

Nothing changes in your circumstances, til you change

You have to decide to be the Man of God you were destined to be, or the Woman of God you were destined to be. You have to decide to discipline yourself to the Word of God, to Fasting, to Prayer

You don’t like the circumstances you’re dealing with in your life, then I ask you the question (What are you going to do about it?) You don’t like what the devil is doing in your finances) (What are you going to do about it?) You don’t like what the devil is doing in your family or against your ministry, I have one question for you (What are you going to do about it?)

Ask your neighbor: What are you going to do about it? Now tell somebody, I’m taking back my mountain.

I’m taking back my mountain. I’m taking back my mountain. Shout loud, Give Me My Mountain

There was a man in the bible who was bedridden,

he couldn’t walk, but he had four friends who wanted things to be different for him and they heard that Jesus could make him well, so they took him to where Jesus was ministering but the crowd was too big and they couldn’t get to Jesus, but they got him up on the roof and tore the roof off and let him down in front of Jesus and Jesus Healed him) Give Me My Mountain

There was a syrophenician woman who’s daughter was possessed with a devil; she came to where Jesus was but his disciples stopped her, they told Jesus

send her away she crieth after us, but finally she gets through the disciples and cries to Jesus; Have mercy on me I have a daughter who is grievously vexed with a devil. His first response was, he answered her not a word, then He said, It is not right to give the children’s bread to the dogs. Lord she answered, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs the fall from their masters table.

Jesus said: Woman great is your faith, go your way the devil is gone out of your daughter.

You can sit around complaining about how bad everything is, and about what the devils doing, and about what you don’t like, and how you wish things were different. But I’m closing this message with this question: What are you going to do about it?

Will you say, no, will you shout Give Me My Mountain

You are called

You are chosen

You are anointed

You have the name of Jesus

You have the word of God

You have the power of the blood of Jesus

You are the righteousness of God in Christ

You are the light of the world and the salt of the earth

You are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ

Greater is He that’s in you, than he thats in the world.

What are you going to do about it?

Will you shout, Give Me My Mountain

How long will you let the devil bully you around?

How long will you let the devil harass your family

and kick dirt in your face before you say (I’ve had it)

and make the decision to put your armor on and take your sword and take your authority as a child of God and take that bully out and possess what’s yours.

You are NOT Slack: faint, feeble, forsaken, idle,

alone, slothful, You are NOT Slothful: sluggish,

lazy, or stupid or dull, Your first focus is warfare.

It is not to hold the fort till Jesus comes and then be carried home. It is to possess that, which has been promised to us, To take possession of our inheritance.

Possess: to seize, to expel, to ruin, to cast out, to take,

To consume, destroy, disinherit, dispossess, drive out, enjoy, (take) possession, seize upon, to possess !!!

Why is this our first focus? Because until we are in possession of our inheritance, we cannot help any one else to receive theirs. Take it back, take it back….

Will you shout, Give Me My Mountain

There was a death,

Jesus died for our sins and to make atonement for us.

There is a will,

Jesus said, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

There is a mediator;

Jesus sits on the right hand of the Father

Making intersession for you and me.

There is an executor of the will,

Jesus rose from the grave and is alive today.

There is an inheritance,

All the promises and blessings of God in Christ

are yes and Amen. Give Me My Inheritance

Can you shout, Give Me My Mountain

Isaiah 57:13 When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth

his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall

inherit my holy mountain;
