Summary: there’s always going to be something to take your focus off of the truth, someone telling you can’t do this or that, but God would have me tell you, you can. As long as you focus on Jesus your life coach, your guide and instructor, there’s no mountain you can’t climb

“Lead me on to the top of the mountain,

lead me safe to the other side,

take my hand dear Lord and guide me,

as long as you're going I don't mind the climb!”

Those are the lyrics from the song Lead me on, by the Ernest Carter Trio.

In life, everyone wants to go to the top of the mountain, very few enjoy the sights and memorable moments all along the way.

Jesus came so we could have life more abundant the Bible says, you could say Jesus came so we live and enjoy life on the mountain everyday of our lives and still be an understatement of God’s definition of abundant life.

With so much promised to the Christian and the kind of life and quality of life at stake, makes one wonder why, more of God’s children don’t take God’s Word and promises literally!

Any mountain climbing guide who has ever helped or directed someone to scale a mountain has said this to their clients. As long as you don’t get distracted and lose focus, and above all pay attention at all times to me and what I’m saying and telling you, you’ll be just fine and make it to the top. If not, there’s a real good chance you’re not going to make it!

In life, in your relationship with God, in your every waking moment, there will always be by the accusers design, distractions clambering for your attention to keep you from what your true focus should be on.

Miley Cyrus lyrics from the song the climb....

I can almost see it

That dream I'm dreaming but

There's a voice inside my head saying

You'll never reach it,

Every step I'm taking,

Every move I make feels

Lost with no direction

My faith is shaking but I

Gotta keep trying

Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain

I'm always gonna wanna make it move

Always gonna be an uphill battle

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side

It's the climb

The words to that song are a metaphor for life, there’s always going to be something to take your focus off of the truth, someone telling you can’t do this or that, but God would have me tell you, you can.

As long as you focus on Jesus your life coach, your guide and instructor, there’s no mountain you can’t climb and there’s nothing you can’t do or overcome!

Proverbs 3:3-6 NKJ

3. Let not mercy and truth forsake you;

Bind them around your neck,

Write them on the tablet of your heart,

4. And so find favor and high esteem

In the sight of God and man.

5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6. In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.”

Far too many in society are not relying on God to direct their path, far too many are lost, daily led astray and can’t seem to find their way to the truth!

There is a war that is being waged for the soul of mankind, every waking moment of everyday! The devil has read the back of the book and knows everyday, this is do or die time! And everyday by his design comes with a new set of distractions, untrue’s and misleading’s of its own!

Think of the things that have happened since 911;

Who would’ve ever thought jet airliner brought down the World Trade Center’s?

Who would’ve ever thought we would have our children terrorized and shot to death while they were at school?

Who would’ve ever thought We would see pick up trucks and moving vans used as battering rams to run over people while they were vacationing?

Who would’ve ever thought we would have seen 10 bombs mailed to 10 politicians at the same time?

Who would’ve ever thought the idea of a woman’s right to choose, would lead to 40 million abortions?

Who would’ve ever thought we would’ve seen on TV, a good Christian conservative man with a 30 year stellar career, terrorized and made out to be a gang rapist, alcoholic and one of poor judgement in a job interview for a Supreme Court Justice, all by the devils design so he wouldn’t become one?

These are serious distractions, with one thing in mind, they are designed to eliminate your focus of God’s Love, abundant life and healing promises that is waiting for whosoever is willing to accept them and to be Loved!

“For you to comprehend how much God wants to really do for you and bless you. You have to first of all, understand how much he truly loves you! Because, when you understand how much He loves you. It makes it so much easier to trust Him and wait on His direction in your life!”

The Word of God gives us great instruction, when it comes to letting God lead and direct our lives. All we have to do is read it! There are far to many bibles stuck in a drawer or in a box on a shelf in the back of the closet with pages that should be tattered and almost falling out from too use!

Psalms 121:1-6 MSG

121 1-2 I look up to the mountains;

does my strength come from mountains?

No, my strength comes from God,

who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.

3-4 He won’t let you stumble,

your Guardian God won’t fall asleep.

Not on your life! Israel’s

Guardian will never doze or sleep.

5-6 God’s your Guardian,

right at your side to protect you—

Shielding you from sunstroke,

sheltering you from moonstroke.”

