Topic: LOSE YOUR LIFE FOR JESUS
Acts 20:22-24 King James Version (KJV)
22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Beloved, being an Evangelist is one thing that challenges your mindset as a child of God, it is one that needs a lot of courage and encouragement to stand.
Most of the time, you have to encourage yourself in the Lord according to what He has spoken to you, and continue through all the difficulties, challenges, trials and tribulations. At certain times God will send others to encourage you.
Beloved, as Evangelists, we know what awaits us in every village, town or city. Afflictions and bonds awaits us but we know our Lord God Almighty shall surely deliver us from all these.
To be a successful Evangelist, to do the work and not give up at anytime you need to carry a certain die hard mindset and spirit.
You should have this in mind and in spirit, that:
1. You should not be moved by any of the trials and challenges and afflictions that attack you. You know they will come, the Spirit of God has made us know so, so just careless about them for He shall deliver you.
2. Cherish not your life, don't bother about losing your life or saving your life. Donate your life to God as an Evangelsit. Don't count your life as your own but for God and His people who He will send you to so whether you die or live it is for Jesus.
Beloved this is the only way you can finish your work for God in joy and fulfil the ministry given to you by Jesus, that, many through your work will come to know Jesus, believe in Him and have salvation and many will testify to the Gospel of the Grace of God as you testify for they have through you seen the works of the Grace of God.
Beloved, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. Once you catch the revelation of belonging to Jesus and being used by Him in all ways according to His will, beloved you will do the evangelism work without any complains but testimonies of His Grace to the glory of God.
Prayer: Father please strengthen me for the course for which you have called me and put me on as an Evangelist and may your peace always be with me in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
