Topic: THE EVIL AGAINST YOU
John 18:28-32 King James Version (KJV)
28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
30 They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
Beloved, anytime liars or haters want to bring you down or destroy you, check their statements or the plot they speak, it's always empty and meaningless. It usually has no content, just general statements suggesting an offence but no exact statement to tell an offence and evidence to prove it.
Their statements are based on assumptions and not anything actual; especially when they are fellow Christians, colleagues, friends or people close to you who others would believe when they say something about you.
So we see the Jews themselves taking their own kinsman, JESUS, to Pilate and when they were asked the charges, they just made a blanket statement "if He was not an evil doer we wouldn't bring Him to you".
These liars try to observe certain principles or rules and regulations in order not to incriminate themselves or put themselves in a state where people would call them defiled or unworthy.
Meanwhile what they are doing to you makes them more unworthy than any other thing.
We see the Jews not entering the judgement hall in order not to defile themselves so they could eat Passover but were happily and boldly lying to get Jesus killed.
Boldly going against the commandments that asks them not to kill and that which says they shouldnt bear false witness against a neighbour.
They were observing a law or tradition that was open for all to see whiles they committed a hidden crime, or a crime in disguise.
Beloved, these liars and murderers around us who want to look clean and good in the eyes of all would always pass you on for others to crucify you whiles they support so that they don't look like the main culprits when they are actually the only culprits and all others are like puppets they are pushing here and there.
The Jews pushed Jesus to Pilate to force him to sentence Jesus to death himself.
Beloved we are living with Christians and colleagues and friends who are like these Jews, seeking to destroy us day in day out.
Our prayers on a daily basis, like Jesus taught us should include, "Lord, deliver us from evil". Jesus needs to deliver us from their hands always otherwise they would scheme to destroy or finish us.
Jesus has given us victory over all these things and made us more than conquerors. Our prayers and declarations are to claim this victory for us always. So we walk in this victory everyday without fail and also approach any matter from a position of victory that's already been won by one who is more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Beloved if we live that, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else we will go through the rough times and the hard times, face the challenges and wickedness of this world and it's people but they will never prevail against us in Jesus name. Amen.
Prayer: Father, deliver us from evil and keep us. May you always give us witnesses and helpers to speak to our advantage in every situation to the glory of your holy name. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
