Summary: Life is not always measured by failures and successes? Often we measure life by how many times we try? Get up and try again.

FATIGUED---DUE SEASON: PREDICAMENT... DILEMMA... PERSISTENT

Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com

I HAVE A METAL COAT HANGER. I keep bending and bending it. It will break after many times.

Robert Wise tells on an experience that he had. Seems a friend called him every Monday morning.

The call went something like this: HELLO, THIS IS GOD. I HAVE A GIFT FOR YOU TODAY. I WANT TO GIVE YOU THE GIFT OF FAILING. TODAY YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SUCCEED. I GRANT YOU THAT.

This is the pure Gospel: GOD'S LOVE SAYS TO BELIEVERS, IT IS OK IF YOU FAIL. JUST BE YOU.

IF YOU FALL GET UP AND TRY AGAIN...

DO WE UNDERSTAND THE WORD FATIGUE?

BEING TIRED AND FATIGUED MAKES HEROS TO BE COWARDS...

FATIGUE: WEARY, EXHAUSTION TO CAUSE ONE TO LOSS POWER AND DESIRE TO QUIT.

The state of being tired, extreme weariness. The tendency to break after being bent many times.

Galatians 6:7 (MSG) Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!— 8 harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life. 9 So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit. 10 Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.

UNDERSTAND DUE SEASON OR DIVINE TIMING...

Galatians 6:9 (KJV) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 (NLT) So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Galatians 6:9 (MSG) So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit.

DUE SEASON? We live is a day of instant! Microwave? Instant mashed potatoes no peeling. Instant coffee one cup at a time? WE DESIRE INSTANT GRATIFACATION!

Psalm 104:27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

It is amazing what we can remember. Remember the commercial of the old lady looking at the bun and saying:

WHERE IS THE BEEF?

Remember the sad commercial of the old lady laying on the ground and saying: I HAVE FALLEN AND I CAN'T GET UP!

That is a sad predicament.

Many times in life we face persistent, difficult problems. Often our choices and options can be distressing and painful.

PERDICAMENT: a difficult or unpleasant situation.

A TRYING OR DIFFICULT OR PERPLEXING SITUATION.

DILEMMA: a hard situation in which you have to make a difficult choice. Often an unpleasant choice.

PERSISTENT: To continue to try to do something that is difficult and facing many obstacles trying to force you to stop.

To exist for a long time with little real change. to refuse to be interrupted, refuse to be hindered.

MANY TIMES IN LIFE WE BUILD ON INVALID CONCLUSIONS.

One such conclusion is: WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GETS GOING.

This is probably not true. THE HONEST ANSWER IS: IT IS EASIER TO QUIT THAN CORRECT?

WE SEEM TO WANT TO FOCUS ON OUR FAILURES... GOD SAYS: FOCUS ON YOUR THE BATTLE --- YOU CAN WIN...

FAILURE MIGHT BE ABOUT WHO YOU TALK TO...

ASK SHIMEI AS DAVID IS CROSSING THE RIVER IN A FERRY BOAT...

SHIMEI CURSES DAVID AND THROWS ROCKS AT HIM...

SHIMEI WAS SAUL'S FAMILY AND HE EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE PALACE.

SHIMEI KNEW DAVID'S FAILURES, HE HEARD THE RUMORS AND HE SPREAD THEM...

DAVID WRITES PSALMS 51... THE GREATEST CHAPTER IN THE BIBLE ON REPENTANCE.

DAVID PENS THE WORDS: THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD...

DON'T LISTEN TO SHIMEI?

LET US ASK GOD ABOUT DAVID?

Acts 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

GOD SAYS: I KNOW DAVID AS A FRIEND! DAVID KNEW HOW TO FALL FORWARD.

I WOULD LOVE TO TEACH MY SONS AND MY FRIENDS:

SONS, FAIL FORWARD... FAILURE CAN BE A GREAT TEACHER.

