VI. TITLE:

Adam died without fulfilling his obligation

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Author: Unknown, probably Samuel

B. Period: Time of the judges

C. Subject: How a young Moabite woman's life was enriched.

D. Main Purpose: To show how a Gentile woman became one of the ancestors of CHRIST

VIII. MAIN BODY:

Ruth 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

But Elimelech, who Naomi’s husband, died, and she was left with her two sons.

Ruth 1:3 (King James Version)

And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

A. Elimelech, the husband of Naomi, died.

"But Elimelech, who Naomi’s husband, died,"

Elimelech's story was the same as the story of the prophet under prophet Elisha who died and left her wife and her two sons, but with an additional bonus, that is they're living in debts. Such are the miseries of this world that when you live here you will feel the pain and the misery because GOD is not the god of this world.

2 Kings 4:1 (Amplified Bible)

NOW THE wife of a son of the prophets cried to Elisha, Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. But the creditor has come to take my two sons to be his slaves.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (Amplified Bible)

For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.

And only through the exit by way of death can deliver us from them all. Don't pray this prayer that you will be delivered from evils because the LORD JESUS might take your life away to be with Him. But rather, pray for strength to overcome all these temptations and trials.

Psalms 34:19 (Amplified Bible)

Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (Amplified Bible)

For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

Remember the LORD JESUS will always be with us even in the fiery furnace.

Daniel 3:24-25 (Amplified Bible)

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king [saw and] was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king.

He answered, Behold, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt! And the form of the fourth is like a son of the gods!

The LORD JESUS is always the fourth man in the fire. Whenever I remember this, I remember myself, my wife and my son, and the fourth man with us is the LORD JESUS CHRIST. As for now, while living in this mortal body, we abide in the correction, and discipline of the LORD through His WORDS, we are corrected and we are disciplined.

Hebrews 12:6 (Amplified Bible)

For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes.

Hebrews 12:10-11 (Amplified Bible)

For [our earthly fathers] disciplined us for only a short period of time and chastised us as seemed proper and good to them; but He disciplines us for our certain good, that we may become sharers in His own holiness.

For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness—in conformity to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God].

So Elimelech is just like Adam who died without fulfilling his obligation in life that is to take dominion and subdue all GOD's creations.

Genesis 1:28 (Amplified Bible)

And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.

B. Elimelech left her wife and her two sons.

"and she was left, and her two sons"

Is the same with fathers nowadays. Same scenario but different characters. The modern father of today will leave his family and go abroad to work for more money. Little did he know that he has chosen money rather than relationship to be here in the Philippines and care for his wife and sons/daughters (his relationships)

Ephesians 6:4 (Amplified Bible)

Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment], but rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord.

Fathers are commanded by Apostle Paul to nurture, rear, training, disciplining his wife and sons/daughters in the counsel and admonition of the LORD. What happened? Absentee fathers rose up. Appearing as hero declared by the president but in reality, they escape obligation just like Adam and Elimelech.

All of this nurturing, training, rearing, etc, can all be done when you're by their side not abroad, not via skype or via email which is called long distance relationship but in the bible there's no such thing, a relationship is someone who nurtures, rears, trains, disciplines and it is done personally not virtually. Which is why all families right now are broken families and are near trouble because the leader of the family, the head, the father is absent.

I believe if you have been planted in the Philippines, born and raised here, GOD meant it not as an accident so that GOD will bless you in the Philippines and not in abroad, common sense, will tell you that. Let's see from the GOD'S WORDS.

See GOD will bless the work of your hands, and it's not based on location.

Deuteronomy 14:29 (Amplified Bible)

And the Levite [because he has no part or inheritance with you] and the stranger or temporary resident, and the fatherless and the widow who are in your towns shall come and eat and be satisfied, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.

And whereever you were planted by GOD, in whatever country, you just acknowledge (remember) GOD to fulfill your duties and obligations to Him, by going to church, personal devotions, ministry involvement, etc. and GOD will give you the ability to produce wealth. If wealth is not found in a country, GOD will give you power to produce that wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (Amplified Bible)

But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for I remember, acknowledge and thank You LORD JESUS for You are Both the Power and the Wealth Personified in my life, as the SEED OF ABRAHAM, You established and continue to establish the Abrahamic covenant in our lives even until this day as Abraham's descendants of faith.
