Acts 9:23-25 King James Version (KJV)
23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
Beloved, there are many times that the enemy has planned evil against us, set a trap that he knows we cannot escape for us and waits for us to be trapped and disgraced then he can steal from us, destroy us and or kill us.
Beloved, in all these times the Lord God Almighty delivers us from his traps. We miss them without knowing and sometimes we get in and escape without being disgraced or killed or destroyed or stolen from.
There are times when, for others their escape has been through death. We most a times don't understand this particular mode but our Lord God knows best and may He give us the understanding and comfort we need whenever we find ourselves in such situations.
A person's soul being saved especially after his purpose on this earth is accomplished is more important and beneficial to God than the person continuing to live, and getting into other things to miss or lose his salvation.
Beloved, as Paul was delivered by God Almighty from the hands of his enemies, so shall we also be delivered from the hands of our enemies.
The traps they set shall destroy they themselves and they that belong to them. Their traps cannot destroy us for we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us first.
Beloved, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. Once our motive is all about Him and serving Him, and we lay our lives down to do anything for His work to go on so long as He strengthens us to, we know that no matter what happens to us, our souls shall escape from the hands of the enemy like a bird from the fowler's snare.
No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and we will live to serve and worship God. To declare His good works to the nations and win many many souls to the glory of God. Amen.
Prayer: Lord God Almighty, my enemies lie in wait for me to steal from me, destroy me and kill me. I beseech you to deliver me from their hands. Have mercy on them and offer them the opportunity to change from their evil ways. Let them come to know you and worship you. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
