John 8:51King James Version (KJV)
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
Beloved, the Word of God, the Bible says is sharper than a double edged sword, even to the asunder of soul and spirit, bone and marrow, is a discerner of the thoughts of the heart and the Word of God is quick and powerful.
Beloved this is a weapon that every Christian must wield in his hands, body, soul and spirit. This means the Word and its revelation should be readily available for your access or at your finger tips. Also it's effect should manifest in your flesh. The Word should be in your head to be able to come to you everytime and the Word should also be in your heart for use during spiritual encounters.
If the Word is not in your spirit with the revelation of it, which makes it a rhema to you, it is of no effect.
To keep the Word, it has to be in your spirit. The word translated as keep in our scripture is the Greek word *tereõ* and one of the meanings of this word is *to guard from loss or injury properly by keeping the eye upon*.
Beloved, to keep the Word therefore means to guard yourself properly from injury or loss, in the best and most efficient way without any loopholes by keeping your eyes upon the Word. That is to focus on the Word, study it, know it, believe in it and apply it.
Jesus said when we do this, we shall never see death. That is we shall never face eternal damnation or suffer in the eternal fire of hell.
Jesus means the bodies of those who keep His Word which is corruption would be put away by them going to sleep and He will raise them from their sleep with incorruptible bodies to be with Him forever.
So those who keep His Word would go to sleep here on earth to be raised by Jesus on the other side for eternal joy and satisfaction to glorify God.
Beloved let's keep His Word and be part of those who would not face death. Also let us not be selfish to keep His Word alone but let us go out there and spread this Word that we know and teach people to keep Him by making them know Jesus who would give them Precious Holy Spirit who is the inexhaustible Word of God who will live in them forever if they accept Jesus.
Beloved go out there and evangelise to bring the world to God. Tell them all about Jesus for *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. Let the name of the Lord be glorified.
Prayer: Father, please give is the wisdom to preach and teach your Word for all to understand and keep it, in the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
