Summary: God sets the prophet Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones (which represented the house of Israel) for one purpose - to prophesy life. There was so much power and authority in his voice that everything dead in the valley came back to life.

I PROPHESY LIFE

“The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.” Ezekiel 37:1-4

“So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.”

Ezekiel 37:7

God sets the prophet Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones (which represented the house of Israel) for one purpose—to prophesy life.

Ezekiel obeys the voice of God and speaks life to a valley full of dead bones. There was so much power and authority in his voice that everything dead in the valley came back to life.

Some time ago, the word of the Lord came to me and God said, “I am sending you to My people for the same purpose that I sent Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones. I am sending you to prophesy life.”

Just as Ezekiel prophesied life to a valley of dry bones. I prophesy life to you. That which is dead shall live again! I prophesy life to:

• Dead relationships

• Dead marriages

• Dead dreams

• Dead visions

• Dead prophetic words

• Dead finances

Live! Live! Live!

I prophesy life to:

• Dead churches

• Dead ministries

• Dead businesses

Everything in your life that has illegally been crucified or died a premature death will live again! I prophesy life! I prophesy life in the place of death, light in the place of darkness, joy in the place of sorrow, abundance in the place of lack, health in the place of sickness, rain in the place of drought. That which is dead will live again.

I prophesy life!

HAS IT REALLY BEEN DEAD TOO LONG?

You might be thinking, “Man of God, there is no way the thing in my life that is dead could ever life again. It has been dead so long. In fact, it has been dead so long, all hope is gone.”

Maybe there is something in your life that has been dead a long time. Maybe you have given up all hope of there ever being a resurrection. But God’s word to you is: There is nothing so dead that God cannot bring it back to life. There is nothing God cannot do. There is nothing too hard for the Lord!

“Is any thing too hard for the LORD?...” Genesis 18:14

VALLEY OF DRY BONES

Ezekiel 37

In Ezekiel chapter thirty-seven, the bones in the valley had been there for many years. In fact, the house(?) of Israel had been dead for hundreds of years. They were not just dead; they were very dead. They were not just dry; they were very dry.

“And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.” Ezekiel 37:2

These bones were so dead, so dry that when God asked Ezekiel if they could live again. Ezekiel responded by saying he could not answer that. He said,”God, You’re the only One that would know the answer to that question.”

“And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.” Ezekiel 37:3

But even though they had been dead for hundreds of years and were not just dry, but very dry, when Ezekiel began to prophesy, something happened. Things began to change. A miracle took place. There was a noise, a shaking, bones came together and when Ezekiel finished prophesying, a valley of dry bones had come back to life and become an exceeding great army.

“So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.” Ezekiel 37:10

Even though the bones were very dry and they had been dead for hundreds of years, whenever Ezekiel began to prophesy, it released life, and a valley of dry bones turned into a valley of life!

There is nothing so dead that God cannot bring it back to life. Regardless of how dead the thing in your life is, maybe you have given up all hope of ever experiencing a resurrection, but I prophesy change is coming! I prophesy life!

ABRAHAM—SARAH

Genesis 17

”[Abraham] being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb.”

Romans 4:19

Abraham and Sarah were both old. In fact, Abraham was one hundred and Sarah his wife was ninety. The Bible says Abraham was the same as dead and Sarah’s womb was dead. In the natural, there was no way that Sarah could ever conceive and birth a son. She was past the age of child bearing.

“The things which are impossible with men are possible with God…” Luke 18:27

God brought life back to Abraham in his old age and caused Sarah’s dead womb to have life again. As a result, Isaac was born in spite of their old age just like God had promised.

The name Isaac means laughter. Isaac, the son of their old age truly brought them joy and made them laugh. But before the joy came, before they experienced laughter, the things they thought were dead in their lives had to live again.

What is in your life that needs to come back to life? What is it that when it comes back to life will produce joy and laughter? Whatever it is, I prophesy it shall live again!

LAZARUS

John 11

Lazarus had been dead for four days. The human body begins to decay after three days, which means Lazarus’ body was already experiencing corruption or decay.

By the time Jesus arrived at Bethany to the house of Lazarus’ sisters, Mary and Martha, the funeral had already taken place. The body of Lazarus was already in the grave.

