Competently NETWORKS(:24)

Explanation:(:24)

:24—“She makes linen garments & sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants.”

The virtuous woman/wife indeed fashions(“makes”) “garments” of “linen” not only for her family, but selling the excess for a profit!

She specifically provides or makes & sells(implied) girders/belts for those merchants whom she has contact with thru her trading. She has a network of people thru whom she sells her wares.

:14—“She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar.”

:16—“She considers a field & buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard.”

:20—“She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.”

:23—“Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.”

Hers is NOT a network selfishly maintained as some businessmen maintain their contact list!...Who join churches & civic clubs just to increase their profits. What this woman does is put opportunity to use among those she knows closely & distantly who hold something in common...need & supply.

“Makes”(See :22)—hse aw-saw'—Qal Perfect—1) To do, fashion, accomplish, make. Strong—a primitive root; To do or make, in the broadest sense & widest application.

“Linen garments”(See :22—vv)—Nydo saw-deeyn'—1) Linen wrapper—1a) Rectangular piece of fine linen worn as outer, or at night, as a sole garment. Strong—from an unused root meaning to envelop; A wrapper, i.e. Shirt. Used 4X.

“Sells”—rkm maw-kar’—Qal Imperfect—1) To sell. Strong—a primitive root; To sell, literally (as merchandise, a daughter in marriage, into slavery), or figuratively--To surrender.

“Supplies”(See :15, 31,—“Provides/Gives”)—Ntn naw-than’—Qal Perfect—1) To give, put, set—1a) (Qal)—1a1) To give, bestow, grant, permit, ascribe, employ, devote, consecrate, dedicate, pay wages, sell, exchange, lend, commit, entrust, give over, deliver up, yield produce, occasion, produce, requite to, report, mention, utter, stretch out, extend, 1a2) To put, set, put on, put upon, set, appoint, assign, designate, 1a3) To make, constitute. Strong—a primitive root; To give, used with greatest latitude of application(put, make, etc.).

“Sashes”—rwgx khaw-gowr’—Noun Masc.—1) Clothed, girded, girt. Strong—from rgx[See :17—“Girds”]; Belted. Used 4X.

“Merchants”—ynenk ken-ah-an-eey'—Canaanite = see Cana “zealous"—Adj.—1) descendant of inhabitant of Canaan. Noun—; 2) Descendant or inhabitant of Canaan; 3) A merchant, trader. Strong—A Kenaanite or inhabitant of Kenaan; by implication--A pedlar(the Canaanites standing for their neighbors the Ishmaelites, who conducted mercantile caravans).

Argumentation:

1Cor. 7:29-31—“But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none, those who weep as though they did not weep, those who rejoice as though they did not rejoice, those who buy as though they did not possess, & those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.”

Mat. 10:1-16—“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, & to heal all kinds of sickness & all kinds of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, & Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, & John his brother; Philip & Bartholomew; Thomas & Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, & Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; Simon the Canaanite, & Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. These twelve Jesus sent out & commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, & do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food. Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, & stay there till you go out. And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom & Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents & harmless as doves.”

**Lk. 10:1-2—“After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, & sent them two by two before His face into every city & place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Jn. 13:3435—“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Rom. 12:9-17—“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless & do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, & weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.” Jn. 4:25-26, 28-30, 39-42—“The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”.....“The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, & said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” Then they went out of the city & came to Him.”.....“And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; & He stayed there two days. And many more believed because of His own word. Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him & we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Acts 2:40-47—“And with many other words he[Peter] testified & exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; & that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine & fellowship, in the breaking of bread, & in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, & many wonders & signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, & had all things in common, & sold their possessions & goods, & divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, & breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness & simplicity of heart, praising God & having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

Rom. 1:15-17—“So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first & also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Competently REJOICES In HER FUTURE(:25)

Explanation:(:25)

:25—“Strength & honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come.”

The virtuous woman/wife’s “strength & honor” are worn well by her before all. She is recognized thru those characteristics.

Her “strength” has been described in :17. That “strength” is part of the “honor” which is personally hers. She wears’ both “strength & honor” as clothing. They are a major part of how she is recognized or distinguished among her peers & by the world.

She is thereby a testament to the personal work of Christ in her.

Such godly character will follow her into her later days. She will personally be able to laugh/mock(“rejoice”) at her subsequent years knowing that she has been, has worked as, & remains, a woman of great integrity...OR it could mean that she will laugh/mock at those times/people which have hindered her, seeing how she, thru her integrity, has brought her family to thrive in it all.

She has reaped the benefits of being a godly wife & mother by putting her hand to the plow & not looking back.

“...she shall never have occasion to blush for any thing she has made, for any thing she or hers have worn, or for any thing she has sold.”—M. Henry

“Strength”(See :17)—ze `oz—Noun Masc.—1) Might, strength—1a) Material or physical, 1b) Personal or social or political. Strong—Strength in various applications(force, security, majesty, praise).

