April 1 is usually known as All fools day. Usually before 12 noon people around the world go around playing all kinds of pranks and practical jokes on their friends. Some of these jokes can be expensive and even cost you your friendship when you carry them too far.
In this prayer session I want to touch on the subject of hallucinations and how to deal with them spiritually.
Let me give you the Wikipedia definition of hallucinations.
A hallucination is said to be a perception in the absence of a stimulus which has qualities of real perception. Hallucinations are vivid, substantial, and located in external objective space. They are distinguished from the related phenomena of dreaming, which does not involve wakefulness; illusion, which involves distorted or misinterpreted real perception; imagery, which does not mimic real perception and is under voluntary control; and pseudohallucination, which does not mimic real perception, but is not under voluntary control. Hallucinations also differ from "delusional perceptions", in which a correctly sensed and interpreted stimulus (i.e. a real perception) is given some additional (and typically bizarre) significance.
Hallucinations can occur in any sensory modality — visual, auditory; a form of hallucination that involves perceiving sounds without auditory stimulus. A common form involves hearing one or more talking voices; olfactory perception is the sense of smell. This sense is mediated by specialized sensory cells of the nasal cavity , olfactory, gustatory; Taste is the sensation produced when a substance in the mouth reacts chemically with receptors of taste buds., tactile; The somatosensory system is a diverse sensory system comprising the receptors and processing centres to produce the sensory modalities such as touch, temperature, proprioception (body position), and nociception (pain)., proprioceptive; from Latin proprius, meaning "one's own", "individual" and perception, is the sense of the relative position of neighbouring parts of the body and strength of effort being employed in movement.[1] It is distinguished from exteroception, by which one perceives the outside world, and interoception, by which one perceives pain, hunger, etc., and the movement of internal organs., equilibrioceptive, nociceptive, thermoceptive and chronoceptive.
All these things in hallucination mean a state or situation where your body somehow believes it is perceiving that these senses we have mentioned are happening to it while in actual fact they are not. It usually occurs in a state where you are awake.
Though we know from this prayer line a lot about dreams, we want to specifically address the issue of deception while awake.
The greatest work of the accuser brethren is the art of deception. Making you and I to perceive a situation is what it is when it is far from reality. Reality in a sense can be defined as seeing situations as God purposed them to be.
You can imagine that it would be in the eternal and satisfying interest of the Enemy to ensure that you and I never see things the way God wants them to be,
There are different reasons why the enemy can succeed in this mission.
One is of course by using the things we want to happen, that is our aspirations to move us to his will, or our comforts to move us to his will and away from the will of God.
A good example of this is in Luke 4 when Jesus had just finished 40 days of fasting and prayer, imagine that kind of situation without food for so long and you’re in the flesh, your mind will easily play games with you.
Satan Tempts Jesus
4 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into[a] the wilderness, 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
3 And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4 But Jesus answered him, saying,[b] “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”[c]
5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him[d] all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
8 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan![e] For[f] it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”[g]
9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. 10 For it is written:
‘He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you,’
11 and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”[h]
12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”[i]
13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
At that time of course the enemy tried to use pleasures and mind games to get Jesus to somehow relinquish His authority and birthright as the first born. Thank God for the presence and strengthening power of God on Him at that critical time. The Word of course was what saved the word in the flesh.
Another good example of how hallucination comes into the existence of people is in Romans 1;18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
Also when the individual has no spiritual leadership or no proper leadership
Zechariah 10:2 says
For the teraphim (household idols) have spoken vanity (emptiness, falsity, and futility) and the diviners have seen a lie and the dreamers have told false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people go their way like sheep; they are afflicted and hurt because there is no shepherd.
Jeremiah 23:26-28
Amplified Bible (AMP)
26 [How long shall this state of things continue?] How long yet shall it be in the minds of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, even the prophets of the deceit of their own hearts,
27 Who think that they can cause My people to forget My name by their dreams which every man tells to his neighbor, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal?
28 The prophet who has a dream, let him tell his dream; but he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What has straw in common with wheat [for nourishment]? says the Lord.
False spiritual leadership can also lead to hallucinations.
Jeremiah 29:8
For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Let not your [false] prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you; pay no attention and attach no significance to your dreams which you dream or to theirs,
Ecclesiastes 5:7
For in a multitude of dreams there is futility and worthlessness, and ruin in a flood of words. But [reverently] fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is
As we have been taught before on this prayer line, the mind is the meeting point, the ground zero for dream processing. So it is for processing things while we are awake.
Both good and evil forces meet at this confluence of each individual human being and the aim is to input positive or negative stimuli to this receptor. The mind and soul collect the information, process it and make a decision as to how it will be used.
So when an individual is awake, he receives the stimulus, through images and illustrations and suggestions programmed earlier by the force in question, either good or bad.
When we also have allowed impure thought into our system, the result is an opportunity for the accuser to suggest to our minds and we accept it as fact. This happened so many times. Look at John the Baptist Luke 7;18-20 18 Then the disciples of John reported to him concerning all these things. 19 And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”
20 When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’” 21 And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.
22 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. 23 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” and Matthew 11:3
Whatever has eternally wrong with my destiny because I have moved with hallucinations Lord correct now in Jesus name.
Lord separate me from your reality and hallucinations.
O Lord close every door that is opened for hallucinations to play with my life
