Summary: Jesus was crucified and His blood was shed so that we would not have to be burdened by the cares of this world.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

The New International version writes it this way

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

When I saw this verse. I had to read it 2 or 3 times then I understood what the Lord was saying and it stopped all the lies of the enemy from operating in my life. I was very excited that I could cast all my anxiety, all my worries and all my cares onto Jesus and I am to do that because He cares for us all.

God does not care for me alone He loves us all and therefore He cares for everyone on of us equally. The same way He loves us is the same way that He cares for us.

God who is Love does care for us all.

Looking at another translation it written this way

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you - NLT

Throw all your worry on Him, because he cares for you - ISV

Turn all your anxiety over to God because he cares for you - GW

Jesus Christ through his servant Peter is saying to us to give all our anxieties, our worries and our care to him alone. For us to be in peace we should take that step of faith by giving it all to Him and looking at the scripture we are to give ALL the worries and cares to him and not to hold any back.

Give all our anxieties to Him

Give all our worries to Him

Give all our cares to Him.

Definition of ALL

- The whole amount

- As much as possible

- All manner of hardship

- Completely

- Everything

Jesus does not want us to have any form of anxiety and this is why he says to us that we are to give it all to him. We are not tolerate anxiety and worry in this realm that we are living in. Jesus said so in John 16:33

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Jesus has done it all and we are to be of good cheer instead of been anxious. Being of good cheer will cause us to trust in Him like He said in the book of Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

Therefore in casting all our anxiety or cares onto Him we are to

1. Trust in the LORD

2. Lean not on your own understanding

3. In all our ways we are to submit to Him

4. And by submitting to Him he will make our paths straight.

Having faith in God will cause to cast all our anxiety on him

Having faith in God will cause us to submit to his will for our lives.

The meaning of cast

- Throw something forcefully in a specified direction

- Discharge

- Fling

- Chuck

- To turn

So, Jesus is saying to us all that we are to throw or turn and even direct all our anxiety or cares unto Him. He loves us that much he is waiting for us to give it all to him and not hold anything back, we are to cast it all to Him and not to man. We are to look to Jesus only because the word of God says so in Psalms 146:3

Do not put your trust in princes,

Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

And also in Jeremiah 17:5

Thus says the Lord:

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man

And makes flesh his strength,

Whose heart departs from the Lord.

And in Psalms 118:8

It is better to trust in the Lord

Than to put confidence in man.

The LORD wants us to put our trust in Him alone and not to trust in man, for our help comes from Him only. There is not much that man can do for us But God who is our creator is able to do the impossible in our lives as we choose to trust him with all our heart.

Philippians 4:6-7 says

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. NIV

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. NLT

Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks. Then God’s peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus. GW

2 Timothy 1:7 records

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

God is saying to us that we are the redeemed ones and under a better covenant. He has not given us a spirit of fear but He through his Son Jesus Christ gave us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind, also we are to go to Him in prayer in all situation of life with thanksgiving and His peace that surpasses all understanding will rest on us all.

Fear paralyses the will and plan of God for our lives.

Faith receives all the promises of God for our lives.

Fear is not of God. It's the enemy that brings fear into our lives, and he does it so that we would not have peace with our maker. God is good to all his children and desires that we enjoy him as our Father and has a friend.

Matthew 6: 25-34

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

- Jesus is commanding us not to worry

- He is saying that we are of much value than the birds of the air

- God is saying He knows about it all that nothing is hidden from Him

- Instead of worrying or being stressed we are to seek His kingdom first

- And He that He who is the provider will see to it that we have everything we need to live a godly life.

Jesus actually said to us in the book of Matthew 11:28-30 that we are to do this

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Are we heavy burdened then we are to go to Him and receive His rest for all our labors. And by going to Him let's take His yoke that is easy and His burden that is light. He loves us that much and cares for us all that He wants us to enjoy life and give all troubles to Him. God promised us that He will never leave us or forsake us and in those times of anxiety or worries He will be with us and give us rest on all sides.

So let us rest in His love and trust in Him that He is for us and taking care of your troubles. Giving all to Him and instead of fear there will be freedom.

God cares for us all and there are several scriptures to confirm this. Let's look at some of them.

Psalm 121: 3-4

He will not allow your foot to be moved;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel

Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Matthew 10:30

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Isaiah 49:15

“Can a woman forget her nursing child,

And not have compassion on the son of her womb?

Surely they may forget,

Yet I will not forget you.

James 5:11

Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

This is how much God cares for us all. God loves us. God is loving and caring and does not want us to be wearied or be anxious about anything. Whenever we are feeling the pangs of fear, we need to focus on God's love and ask Him o please help us in our time of need.

The love of God will always cast out that fear and by looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith we can receive his peace into our lives and that situation that seems big will eventually work out for our good.

1 John 4:4 says

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Another translation puts it this way

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

- We belong to God

- We are his children

- He has given us the victory over anxiety

- We have his Spirit living in us

- And his Spirit is greater than he who is in the world

Because we belong to God and His Spirit is living in us, He has by His Spirit given us victory over that circumstance that is giving us fear.

We are overcomer's by the Blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. The Blood was shed to set us free and He whom God sets free is free indeed.

There are so many things in this world that will cause us to be afraid But by trusting in His love we can be more than conquerors in Christ.

God is faithful and He is faithful to the very end. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:13

If we are unfaithful,

he remains faithful,

for he cannot deny who he is.

What He is saying to us is that sometimes we can give in to fear through pressure from within and without but if we confess that sin to God He will be faithful to forgive us and help us to overcome the fear that wants to take over our lives. And this is the faithfulness of our God.

God will never stop loving us whenever we give in to any form of temptation. He is God and is always ready to pour His love on us whenever we call on Him.

His promise in Isaiah 54:14

In righteousness you shall be established;

You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;

And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

And in Psalm 91

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;

My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the Fowler

And from the perilous pestilence.

He shall cover you with His feathers,

And under His wings you shall take refuge;

His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,

Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,

Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,

And ten thousand at your right hand;

But it shall not come near you.

Only with your eyes shall you look,

And see the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,

Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

No evil shall befall you,

Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

For He shall give His angels charge over you,

To keep you in all your ways.

In their hands they shall bear you up,

Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,

The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him and honor him.

With long life I will satisfy him,

And show him My salvation.

This is God's promise to us has we trust in Him and remain in His presence in times of been anxious. For in His presence there is no fear but there is always fullness of joy and at His right hand there are pleasures forever.

Confession

LORD, I choose to cast all my cares unto you and has I give it all to you with thanksgiving I receive your peace in this area that is causing me to walk in fear in Jesus name. Amen