“Honor/Dignity”—rdh haw-dawr'—1) Ornament, splendor, honor—1a) Ornament, 1b) Splendor, majesty, 1c) Honor, glory. Strong—from rdh[To swell up(literally or figuratively, active or passive); by implication--To favor or honor, be high or proud]; Magnificence, i.e. Ornament or splendor.

“Clothing”(See :21, 22)—vwbl leb-oowsh’—Noun Masc.—1) Clothing, garment, apparel, raiment. Strong—A garment(literally or figuratively); by implication(euphemism)--A wife.

“Rejoice/Smiles/Laugh”—qxs saw-khak’—Qal Imperfect—1) To laugh, play, mock—1a) (Qal)—1a1) To laugh(usually in contempt or derision), 1a2) To sport, play. Strong—a primitive root; to laugh(in pleasure or detraction); by implication--To play.

“Time”—Mwy yowm—1) Day, time, year. Strong—from an unused root meaning to be hot; A day(as the warm hours), whether literal (from sunrise to sunset, or from one sunset to the next), or figurative--A space of time(defined by an associated term), [often used adverb].

“To come”—Nwrxa akh-ar-one’—Adj.—1) Behind, following, subsequent, western—1a) Behind, hindermost, western(of location), 1b) Later, subsequent, latter, last(of time). Strong—Hinder; generally--Late or last; specifically(as facing the east)--Western.

Argumentation:

Job 29:14-17—[Job of his righteousness]“I put on righteousness, & it clothed me; My justice was like a robe & a turban. I was eyes to the blind, And I was feet to the lame. I was a father to the poor, And I searched out the case that I did not know. I broke the fangs of the wicked, And plucked the victim from his teeth.”

The works of the faithful follow them:

Sam. 8:4-10—“Then all the elders of Israel gathered together & came to Samuel at Ramah, & said to him, “Look, you are old, & your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the LORD. And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day--with which they have forsaken Me & served other gods--so they are doing to you also. Now therefore, heed their voice. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, & show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them.” So Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who asked him for a king.”

Ps. 145:1-21—<> “I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever & ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever & ever. Great is the LORD, & greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness. The LORD is gracious & full of compassion, Slow to anger & great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works. All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations. The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry & save them. The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever & ever.

Rev. 14:6-13—“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue, & people-- saying with a loud voice, “Fear God & give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; & worship Him who made heaven & earth, the sea & springs of water.” And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast & his image, & receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire & brimstone in the presence of the holy angels & in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever & ever; & they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast & his image, & whoever receives the mark of his name.” Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God & the faith of Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, & their works follow them.”

Heb. 6:7-12—“For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, & bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns & briars, it is rejected & near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. For God is not unjust to forget your work & labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, & do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith & patience inherit the promises.”

Php. 2:14-18—“Do all things without complaining & disputing, that you may become blameless & harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked & perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain. Yes, & if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice & service of your faith, I am glad & rejoice with you all. For the same reason you also be glad & rejoice with me.”

2Tim. 4:5-8—“But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, & the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, & not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

The godly wife/woman’s & God’s Servant’s future:

Isa. 65:11-17—“But you are those who forsake the LORD, Who forget My holy mountain, Who prepare a table for Gad[Babylonian “god of fortune”], And who furnish a drink offering for Meni["fate" or “fortune" as an idol]. Therefore I will number you for the sword, And you shall all bow down to the slaughter; Because, when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not hear, But did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight.” Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, My servants shall eat, But you shall be hungry; Behold, My servants shall drink, But you shall be thirsty; Behold, My servants shall rejoice, But you shall be ashamed; Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, But you shall cry for sorrow of heart, And wail for grief of spirit. You shall leave your name as a curse to My chosen; For the Lord GOD will slay you, And call His servants by another name; So that he who blesses himself in the earth Shall bless himself in the God of truth; And he who swears in the earth Shall swear by the God of truth; Because the former troubles are forgotten, And because they are hidden from My eyes. “For behold, I create new heavens & a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.”

Job 42:12-13—“Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, & one thousand female donkeys. He also had seven sons & three daughters.”[cf. 1:2-3].

Lk. 6:20-26—“Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, & said: “Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, For you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, & cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man’s sake. Rejoice in that day & leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets. But woe to you who are rich, For you have received your consolation. Woe to you who are full, For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, For you shall mourn & weep. Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets.”

Lk. 11:42-54—“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint & rue & all manner of herbs, & pass by justice & the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues & greetings in the marketplaces. Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, & the men who walk over them are not aware of them.” Then one of the lawyers answered & said to Him, “Teacher, by saying these things You reproach us also.” And He said, “Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens hard to bear, & you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. “Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, & your fathers killed them. In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, & you build their tombs. Therefore the wisdom of God also said, ‘I will send them prophets & apostles, & some of them they will kill & persecute,’ “that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation, “from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah who perished between the altar & the temple. Yes, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation. Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, & those who were entering in you hindered.” And as He said these things to them, the scribes & the Pharisees began to assail Him vehemently, & to cross-examine Him about many things, lying in wait for Him, & seeking to catch Him in something He might say, that they might accuse Him.

