Psalms 75:7 (Amplified Bible)

But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.

Psalms 75:7 (King James Version)

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

A. But GOD is the Judge

"But God is the Judge!"

Psalms 50:6 (Amplified Bible)

And the heavens declare His righteousness (rightness and justice), for God, He is judge. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

Psalms 58:11 (Amplified Bible)

Men will say, Surely there is a reward for the [uncompromisingly] righteous; surely there is a God Who judges on the earth.

Surely and infinitely, absolutely, guaranteed there is GOD who sits in judgement, He sees everything, even the details in our lives even before the foundation of the world. He cannot be swayed, tempted or bribed.

James 1:13 (Amplified Bible)

Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.

That's why this is my attitude in and at work. I do everything excellently because I know my real boss is the One that people don't see.

Colossians 3:17 (Amplified Bible)

And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.

Colossians 3:23 (Amplified Bible)

Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,

1 Corinthians 10:31 (Amplified Bible)

So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.

ILLUSTRATION: One young woman approached me, when seeing I don't take breaks, sleeping break at work, and told me, it's already inhuman of me to work even if my boss is away. I told her (by the HOLY SPIRIT) Yes, you're right it's already inhuman, because I'm godly. And the One that you don't see, sees me working.

John 5:17 (Amplified Bible)

But Jesus answered them, My Father has worked [even] until now, [He has never ceased working; He is still working] and I, too, must be at [divine] work.

This is to please JESUS who is the Real Master of us all. The LORD JESUS placed human beings as instruments, our human bosses, our human supervisors, who supervises us but they're not the One judging our work, but GOD alone. When GOD sees we're faithful in small things, then He will make us manager of big things.

Titus 2:10 (Amplified Bible)

Nor to steal by taking things of small value, but to prove themselves truly loyal and entirely reliable and faithful throughout, so that in everything they may be an ornament and do credit to the teaching [which is] from and about God our Savior.

Matthew 25:21 (Amplified Bible)

His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys.

Matthew 25:23 (Amplified Bible)

His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys.

B. GOD demotes and promotes

"He puts down one and lifts up another."

John 15:16 (Amplified Bible)

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

Romans 11:15 (Amplified Bible)

For if their rejection and exclusion from the benefits of salvation were [overruled] for the reconciliation of a world to God, what will their acceptance and admission mean? [It will be nothing short of] life from the dead!

Galatians 1:15 (Amplified Bible)

But when He, Who had chosen and set me apart [even] before I was born and had called me by His grace (His undeserved favor and blessing), saw fit and was pleased

He demotes or puts down first then He promotes. For GOD can't use unbroken vessels but He uses broken vessels.

Isaiah 29:16 (Amplified Bible)

[Oh, your perversity!] You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be considered of no more account than the clay? Shall the thing that is made say of its maker, He did not make me; or the thing that is formed say of him who formed it, He has no understanding?

Jeremiah 18:4 (Amplified Bible)

And the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he made it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it.

Jeremiah 18:6 (Amplified Bible)

O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.

ILLUSTRATION: When I started working in a call center, I was placed in a department where I can't perform well, it broke my heart deeply because of my score, it's all failing, afterwards, the team leader offered to transfer me to another department, and with no second thought, yes, because I'm thinking what could be worst than these, but before that I'm all broken inside, now GOD in His Grace and Mercy to me, promoted and elevated me to a higher place, where I can perform top performances for His Glory alone. What happened? NOW GOD can use me effectively because I'm all broken.

Matthew 5:3 (Amplified Bible)

Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

ILLUSTRATION: I'm always the insignificant one, rejected and ignored. GOD is the Only One who sees a use for me. Only GOD is my Master! And this is forever.

Our Perfect, Infinite Example is the LORD JESUS Himself, as a human being, He can't be promoted to the throne, He has to go to the cross first.

Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)

Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, ENDURED THE CROSS, DESPISING AND IGNORING THE SHAME, AND IS NOW SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE THRONE OF GOD.

For You Alone, LORD JESUS like You, I will endure the my cross, deny myself

Luke 14:27 (Amplified Bible)

Whoever does not persevere and carry his own cross and come after (follow) Me cannot be My disciple.

Matthew 10:38 (Amplified Bible)

And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conforming wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also] is not worthy of Me.

In Psalms Chapter 77, we will see Asaph pouring out his heart before GOD because He was being broken first by the LORD so that He can be used as a broken vessel.

Another example we have is Job, who experienced demotion (humiliation according to it's Hebrew word)and then promotion.