The accuser would have mankind think that there is no hope whatsoever! And with what is displayed on the nightly news, you would be led to believe there’s not!

But I’m here to tell you there is Hope and Hope has a name and His name is above every other name! His name is Jesus, Jesus, JESUS!

The devil would have mankind think the solution to the whole world’s dilemma is a complicated one, yet but another lie from the father of all lies! The moment you ask Jesus in your heart, His Undivided attention gets placed over your life?

There will be a lot of people, politicians and those of many other names that will want to come into your life and act like they care about you. But no one, will ever care for you like Jesus and His Father can.

The word of God say’s in Matt 6:7-13 MSG

7-13 “The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this:

Our Father in heaven,

Reveal who you are.

Set the world right;

Do what’s best—

as above, so below.

Keep us alive with three square meals.”

“Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.”

“Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.

You’re in charge!

You can do anything you want!

You’re ablaze in beauty!

Yes. Yes. Yes.”

The accusers message is that of one of denial, one of demise, one of condemnation, one of no you’re not worthy!

He doesn’t act like it and he surely doesn’t want the world to realize and know it either, but Satan has been defeated, not is going to be defeated, but has already been knocked down and defeated!

God would have me tell you this morning, to stop looking to the right and to the left, to stop being distracted by the distractions and look to Jesus! Focus on what you know is true, focus on what you know you have been promised and start enjoying the abundant life that is waiting for you to be enjoyed!

1 John 4:17 AMP

In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world

Some would say this verse is not to be taken literally! How can we say every verse in the Bible is the literal inspired word of God, except for the ones that seem to hard to believe like this one?

Because we have been brainwashed by the accuser, Into the idea that we are not worthy enough to be placed on the same level of receivership God has for his own son! That we’ve done nothing to qualify or merit such a magnificent gift!

The part that we have done nothing is correct, God knew we would never be able to do enough or be enough on our own is the truth! That’s why He sent the Truth, the Life and the Way all the way to the cross as an overpayment to cover the cost of our qualification, to have the same receivership ability as His own Son Jesus!

If you need finances this morning, finances are available!

If you need Healing this morning, Healing is available!

If you need a Miracle for a need this morning, Miracles for every need imaginable are available!

Take God’s Word literally, every last syllable now and forever and realize you have been given everything Jesus has available to Him, and made available to you!

There has been a mirage of distractions and dillusion since God wanted the promise and degree of receivership made public knowledge of 1John 4:17 and Nothing has ever changed God’s mind about His promises for His children!

In his excellent history of the silent film, "The Parades’ Gone By," Kevin Brownlow tells the amazing tale of a lanky, good looking young man from Montana would do just about anything to get into the movies.

In 1926, Paramount was filming one of the last of the big budget silent westerns, "The Winning Of Barbara Worth," and this young man was hired as an extra for the picture.

In one scene, a character was to stagger out of a blizzard, rap on the door of a cabin. When the door opened he was to collapse from exhaustion. Ronald Colman, the star of the picture, was to catch him before he hit the floor.

The actor, originally cast the part, refused to cooperate because director Henry King wanted him to fall forward, but not throw out his hands to break his fall in case Colman didn’t catch him.

Now King was desperate. Suddenly he spotted the young man lurking in the shadows of the set. "Hey, cowboy," the director shouted. "Do you think you can do this scene?"

"Yup," the fellow replied! “Okay," King said. "Just remember, don’t throw out your arms. Trust Colman to catch you."

The camera was rolling. A knock sounded and Colman opened the door. The apparition in the doorway looked as if he had trudged three days in the blinding snow. Suddenly his eyes rolled back and he pitched forward.

The slightly-built Colman just managed to stop his fall -- the young man’s nose was inches from the hard floor. But his arms were loose. He had placed every bit of his trust in Colman to catch his fall and prevent a serious injury.

Director King was so impressed with the performance that he gave the brave young fellow a larger part in the picture. Gary Cooper had finally won his screen career. And the rest is history.

God wants us to have the same complete faith in Him and realize, nothing is impossible or will ever be withheld from us and the abundant life He has planned since the beginning for us to live! A life on the mountain of God’s extravagance our relationship with Jesus stands ready deliver on a continual basis!
