Topic: LET YOUR LIFE PLEASE GOD

Acts 10:1-4 King James Version (KJV)

10 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Glory to the God Almighty we serve, who is a rewarder of they that diligently seek Him.

Beloved, Cornelius had characteristics which I think every Christian should possess.

1. *He was a devout man* - he was committed to his faith and was diligent in his worship of God Almighty.

2. *He was God-fearing* - he revered God greatly. He respected God and honoured Him.

3. *He gave much alms* - he gave always. He had the spirit to freely give at anytime. He didn't look at what He had or didn't have, he gave and gave from his heart.

4. *He was a man of prayer* - he prayed to God always. He prayed without ceasing.

Beloved, Cornelius didn't do this alone but also instilled this way of life in his household. Everybody in his house followed this way of life.

Beloved this way of life is a life of thanksgiving and praise to God. It is a life of testimony showing what God has done for you and appreciating Him for all who come close or are with you to see and know your God.

It is a life of constant worship and glorification of God Almighty.

Beloved this way of life is a very fulfilling way to live. You are always content and lack nothing.

If all of us, every single Christian, rich or poor, black or white, tall or short would put the four major characteristics of Cornelius and his household into practise the Christian community would be the best place to be and all who are not Christians would yearn to be part of us. We would be envied by all.

Beloved when we acknowledge that in all we do and in our whole life as Christians, *ITS ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. We would live a better life, like Cornelius practised if not better than him.

Prayer: Father, Please help me to build a lifestyle that would please you, for myself and my household so we would be in constant worship of you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