Martha said to Jesus, “If You would have been here my brother would not have died.” Jesus immediately informed her that her brother would live again.

Notice that Jesus did not agree with her. Instead, He bgan to speak what was going to bed, not what was: “Your brother shall live again.”

Jesus asked to be taken to Lazarus’ tomb. Once he arrived, he told them to take away the stone. They informed Him why they should not do what He asked them. They said, “Master, he has been dead four days and by this time he stinks.”

Around thirty years ago, I remember preaching a message entitled, “The Stink Won’t Stop God!” In that message, I said God is not afraid of the stink in your life. Let me break it down so you will understand… God is not afraid fo sin, sickness or bondage. He is not afraid of the mess in yoru life! He will turn your mess into a miracle! He will turn your setback into a come back! And He will not only do it in your life, but also in the lives of those you love regardless of the mess or stink in their live! He will make a miracle out of their mess.

Jesus walked up to the tomb and spoke three words that changed everything: “Lazarus, come forth!” There was so much power in His voice that even though Lazarus had been dead for four days, it brought life to his dead body… a body that had already begun to decay.

It didn’t matter how many days he had been dead. It didn’t matter that his body had already begun to decay. At the command of Jesus life took the place of death.

Lazarus walked out of the grave bound with grave clothes and Jesus said loose him and let him go.

“And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” John 11:44

JAIRUS’ DAUGHTER RAISED FROM THE DEAD

Mark 5

Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, had a daughter that was dying. He came to Jesus and fell at his feet. He cried out, “My little girl is sick unto death. Please come lay Your hands on her and heal her that she may live.”

“[Jairus] besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.”

Mark 5:23

Jesus went with him, but the crowd was all around Him. He also stopped and healed a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years. Before He arrived at Jairus’ house, someone came and informed Jairus that his daughter was dead and there was no need to trouble Jesus.

Jesus was not afraid of death. He turned to Jairus and said, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.” Mark 5:36

When they arrived, Jesus took with Him Peter, James and John and went into the house. Everyone was weeping. Jesus said to them, “The child is not dead, she is only sleeping.” His statement seemed so ridiculous, that they laughed Him to scorn.

“And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.” Mark 5:38-39

Jesus took the girls’ father and mother and went to the room where the dead girl was lying. He took her by the hand and commanded her to get up. Immediately, the girl got up.

Jesus spoke to the girl that was dead. He prophesied life to her and what happened? Death had to flee. Once again, we find where life drove back death when Jesus prophesied to that which was dead.

ELISHA RAISES THE SHUNAMITE’S SON

2 Kings 4

A wealthy woman had a room built on her house and furnished it for the prophet Elisha. When Elisha went throughout the area of Shunem, he would stay in this special room.

Elisha prophesied to her one day and told her that in spite of the fact that her husband was old, she was going to have a son within one year.

Just as Elisha prophesied, she gave birth to a son at the time that Elisha prophesied.

“And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.”

2 Kings 4:16-17

A few years later, the boy fell ill while working in the fields with his father and died.

The woman knew where to go. She knew who to go to. She knew who prophesied her son’s birth and who could raise him back from the dead. She immediately went to find the prophet Elisha.

She informed Elisha that she did not ask for a son, but was given one and now he had died.

Elisha instructed his servant Gehazi to go to the child and put his staff on the boy’s face. The servant obeyed but nothing happened.

When Elisha arrived, he went to where the dead child was, shut the door, prayed and stretched himself on the boy’s body and God restored the boy back to life!

This woman’s faith caused her dead child to come back to life. If you can believe like the Shunamite woman that the things dead in your life can also come back to life. Is there anything to hard for the Lord? Genesis 18:14

DEAD BABY COMES BACK TO LIFE

Old Mexico

A number of years ago, while preaching under the tent in Old Mexico, a pregnant woman got in the prayer line to receive a miracle with hundreds of other people.

As the custom usually is, one night during our crusades we have what we call miracle night and on this specific night, I personally lay hands on everyone in the prayer line, regardless of the number of people.

When it was time for this specific woman to receive prayer, I had one of the female missionaries place their hand on the woman’s stomach. I placed my hand on the missionary’s hand and began to pray for the woman and her unborn child. In fact, I began to speak to the child she was carrying, not knowing the baby was dead.