Job 1:21-22 (Amplified Bible)

And said, Naked (without possessions) came I [into this world] from my mother’s womb, and naked (without possessions) shall I depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed (praised and magnified in worship) be the name of the Lord!

In all this Job sinned not nor charged God foolishly.

Another example is King David, before He was king, he was then a shepherd and a slave to all his brothers.

1 Samuel 16:11-12 (Amplified Bible)

Then [he] said to Jesse, Are all your sons here? [Jesse] said, There is yet the youngest; he is tending the sheep. Samuel said to Jesse, Send for him; for we will not sit down to eat until he is here.

Jesse sent and brought him. David had a healthy reddish complexion and beautiful eyes, and was fine-looking. The Lord said [to Samuel], Arise, anoint him; this is he.

Another example of a person who experienced demotion or humiliation before promotion or exaltation is king Joseph, the dreamer.

Joseph's time of demotion and humiliation:

Genesis 37:28 (Amplified Bible)

Then as the Midianite [and Ishmaelite] merchants were passing by, the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the well. And they sold him for twenty pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took Joseph [captive] into Egypt.

Genesis 39:1 (Amplified Bible)

AND JOSEPH was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain and chief executioner of the [royal] guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there.

Genesis 39:19-20 (Amplified Bible)

And when [Joseph’s] master heard the words of his wife, saying to him, This is the way your servant treated me, his wrath was kindled.

And Joseph’s master took him and put him in the prison, a place where the state prisoners were confined; so he was there in the prison.

Joseph even became servant of prisoners, what a humiliation!

Genesis 40:6 (Amplified Bible)

When Joseph came to them in the morning and looked at them, he saw that they were sad and depressed.

Joseph's time of promotion and exaltation:

Genesis 35:24 (Amplified Bible)

The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.

Genesis 37:3 (Amplified Bible)

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children because he was the son of his old age, and he made him a [distinctive] long tunic with sleeves.

Genesis 37:5 (Amplified Bible)

Now Joseph had a dream and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him still more.

Genesis 39:4-6 (Amplified Bible)

So Joseph pleased [Potiphar] and found favor in his sight, and he served him. And [his master] made him supervisor over his house and he put all that he had in his charge.

From the time that he made him supervisor in his house and over all that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the Lord’s blessing was on all that he had in the house and in the field.

And [Potiphar] left all that he had in Joseph’s charge and paid no attention to anything he had except the food he ate. Now Joseph was an attractive person and fine-looking.

Genesis 39:22 (Amplified Bible)

And the warden of the prison committed to Joseph’s care all the prisoners who were in the prison; and whatsoever was done there, he was in charge of it.

Genesis 41:14 (Amplified Bible)

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. But Joseph [first] shaved himself, changed his clothes, and made himself presentable; then he came into Pharaoh’s presence.

Genesis 41:39 (Amplified Bible)

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Forasmuch as [your] God has shown you all this, there is nobody as intelligent and discreet and understanding and wise as you are.

Genesis 41:44-55 (Amplified Bible)

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphenath-paneah and he gave him Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, to be his wife. And Joseph made an [inspection] tour of all the land of Egypt.

Joseph [who had been in Egypt thirteen years] was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went [about his duties] through all the land of Egypt.

In the seven abundant years the earth brought forth by handfuls [for each seed planted].

And he gathered up all the [surplus] food of the seven [good] years in the land of Egypt and stored up the food in the cities; he stored away in each city the food from the fields around it.

And Joseph gathered grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it could not be measured.

Now to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, whom Asenath daughter of Potiphera, the priest of On, bore to him.

And Joseph called the firstborn Manasseh [making to forget], For God, said he, has made me forget all my toil and hardship and all my father’s house.

And the second he called Ephraim [to be fruitful], For [he said] God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

When the seven years of plenty were ended in the land of Egypt,

The seven years of scarcity and famine began to come, as Joseph had said they would; the famine was in all [the surrounding] lands, but in all of Egypt there was food.

But when all the land of Egypt was weakened with hunger, the people [there] cried to Pharaoh for food; and Pharaoh said to [them] all, Go to Joseph; what he says to you, do.

In Genesis 41:44, GOD confirmed then when Pharaoh said "Go to Joseph" and Joseph's name means "let him add", Pharaoh, never knowing what he really said, said thus "Go to the One who adds" and it's the LORD JESUS not Joseph. You are miserable and you live in poverty, always go to JESUS and He will Add. Don't think that JESUS is far away from you , GOD is training you through all these depresessions so your endurance will start to grow.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You have given me the Kingdom of Heaven because of You in my life that is the Significant One dwelling in an insignificant man.
