John 21:15-17 King James Version (KJV)
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Beloved, the Lord despite all the prophecies and word about you or for you needs to be sure that you are sure of yourself and are ready to fulfil the purpose for which all the prophecies about you have been spoken and written.
Jesus asked Peter the same question three times not to infuriate him or frustrate him, but to make him be sure of himself and know what he is about to go through and what Jesus is about to use him to build.
Jesus asked Peter the same question three times in the presence of the disciples to establish Peter's authority and also make Peter accountable to the disciples by owing to them a duty.
Beloved can Jesus trust you with what He has given you, can He trust you to be diligent in your work and fulfil the purpose for which He has given you what you have.
Beloved, do you acknowledge the resposibilities you have as a chosen child of God?
Are you ready to handle these responsibilities?
Beloved you need to answer these questions to God Almighty and yourself and be true to Him and yourself.
*IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. Just focus on Jesus, what He has given to you and be real and true to Him always.
This is what gives fulfilment in life, service to God and doing His will.
Let's take up our responsibilities and work, for the harvest is ready but the workers are few.
Prayer: Father please empower me to do your work and do it diligently to the glory of your name. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