Study failure. Great people have failed. Virtually nothing is done perfect the first time.

Only easy things are done right the first time.

FAILURE IS THE FINGERPRINT OF EFFORT...

EFFORT AND FAILURE ARE TEAM MATES.

REAL FAILURE IS BIRTHED WHEN YOU THROW IN THE TOWEL TO QUIT.

THERE IS A VERSE I LOVE THAT MANY SKIP OVER...

If you are looking for a clean barn you have missed reality.

A clean barn means you are doing nothing...

Proverbs 14:4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

Where there is manure, there is life. Real life.

GREEN GRASS MEANS HIGHER WATER BILLS, FERTILIZER AND WORK.

SIR, WHY ARE YOU SITTING THERE CRYING? EVERYBODY CAN SEE YOU CRYING?

Will you listen to my story?

Jesus warned me!

I slept through PRAYER MEETING!

I GRABBED MY SWORD AND IN ANGER CUT A MAN'S EAR OFF.

I speak to quickly, I wear my foot in my mouth too often. I speak when I should keep my mouth shut.

I rebuked Jesus, God's son.

I WARMED WITH THE WRONG CROWD...

Mark 14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

SURE, I AM CRYING, I FAILED... BUT I FAILED FORWARD... I CHANGED MY ATTITUDES AND MY LIFE... I PREACHED THE FIRST SERMON ... I SPOKE BOLDLY...

Acts 2:12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

PEOPLE MAY PERCEIVE ME AS IGNORANT AND UNLEARNED, BUT MY FAILURE LANDED ME AT JESUS' FEET. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DENY MY SAVIOR.

IT IS TIME, HIGH TIME, DUE SEASON THAT WE SEE THE ENEMY THROWS UP OUR FAILURES... BUT OUR FAILURES ARE OPPORTUNITIES TO BURN OFF PRIDE AND EXCESS...

There are 3 young men, not perfect but trying. They fall down. Everyone sees them fall...

Daniel 3:23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

The three Hebrew boys may have fallen down in the fire...

Daniel 3:24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

The only fall burn of the things which bound the men. They never smelled like smoke...

It has been suggested they were walking around to stay warm...

THOSE THAT THREW THEM IN THAT DAY DIED...

THE SECRET OOF THE FALL WAS JESUS WAS IN THE FIRE WITH THEM.

3 WALK OUT... JESUS IS STILL IN THE FIRE FOR WHEN WE FALL.

THE BURNING FLAMES BURN OF THE THINGS THAT BIND US...

DO YOU WANT TO DISCUSS FAILUR FIRST CLASS?

LOOK AT A BORN LOSER IN DUE TIME?

There was a boy born in a poverty area to a poor family. At 14 he dropped out of school? He got a job on a farm and hated it. At 16 he wanted to "get out of there." So he lied about his age and joined the army. He hated it. He never stayed in the army. He got a job in a black smith shop? He hated it and quit. At 18 he got a girl pregnant so he married her. He got a job fixing tires, and he got fired. He came home one day and his wife was gone and gave everything they had away. He was an adult and returned home to live with his mom. He got a good job with the railroad and quit it. He tried college and he failed. He got a job at a gas station and failed? He sold insurance and failed... AT 65 HE WAS A FAILURE...FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE HE HAD A DEPENDABLE CHECK COMING IN... HE RECEIVED $105.00 A MONTH SOCIAL SERCUITY...WHEN MOST WOULD HAVE QUIT, HE WAS JUST STARTING... HE OPENED A LITTLE PLACE ON US 25 AND STARTED COOKING FRIED CHICKEN. ONE DAY A LIMOUSINE PULLED UP OUTSIDE. A MILLIONAIRE NAMED JOHN Y. BROWN CAME IN TO EAT THE CHICKEN. YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY. COLONEL HARLAN SANDERS AND KFC... FINGER LICKING GOOD... KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN.

CONCLUSION: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER QUIT, TRY AGAIN.