After I prayed for people on what we called, “Miracle Night,” people had the opportunity to come forward and share what God had done for them… to tell the miracle they received with the congregation.

The following was the woman’s testimony:

“A few days ago, I was in a car accident. As a result, the baby I am carrying was killed. I am scheduled to be at the hospital tomorrow to have the dead baby removed. But tonight something happened. When the man of God ministered to me, my baby that was dead began to kick within my womb. My baby is alive! I will not be going to the hospital tomorrow as scheduled to have my dead baby removed—my baby is alive!”

THE DEVIL IS A LIAR

No matter what the devil may be telling you, the devil is a liar. He may be saying things such as:

• You’re too old

• You have missed your opportunity

• You have waited too long

• You don’t have the education you need

• You’re not connected to the right people

What God promised you, He is able to perform!

“…Being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” Romans 4:21

YOUR CURRENT SITUATION

Your Best Is Yet To Come

Your current situation in life does not have to stay the way it is. Things can change in a day. Things can change in a moment.

“…thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” Proverbs 27:1

It’s not over until God says it’s over, and God says it’s not over, it’s just beginning! Your best is yet to come! Everything is about to change. Your tears are going to be turned into joy; your weeping into laughter. New life is coming to the area of your life that is dead. I prophesy your best is yet to come!

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19

“When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Psalm 126:1-3

YOU SHALL NOT DIE BUT LIVE

”I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.”

Psalm 118:17

In spite of David’s enemies continually trying to kill him, David made a powerful declaration: “I shall not die but live!”

Just like David’s enemies tried to kill him, you too may have an enemy trying to kill you. It may be a person, a sickness, a spirit, etc. The good news is that they have not succeeded. You are still alive! Their plans did not succeed yesterday, they will not succeed today and will not tomorrow! No weapon formed against you will prosper!

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17

CANCEL THE FUNERAL—HEZEKIAH

Isaiah 38

Hezekiah was sick unto death when the prophet Isaiah walked into his room. I am sure Hezekiah hoped to hear a good word from the prophet. Instead, the prophet said, “Set your house in order. You shall not live but you shall die.”

“In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.” Isaiah 38:1

Hezekiah did not give up so easily. He did not want to die, he wanted to live. So what did he do? He turned his face to the wall and he prayed and God heard his prayer. God sent the same prophet into the same room with the same man in the same bed, but the prophet had a new message: “God has heard your prayers—you shall not die but live for God has added fifteen years to your life!”

“Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.” Isaiah 38:5

Hezekiah’s funeral was cancelled. The healing virtue flowed through his body and brought new life. That new life caused death to flee and added years to his life.

IF GOD KILLED IT, LET IT REMAIN DEAD

I must say, if the things that are dead in your life are things that God has killed or let die, let them stay dead!

If it is a relationship that was going nowhere, a relationship that would only bring you pain, hurt and tears, do not try to resuscitate it. Let it remain dead so God can bring a better relationship into your life.

If it’s a business that has served its day, let it stay dead so God can let another business be birthed within you… one that will serve this generation and will bring more blessings to you than that last one.

If it’s a ministry that has served its purpose, let it stay dead, do not try to resurrect it so God can begin a fresh, new ministry in you, one that will be relevant(?) to today’s generation.

If it is a door that God has closed, let it stay closed. Do not try to reopen it. Why? Because God is about to open a bigger and better door for you.

If the dead things are things God killed or let die, let them stay dead! Do not try to keep the things in your life that God has removed no matter what they are.

Let those things die in your life, your ministry, your family, your finances and your business. Let them die so something new can be resurrected. It’s time for your new life.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME

Why let the things that God killed or let die stay dead? Because God has something better for you!

The things that have been illegally crucified or died a premature death is a different story. If it is something that has not served its purpose, if it is something God is not through with, refuse to accept death. Decree: “You shall live again!” Prophesy to it. Speak to it. Talk to it.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Proverbs 18:21

I prophesy life to your dead:

• Prayer life

• Worship

• Praise

• Fasting

I prophesy life to:

• Dead relationships

• Dead dreams

• Dead visions

• Dead prophetic words

I repeat: Everything in your life that has been illegally crucified or prematurely died will live again!

I PROPHESY LIFE…