Competently PROJECTS(:26)

Explanation:(:26)

:26—“She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness.”

“Wisdom” pervades her speech. Nothing ‘out of character’ arises from her “mouth.” She thinks before she speaks out of emotion.

Our fleshly ‘prejudices’ can either lead us into obvious darkness or we can allow them to become tempered & molded/transformed by God into obvious(“opens her mouth”) “wisdom.”

Upon “her” very “tongue” is always “the law of kindness.” “Kindness” is a “law” to her, in that it is what governs her & holds authority over her at all times.

She does not say anything which would be misconstrued or hurtful to others. Only goodness is shared in her words. If she were to speak without “kindness,” not only her reputation, but that of her entire family, would suffer. Regardless, her speech exposes her heart...her true nature either in or outside of God’s salvation & will.

The lost world notices a great difference between the saved versus themselves—which they may disdain & mock, calling the saved ‘holier than thou,’ citing behavior only but not accepting the reason for the behavior—Jesus!

What could possibly form a disconnect in the Jesus recorded in history vs. the ‘Jesus’ in your life today?.....!A personal lack of trust in that Jesus!

“Opens”—xtp paw-thakh’—Qal Perfect—1) To open; 2)To carve, engrave. Strong—a primitive root; To open wide (literally or figuratively); specifically--To loosen, begin, plough, carve.

“Mouth”—hp peh—1) Mouth—1a) Mouth (of man), 1b) Mouth(as organ of speech), 1c) Mouth(of animals), 1d) Mouth, opening, orifice(of a well, river, etc), 1e) Extremity, end. Strong—The mouth(as the means of blowing), whether literal or figurative(particularly--Speech); specifically--Edge, portion or side; adverbially(with preposition)--According to.

“Wisdom”—hmkx khok-maw'—1) Wisdom—1a) Skill(in war), 1b) Wisdom(in administration), 1c) Shrewdness, wisdom, 1d) Wisdom, prudence(in religious affairs), 1e) Wisdom(ethical & religious). Strong—from Mkx[ a primitive root, To be wise(in mind, word or act)]; Wisdom(in a good sense).

“Tongue”—Nwvl law-shown'—1) Tongue—1a) Tongue (of men), 1b) Language, 1c) Tongue(of animals), 1d) Tongue(of fire), 1e) Wedge, bay of sea(tongue-shaped). Strong—the tongue (of man or animals), used literally--as The instrument of licking, eating, or speech, & figuratively--Speech, an ingot, a fork of flame, a cove of water).

“Law”—hrwt tow-rah'—1) Law, direction, instruction. Strong—A precept or statute, especially---The Decalogue or Pentateuch.

“Kindness”—dox kheh'-sed—1) Goodness, kindness, faithfulness; 2) A reproach, shame. Strong—Kindness; by implication(towards God)--Piety: rarely(by opposition)--Reproof, or subjectively--Beauty.

Argumentation:

Ps. 14:1[Ps 53:1] <> “The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.”

Pro. 11:29—“He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind, And the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.”

Eccl. 10:1-3—“Dead flies putrefy the perfumer’s ointment, And cause it to give off a foul odor; So does a little folly to one respected for wisdom & honor. A wise man’s heart is at his right hand, But a fool’s heart at his left. Even when a fool walks along the way, He lacks wisdom, And he shows everyone that he is a fool.”

Rom. 12:9-21—“Let love be without hypocrisy. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

1Cor. 1:20-25—“Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, & Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block & to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews & Greeks, Christ the power of God & the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, & the weakness of God is stronger than men.”

Eph. 5:8-17—“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, & truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

Col. 4:5-6—“Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”

Eph. 4:32--5:2—“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us & given Himself for us, an offering & a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”

Lk. 6:38—“Give, & it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, & running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Gal. 5:19-25—“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, & the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions & desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Lk. 6:44-46—“For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; & an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ & do not do the things which I say?”

1Cor. 11:1—“Imitate me[Paul], just as I also imitate Christ.”

Eph. 5:1-2—“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us & given Himself for us, an offering & a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”

1Pet. 2:18-25—“Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good & gentle, but also to the harsh. For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good & suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd & Overseer of your souls.”

As I was putting some finishing touches on this sermon, I was hearing the band at Fathoms raw bar belt out a few oldies that I used to listen to/I think the bands that come there are actually pretty good bands musically/But they are still lost, as the original bands were when I used to listen to the original on vinyl or in concert/The words give them away!—There is no love of the Lord Jesus...No commitment...No trust...No hatred for the sin of the world, but rather an embrace of it!/The bands Competently(though in a worldly way) PROJECT!
