Atonement - Agreement; concord; reconciliation, after enmity or controversy. Expiation; satisfaction or reparation made by giving an equivalent for an injury, or by doing or suffering that which is received in satisfaction for an offense or injury; with for.
We are one with the LORD. The LORD JESUS and me are one.

The LORD is offered and we are also offered moment by moment we are reminded that we are living sacrifice before the LORD.

Our offering is our obedience and we follow the LORD JESUS through His WORDS.
The Mercy Seat is the LORD JESUS Himself. In the old testament, the mercyseat is about three feet wide, nine inches in length.

"Now make a lid of pure gold for the Chest, an Atonement-Cover, three and three-quarters feet long and two and one-quarter feet wide.

The bible differs from the measurement, to me, the LORD doesn't want us to know the exact measurement, but that's not important, what's important and the most important part by the way is the LORD JESUS Himself, the Mercy Seat, and the One that seats in this Mercy Seat that covers our sins and covers us from our enemies and destruction.
MercySeat or "hilasterion" in Greek meaning: an expiatory, atoning victim, lid of the Ark, propitiation.
Propitiation - The act of appeasing wrath and conciliating the favor of an offended person; the act of making propitious. In theology, the atonement or atoning sacrifice offered to God to assuage his wrath and render him propitious to sinners. Christ is the propitiation for the sins of men. Rom 3. 1 John 2
