Inspiration and Similarity:

In Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear is given to a boy named Andy Davis from his mother as a birthday present. He also believes that he is a real space ranger, rather than a toy. Buzz Lightyear quickly becomes Andy's favorite toy, making Andy's original favorite toy, a cowboy doll named Sheriff Woody, feel jealous. The effects of Woody's jealousy eventually leads both him and Buzz Lightyear them to be captured by Sid Phillips, the toy-torturing boy who lives next door to Andy's house. While imprisoned in Sid's house, Buzz Lightyear sees his own television ad, and realizes that he is a toy and not a space ranger. Upon understanding this, Buzz Lightyear becomes depressed, but Woody eventually convinces him that it is a good thing. Buzz Lightyear regains hope, and working together, the two escape Sid, return to Andy, and become friends.

We have been deceived for so long, eversince the day of Adam and Eve....

The deceiver/satan’s favorite line:

“Yea, hath God said?”

“Ye shall not surely die:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” (Gen.3:1,4-5)

And Adam’s race continued to a downward miry, decaying, destructing fall...

We all believe we were real Space Rangers with a friend like Woody boxed in a world of toys...

Until we believed we only had Andy to help us and the Bible (television Ads) Which revealed who really are...

Pointing us to the Promise, that in Jesus we are the Seed of Abraham...

Then we begin to discover WHO WE REALLY ARE!

Galatians 3:13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

16Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

29And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

NOW SHALL WE PROCEED FROM THE PROMISE OF WHY WE HAVE AN INITIAL SEED REVEALED IN TODAY’S PREACHING?

Let us all journey to eternity and beyond!

Body:

I- SEED

1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

The Seed you will plant today is blessed

It shall be mighty, strong

It shall be your way to your true happiness.

“...That delighteth greatly in his commandments”

— Who makes it his chief care, business, and delight, to meditate on, understand, and obey God’s commandments.

It is here intimated, that zeal and fervency in God’s service are essential to true piety.

Our seed would not make us grumblers but grateful

II- SECURED

6 SURELY he shall not be moved forever:

the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings:

his heart is FIXED trusting in the LORD.

8His heart is ESTABLISHED he shall not be afraid,

until he see his desire upon his enemies.

9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

This verses are confirmation of the statement contained in the preceding verses...

the confidence which you place in God enables you to rise above all the cares of the present life. Thus, you will have preserve calmness and composedness of mind, and wait patiently till the fit season arrives for taking vengeance upon the reprobate, upon those who have not planted their seeds on God’s soil.

III- SEE

10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved;

he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away:

the desire of the wicked shall perish.

The desire of the wicked shall perish -

He shall not be able to accomplish his desire, or to carry out his purposes. He shall be disappointed, and all his cherished plans will come to nought.

This is in strong contrast with what is said in the psalm would occur to the righteous.

They would be prosperous and happy;

they would be able to carry out their plans;

they would be respected while living, and remembered when dead;

they would find God interposing in their behalf in the darkest hours; they would be firm and calm in the day of danger and of trouble;

they would put their trust in the Lord, and all would be well.

Surely there is an advantage in our world in being a friend of God.(Barnes’Commentary)

Conclusion:

“As you planted your seeds in God’s soil...

Therefore, these would be your everlasting harvest beginning in the suceeding days ahead and on to forever!

REMEMBER THIS PREACHING,

CARRY IT IN YOUR HEART,

TREASURE PSALM112 FOREVER!

IT WILL BE YOUR LEGACY TO THE NEXT GENERATION!!!”
