One-Minute Sermon

HOPE GIVERS AND RECEIVERS!

God wants us to be both hope givers and hope receivers. Romans 15:13 (KJV) Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

I We are saved by hope. Romans 8:24 (KJV) For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

A. We get hope from hearing the Word of God and then acting upon the Word.

1. We first hear and then hope.

II. Our hope makes us joyful for what we can have in Christ. Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

A. Hope then helps us to be patient in trouble, testing and tribulation,

III. Overflowing hope comes from the Holy Spirit as we live and walk in the spirit, Romans 15:13 (KJV) Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

IV. HOPE GIVERS. We cannot give people faith but as we share what God has done for us it gives them hope that what happen to us can happen to them.

A. Hope is a like a basket that hold faith.

B. Without the basket called hope we cannot hold on to our faith.

1. There are no hopeless situations; there are only people who have grown hopeless about them.

LET US ALL BE HOPE BASKETS FOR THE LORD FULL AND RUNNING OVER GIVING HOPE TO OTHERS SO THAT THEY TOO CAN RECEIVE FROM THE LORD!
