I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE TASK TO SPEAK ON JUSTIFIED BY THE BLOOD
AND VERY BRIEFLY I WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOUR ATTENTION
TO THE ROMANS 5TH CHAPTER --VERSES 6-11
Romans 5:6-11 (KJV) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
[7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
[8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
[10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled,
we shall be saved by his life.
[11] And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the
atonement.
THE WORD OF GOD FOR THE CHILDREN OF GOD
VERY BRIEFLY I WANT TO REASON WITH YOU ON THE THOUGHT (JUSTIFIED BY THE BLOOD)
MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS
One of the most important questions ever asked in the history of humankind is,
How then can man be justified with God?
This question becomes more crucial as we seek to understand our relationship to God.
Justification is an act whereby people’s legal standing in heaven is changed and they are given a new standing before
God.
Justification is an act of God in the unique experience of salvation
Justification is a divine act whereby an infinitely Holy God judicially declares a believing sinner to be righteous and
acceptable before Him because Christ has borne the sinner’s sin on the cross and has become “to us . . . righteousness”
Justification springs from the fountain of God’s grace
It is operative as the result of the redemptive and propitiatory sacrifice of Christ, who has settled all the claims of the law
In this marvelous operation of God the infinitely holy Judge judicially declares righteous the one who believes in
Jesus
A justified believer emerges from God’s great courtroom with a consciousness that another, his Substitute, has borne
his guilt and that he stands without accusation before God
And it`s important to understand that
Justification makes no one righteous, neither is it the bestowment of righteousness as such, but rather
it declares one to be justified whom God sees as perfected once and forever in His beloved Son.
Christ did not die so that we could be made lovable; Christ died because God already loved us and wanted
to bring us close to himself.
God made us right in his sight through the blood of Christ shed on the cross
Romans 3:25 (KJV) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare
his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Because God is holy, he could not accept us by simply disregarding or ignoring our sins.
Instead, those sins had to be dealt with. And God did this through the sacrificial death of his Son.
Again, this justification is God’s approval, given to us only on the basis of what Christ did.
It is an acquittal that sets free all of us who were otherwise hopeless prisoners of sin.
If Christ’s blood was shed on our behalf, then his blood will certainly save us from God’s judgment.
It`s important to understand that
We were weak and helpless because we could do nothing on our own to save ourselves.
Someone had to come and rescue us.
Not only did Christ come at a good time in history; he came at exactly the right time—according to God’s own
schedule.
And God controls all history, and he controlled the timing, methods, and results of Jesus death.
BUT IN THE TEXT BEFORE US PAUL REMINDS US While we were still sinners— these are amazing words.
God sent Jesus Christ to die for us, not because we were good enough, but because he loved us.
AND Whenever you feel uncertain about God’s love for you, remember that he loved you even before you
turned to him.
AND If God loved us when we were rebels, he can surely strengthen us, now that we love him in return.
