WEARY---

I was traveling yesterday and was listening to the news on my radio. The word WEARY popped up on the face of the radio. I thought this very strange? WEARY, what does that mean. I kept looking over at the radio and it said: WEARY? As I traveled the word WEARY just stayed there? I have never had just one word be there and stay there? So I started ruminating about WEARY?
What does weary mean?
How do we get there?
How long will we stay there?
Is the way to overcome this?
HOW CAN WE FIX WEARINESS OF MIND? Will the BIG GIANTS KILL US? How can we kill BIG GIANTS?
*WEARY: Aimless, heavy, burdened, exhausted,
*Fatigued, tired, weary eyes, weary brain, impatient, dissatisfied.
*Physically or mentally exhausted by hard work, exertion, stain, disappointments.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:9 (MSG) So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit. 10 Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.
WHAT MAKES SENSE TO ME? WHAT DOES A PERSON THAT JUST WENT BANKRUPT DO?
They go out and get new credit cards with higher interest rates? They go to rental centers? Pay 5 times the value?
They go to a car lot and buy and pay weekly?
Weary, we are weary? What do we do?
HOW ARE WE BENT? IN THE PROCESS OF TIME SEEMS MANY BECOME TRAPPED IN THEIR OWN NATURUAL BENT.
ESAU becomes a son of the desert, in the perilous life style of a wild angry hunter.
Esau lived recklessly and sold his birthright. He often tried to regain his blessings but could never accomplish that.
ESAU’S FAMILY BECAME KNOWN AS THE EDOMITES.
EDOMITES WERE KNOWN TO BE MEAN, CRUEL AND ANGRY.
If you will recall the Edomites refused to allow Moses and the Israelites to pass through their land even though they offered to pay for their passage.
There was a famous EDOMITE, he was named DOEG. King Saul was mad at David and tried to get someone to KILL ALL THE PREACHERS. Everyone refused to touch the anointed of God.
ONE DOEG THE EDOMITE VOLUNTEERS, I WILL GLAD KILL THE PREACHERS, AND HE KILLED 85 PREACHERS, ONE ESCAPED…
THE FIRST TIME I SEE WEARY IN THE BIBLE --- IT IS A WOMAN… THE PROCESS OF TIME BRINGS ABOUT DISAPPOINTMENTS SO DEEP IN HER FAMILY. HER SON, ESAU HAS MARRIED SOME “STRANGE” WOMEN, SO HER DAUGHTER IN LAWS WAS USED TO PUNISH THE MOTHER AND FATHER.
I KNOW THIS HAD TO HURT HIS MOM AND DAD, BUT WHO HAD TO LIVE WITH AND SMELL THE BAD BREATH OF THIS SPITE WIVES?
Esau re-enforced his bent?

JACOB became a shepherd, a home body.
I FEEL SO SORRY FOR REBEKAH, THE PAIN BECAME WEARINESS OF LIFE.
SHE WANTED NO MORE OF THIS… WEARINESS…
Genesis 27:46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
DO WE UNDERSTAND THE BATTLE OF FAMILY LIFE CAN BE REAL SPIRITUAL WEARINESS.
A divided house can not stand.
LIFE CAN BE MEAN AND CRUEL, EVERYONE SEEMS TO LOOK FOR A PLACE TO UNLOAD THEIR OWNERSHIP OF PAIN AND DISAPPOINTMENTS.
THERE ONCE WAS A SHIP NAMED PELICANO, IT WAS CALLED THE MOST UNWANTED SHIP IN THE WORLD.
**PELICANO
The Pelicano was in the open seas over two years. Over 11 countries refused to allow the ship to dock at a port.
No one wanted the ship or the crew. The ship sailed the Caribbean, West Africa, The Mediterranean Sea, and the Indian Ocean. The ship was allowed to dock long enough to refuel and buy supplies and it was forced back to sea.
Pelicano changed it’s name several times hoping to find a port that would allow them a haven. It even changed ownership.
See, 1986, there was a garbage strike and a month’s worth of garbage accumulated. So the city of loved burned or incinerated all the trash and the Pelicano was a trash ship from Philadelphia. Philedelphia, the city of love, had tried to get Ohio to take the garbage, Ohio refused. Later Georgia refused. So 14,000 TONS of garbage, rotting trash, toxic elements including lead and arsenic was loaded on Pelicano and she was to take the trash to some place that would accept it. NO ONE, NO NATION WOULD ACCEPT, THE TRASH THAT THE HUGE SHIP HAD TAKEN ON BOARD.
THE LONGER WE CARRY THE TRASH THE STINKIER AND MORE TOXIC IT BECOMES. Think about the disappointments in life, the bitterness, the anger, the compromise, the fear, the negativism? Then we become so burdened down with daily issues of the accumulation of on menial daily garbage. (Thanks Tony Evans)
THE PEACHER WAS WEARY AND JUST WANTED TO DIE.
ELIJAH WAS RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE, HE WAS WEARY. LIFE HAD BEEN MEAN TO HIM….
WHAT DID HE DO?
1 Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
THE FATHER KNEW ELIJAH WAS TIRED, WEARY, WOREN. GOD HAD A PLAN
1 Kings 19:5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. 6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. 7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
R&R, God had the Preacher to sleep, eat, rest, sleep eat and rest.
DOUGLAS MACARTHUR in Philippines. His men were WEARY. They left with a promise: I SHALL RETURN.
After a season of rest and planning, MacArthur returned for a great victory!
JESUS PROMISED THE WEARY REST AND PEACE. HE WILL GIVE

INVITATIONS?
I ONCE READ ABOUT A MISSIONARY IN MICRONESSIA. They were ministry to a new culture of people called the YAP.
One day a large family from the YAP tribe came to visit the missionaries very early in the morning. They visited and talked and talked and talked and talked. The missionary was exhausted and had some meetings to attend and the large family just stayed and stayed. The missionary did not know what to do? The missionary had a YAP man come to his door and he explained his pickle. The man that was a YAP explained something to the missionary. In their tribe it was very rude to come to visit anyone and leave. He explained that the YAP family was very tired and would love to leave, but they could not leave until the HOST EXCUSED THEM AND TOLD THEM: IT IS TIME TO LEAVE. So the missionary went into his house and said: IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO LEAVE. Seems everyone had a sigh of relieve.
JESUS HAS AN INVITATION: COME UNTO ME…
JESUS INVITED LAZARUS, COME FORTH BOY…
John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
ZACHCHAEUS: COME DOWN

JESUS INVITES US TO COME TO THE REUNION OF THE AGES.
COME AND STAY…
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
CONCLUSION:
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
THE PELICANO SHIP NO LONGER EXIST. THE SHIP WAS CUT UP INTO SCRAPE METAL AND MELTED TO BE RECYCLED.
WHO KNOWS THAT CHEVY OR FORD YOU ARE DRIVING MIGHT HAVE BEEN PART OF THE SHIP THAT NO ONE WANTED.
DID YOU KNOW GOD RECYCLES PEOPLE? Never give up, never give in, this too shall pass.
WHY WOULD YOU REFUSE THE PROMISE OF REFRESHING AND TO SLAY THE WEARINESS?
Isaiah 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
Jesus invites us to come and to stay.
